The Wokest Place On Earth: Disney Training White Employees To “pivot” From “white dominant culture” To “something different”

The Wokest Place On Earth: Disney Training White Employees To “pivot” From “white dominant culture” To “something different”

Disney training “also called for white staff to ‘decolonize your bookshelf’, ‘participate in reparations,’ and take time to understand and embrace the defund the police movement.”

Disney is reportedly training its employees in Critical Race Theory.  The training modules are horrifying, and the goal appears to be to belittle their white employees as racist oppressors who have to make amends for the evil they inflicted on the world by being born white.

Christopher Rufo first broke the story, and it’s quickly going viral.

The Daily Mail reports:

Newly revealed Disney’s training documents show the company asked their white staff to ‘decolonize their bookshelves,’ participate in reparations and complete a ‘privilege checklist’ as part of their anti-racism training.

The media conglomerate has been slammed as becoming the ‘Wokest Place on Earth’ after the training module showed them adopting ‘critical race theory’ as part of their employee training.

. . . . Rufo says Disney executives ‘bombarded’ employees with trainings on ‘systemic racism,’ ‘white privilege,’ ‘white fragility ,’ and launched racially segregated ‘affinity groups’ at the company’s headquarters,.

The training documents show that staff were asked to complete a ‘privilege checklist’ , and read a series of how-to guides, including ’75 Things White People Can Do for Racial Justice.’

. . . . The 22-page ‘Reimage Tomorrow’ document says to ‘take ownership of educating yourself about structural anti-black racism’ and to ‘work through feelings of guilt, shame and defensiveness to understand what is beneath them and what needs to be healed.’

The documents specifically tells employees to ‘challenge color-blind ideologies and rhetoric, such as the phrase ‘all lives matter.’

Here are some of Rufo’s tweets (via Twitchy):

You can read Rufo’s full report and review all of the anti-American racist Disney training materials here.

Rufo appeared on Tucker’s show to discuss this revolting, anti-white, anti-American indoctrination Disney is forcing on its employees.

For its part, Disney has responded to the wide-spread outrage as follows, per the Daily Mail:

A Walt Disney Company spokesperson said in an emailed statement to DailyMail.com that the internal documents are being ‘deliberately distorted as reflective of company policy.’

‘Their purpose was to allow diversity of thought and discussion on the incredibly complex and challenging issues of race and discrimination that we as a society and companies nationwide are facing,’ the spokesperson said.

‘The Disney brand has a long history of inclusivity, with stories that reflect acceptance and tolerance and celebrate people’s differences, as we have consistently demonstrated,” said the Disney spokesperson, citing recent movies like Moana, Coco, Black Panther, Soul, and Raya and the Last Dragon. ‘As a global entertainment company we are committed to continuing to tell stories that reflect the rich diversity of the human experience.’

So, yes, we are training our employees in this toxic, divisive, racist garbage, but that’s not all we do. Just look at all the other woke drivel we shovel out to the masses.

Needless to say, people have thoughts.

Whites need to organize boycotts and have our own Sharptons and Jacksons, but articulate. Raise hell. Fight. Demand white people be seen in advertising again. White (not mixed) families.

Ooh. I sound racist. I no longer care.

No, not whites, and certainly not people of white, but rather Americans: Pro-Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, without diversity, sexism, and other class-based bigotry.

Decolonize my bookshelf. I don’t own any of these in VHS or DVD, but, if I did. Thus means no Tom Sawyer. No Snow White. No Davy Crockett. No Mary Poppins. No Old Yeller (,white people).

They must “listen with empathy [to] Black colleagues” and “not question or debate Black colleagues’ lived experience.”

In other words, white people must now “#BelieveAllBlacks.”
Except, of course, when the black is a Republican spokesman, and the white is a Democrat at the Washington Post.
In other words, exactly like #BelieveAllWomen works now.

alohahola in reply to The Friendly Grizzly. | May 9, 2021 at 8:30 am

It’s awful. I saw my former boss use it in a flyer once and thought she was just being pretentious. I almost called her out on it but left it alone. Lucky for me I didn’t say anything or I would have been subjected to another one of her condescending teaching moments.

For “allyship” substitute “slave”. An ally’s required duties are little different from what is expected of a slave.

I was thinking of all kinds of priveledged stuff to put on the list.

I’ve never had a child out of wedlock.
My child has a father that is present.
    I’ve never shoplifted.
I’ve never gotten a scholarship or paycheck for checking my skin color.
I’ve never gotten a job for checking a box about my race.
    I’ve never robbed a c-store.
    I’ve never taken crack.
I stayed in school and paid for my own college.
I didn’t dream of being in the NFL or NBA.
    I can’t jump.

Privilege checklist:

1. I can read.
2. I’m not so gullible as to believe the color of my skin makes me a bad person.
3. I wasn’t aborted.
4. I have a sense of humor.
5. I can count beyond 4.
6. I remember when Disney shows were for the whole family.
7. Feel free to add more.

Milhouse in reply to irv. | May 9, 2021 at 1:07 am

Those are indeed all privileges, for which we should be grateful. That’s the point here; privilege is nothing to be ashamed of, but it is something to be aware of and grateful for. When we see someone who lacks our privileges there’s no reason to feel guilty, but we should feel thankful and remember that “There but for the grace of God go I”. The idea that privilege is wrong and should occasion resentment or shame is perverse.

alohahola in reply to Milhouse. | May 9, 2021 at 8:39 am

I’m ashamed I didn’t take enough advantage of my privilege.

It’s shameful to have a privilege and not make the most of it.

Morning Sunshine | May 8, 2021 at 10:38 pm

never having been raped is privilege? I tend to think it was 90% cuz I didn’t get drunk in college, and I had parents who were married to each other.

Milhouse in reply to Morning Sunshine. | May 9, 2021 at 1:10 am

The second thing is a privilege. You did nothing to earn it. You were given it by God, or if you prefer by the random workings of fate.

The first thing is something you did, and of which you are justly proud, but it’s not a guarantee; you did what you could to lower your chance of being attacked, but the fact that you weren’t still isn’t entirely your own doing. A good part of it is still a privilege God or fate gave you.

Morning Sunshine in reply to Milhouse. | May 9, 2021 at 11:29 am

my privilege, maybe, but their hard work to make a marriage work between them, and thus not exposing me to new boyfriends (who are more likely to abuse than a married father). Their united effort to create a “safe” place for me to grow up, including shunning family who were abusive. *I* may have done nothing to earn that, but my parents sure did, and I am working my butt off as well to create that “privilege” for MY children.

As for the college thing – that is why I said 90% not 100%. I am fully aware that there was still a chance of rape for me, and looking back, I remember some situations where I may well have been – but I was sober, and therefore in possession of ALL of my wits and brains, and therefore was able to see the situations clearly and remove myself.

Milhouse in reply to Morning Sunshine. | May 9, 2021 at 12:12 pm

Their hard work is your privilege. You have the privilege of having been born to such good parents, when you could just as easily have drawn the sort of parents that most street thugs have. That’s most of what “white privilege” really means; in the left’s view you should feel guilty that you were lucky enough to have such parents while the Trayvon Martins of this world didn’t. In my view they’re 100% correct to identify that privilege, but rather than feeling guilty or ashamed about it you should feel grateful. It’s a pity that some people didn’t have your privileges, but that’s not your fault.

drednicolson in reply to Milhouse. | May 9, 2021 at 3:14 pm

It’s not that anyone can be a success story, it’s that a success story can come from anywhere. That’s the heart of the fabled “American dream”. Equality of opportunity as far as can reasonably be provided. But opportunity can knock until its arm falls off, and it won’t amount to anything if you don’t show the initiative to get off your futon and open the door.

Milhouse, are you saying blacks cannot be good parents?

Of course I’m not saying that. How could you think I was? I have no idea what “Morning Sunshine” looks like, or what her parents look like, but they were obviously good parents, while the Trayvon Martins of this world — regardless of their color — have sh*tty parents. And we have no control over what sort of parents we’re dealt at birth, so drawing a good pair is a privilege for which we should be glad and grateful.

I am constantly teaching situational awareness to my son, by example. Similarly, good self-defense classes are those which emphasize that the first 98% of self-defense doesn’t involve a firearm. Sadly, as more kids bury their faces in their phones, especially when crossing a street (hint, that is where the cars usually are), I see even more victims being produced through sheer lack of awareness.

        THE WORST WHITE PRIVILEGE

        Thinking the best of people.
        Being Complacent.
        Being good-natured.
Not realizing when your country is under attack.
Thinking someone will do something about it – so you don’t have to.
Thinking no rational person would try to F**-UP what generation worked hard to build in America.

White-people are dumb. They fail to fight for what matters. What do you need? a PEARL HARBOR or a WORLD TRADE CENTER CRASH to understand that people hate you and want to see you dead or subservient. You want to play nice. They take advantage of your good nature.

The Domestic Terrorists are the Marxists – and they are winning every day.

I’m old enough… I met Walt Disney.
He paid his employees a huge bonus if you named your male child WALTER. The brains behind the magic would roll over in his grave, a thousand times, if he knew what these jerks are doing. I’ve got a lifetime pass, or at least until I toss it in the garbage.

Morning Sunshine | May 8, 2021 at 10:48 pm

Also – I have been boycotting Disney for over 15 years. I started after Pocahontas came out (as a historian, I was appalled). I was more solidified when Hunchback came out – I had just finished reading the Hugo novel and realized that there is NO WAY they could turn that into a children’s movie – and they did not; it is still too dark for children. And yet, when my children were born, I bought some of the classics – Jungle Book, Peter Pan, Pollyanna, but not the “scantily-clad, motherless, helpless” princess movies (I actually enjoy the Barbie princess movies better).
By the time someone I trusted recommended Tangled, I was done. No more Disney ever. I do not forbid my children from watching when at other people’s houses (forbidden in sweeter), but they know why I hate Disney, and they don’t care to fight me on it.
It is interesting to me how many people I know and know my Disney dislike have started agreeing with me in the last year or two. People who used to think I was just a crazy wacko but are now starting to see the anti-family values Disney is espousing.

No matter what they do, say, or pay; white people [and by extension non-communist Asians] cannot be defined as other than racist. That is what they are teaching now, and that is what they teach our children.

No one who is white, or culturally part of the western world, and no one who is Asian or culturally part of the non-communist Asian world should deal with Disney in any of its incarnations. TV, movies, cable, satellite, anything. They hate us and do not want us to exist.

No matter what you do, say, or pay, you will still be hated and the enemy. There is no reason to try to make peace with them because it is not possible. When people by word or deed declare that they want to destroy you, believe them and react accordingly.

Question I have is will The Walt Disney Company be changing it’s name to something else? After all, it’s quite well known that Walt himself had some, how shall we put it, interesting views when it came to blacks and how they were portrayed in his movies (eg. Song of the South. So it would only be equitable if they canceled Walt and changed the name of the company to something more acceptable.

Diversity, inequity, and exclusion. Woke and morally broke.

America does not have a “white dominant culture”. It has an American dominant culture as in Pro-Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, without diversity, sexism, and other class-based bigotry.

The leftist culture, the progressives (i.e. unqualified monotonic), the liberals (i.e. divergent), have a long a history of diversity and genderphobia.

LOL!

Disney Training White Employees To “pivot” From “white dominant culture” To “something different”

Awesome! I can’t wait until they erect a nice step pyramid out of pace Mountain and start cutting beating hearts out of people. That’s going to be fantastic. Whites will never be able to compete with that … That’ll show them!!

T.I.D. – This Is Disney!

Reparations to all Americans who stood against slavery, inequity, and exclusion. In particular, to the men who fought and died during the civil war, and Confederates, too, who did not all fight to sustain the leftist culture, their families, and [unPlanned] Posterity who still refuse to take a knee to diversity, not limited to racism.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | May 9, 2021 at 2:52 am

The document claims that “competition,” “individualism,” “timeliness,” and “comprehensiveness” are “white dominant” values that “perpetuate white supremacy culture.”

LOL. Yeah … those are values that will certainly perpetuate superior performance and supremacy in pretty much everything. It only takes an IQ of 83 to figure out that those are the sort of things a poor-performing person or group might want to try and adopt …

This part is just a rehash of that laughable thing they did about “white supremacy” in that DC org … librarians or the Smithsonian or something. It was, I have to say, about the most flattering description of whites I have ever seen. I couldn’t stop laughing at the stupidity of people who were pushing this.

All this anti-racism is making me racist.

I think a lot of people, like the execs at Coke and Disney, are not actually true believers in “woke ideology”.

So I don’t feel a need to ever again pay attention to or take seriously anyone who is backing critical race theory and “anti-racism”.

Their words don’t matter.

That said, they’re free to say and do what they want. Just without me and my money.

I can make my own entertainment and don’t need cans of sugar water to be happy.

I am now taking “cancel culture” to the next level. What goes around comes around. Any company that wants my business had better treat me right or else I walk away. That’s freedom.

I went yet to another grocery store in my sh*thole city and yet another cashier of color who would not look me in the eye during any part of the transaction.

Not going back to that store again.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to alohahola. | May 9, 2021 at 6:18 pm

I’d have asked for the manager and told him why, ND pointing out who. Don’t just walk out. They need to know why..

I did this with my local Kroger. It was for different reasons but she knows.

I was at a local grocery store, and the person ahead of me in line got into some sort of altercation with the black cashier. I wasn’t paying attention until I hear him say, “Look, I haven’t finished my training and don’t know how to talk to you yet.” You could have heard a pin drop in that busy Saturday morning grocery store.

I was at first amused, we need “training” to talk to our fellow Americans, but then, I got what his fear was really about. He was afraid to say the “wrong” thing about whatever (I wish I’d paid attention, but I was just at the check-out line, not exactly on high alert for a story). I don’t know what started the thing, but he obviously questioned the scanned price or the posted sale or something, and when the cashier (who was black) tried to explain the problem, he broke down. He felt overwhelmed and racist and guilty and crazy for (say, again, I didn’t get the start of it) questioning why he was charged more than expected for a, say, grapefruit.

She tries to explain like a normal person, and he suddenly says he’s not “trained enough” to talk to her about the disputed grapefruit. It was beyond surreal. She just stared at him like he was a lunatic, and I get that, but I also get his panic at not wanting to be RAAAACIST and not yet having completed his struggle sessions to address his own rabid racism that he never knew he had before. It’s completely nuts that this is happening here, in Trump country, but it is.

Five in reply to alohahola. | May 9, 2021 at 6:46 pm

Life is short. No time for companies like that. The places I shop treat me great. Like the bike shop, hardware store, and auto mechanic. I like receiving information that is trustworthy and useful. Then I won’t even ask the price of what they’re selling.

I think too, we can learn from the BLM/Antifa/etc. people about what not to do. Instead, be nice. No need to insult people we don’t even know.

It’s time for all of us, in my opinion, to have a great Awokening. But instead of basing it on race or economic class, let’s seek out Truth and strive to improve our own selves. For example, most food made in factories isn’t good for you because of preservatives, nanoparticles, coloring, etc. Best is to make your own food from scratch and get healthy.
And the list goes on. Politicians and “experts” trying to tell us what to do and how to live? I’ll figure it out for myself, thanks.

Here’s something I wrote, you might appreciate:

      github.com/enthor/performancebeyondV2

Let’s up our game. Get strong.

Oh for God’s sake, how do we attract these people? Yeah, let’s all just ignore the orchestrated collapse of everything that is good and just about America and whinge on about food purity. My eyes cannot roll hard enough on this one.

Dear Disney,
As a ‘white male cis gender heterosexual’ I don’t think that the interests of ‘equity’ would be served by my participation in your ‘comprehensive’ plans for a ‘competition’ in a diversity Olympics.

I have decided not to impose my ‘individualism’ into your efforts. Therefore I will not be performing any of your suggestions with any degree of ‘timeliness’. My own ‘lived experience’ informs my decision.

Best of luck in your efforts to divide everyone into tribes based upon immutable characteristics. I am sure you have a plan to react to the inevitable and imminently foreseeable consequences of deliberately creating strife, resentment and bullying based on those immutable characteristics.

That explains a lot. The last car I purchased was a 2012 Chevrolet Impala. If I had to make a documentary about my ownership experience with the car; I would title it “Total Recall”. I will be buying a new vehicle once the dealerships get some inventory again. It will not be a GM product.

Grrr8 American | May 9, 2021 at 10:26 am

This is a stealth Communist revolution, mixing Cultural Marxism (long rolled out in this country) and CCP Cultural Revolution “struggle session” tactics.

Just substitute “proletariat” for “Black,” and “capitalist” for “White,” and the parallels are immediately apparent.

Further, just as Mike Lindell has shown that the CCP was behind the coup that stole the election last November, if you follow the money-trail I’ll bet you’d find the source back in Beijing for BLM and other such groups (including in academia) peddling this Critical Race Theory stuff.

Similarly, “woke” executives co-opted by the prospect of China market money are willing accomplices to the revolution – some probably don’t realize it (useful idiots), others are willing traitors concerned only with their personal lucre.

The National Pulse does a good job of outing the CCP ties of leading figures within the Biden-Harris Junta (it’s not an administration, because those are elected – this group was installed).

Not to mention the years’ long compromise of the Biden family by the CCP.

The supreme irony. The values lotus-eating wokists want to denormalize are the same values that build and maintain the modern affluent society they live in. That give them the opportunity for naval-gazing in air conditioned lecture halls instead of digging turnips under a hot sun.

They’ll kill the goose. Then hold protest marches about the sudden golden egg shortage.

For the attorneys here: is there a viable claim of an employer creating a hostile work environment on the basis of race here? Has that been attempted?

As for Disney, well, I don’t remember Disneyworld being the happiest place on earth. I remember long lines, mediocre food, overpriced souvenirs, and a lot of crying kids with exhausted parents. Never going back.

They’ve produced some real classics — Mary Poppins, for instance, and the animated Beauty and the Beast are great films. But lately, they’ve just been recycling animations into live-action with passable CGI whilst making a mockery out of Star Wars. I imagine a similar treatment of the MCU is soon to follow.

I don’t pay for their channel because their product just isn’t worth my money.

“For the attorneys here: is there a viable claim of an employer creating a hostile work environment on the basis of race here?…”

Sure! This is new and fertile ground for lawsuits on this basis. Any colorblind judge or jury would be outraged.

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to TheFineReport.com. | May 10, 2021 at 2:12 pm

Completely agree. If your employer sits you down and tells you that you are evil or less worthy because of your race, interject that they are creating a hostile work environment based on racism and should stop. If they persist, inform them you have informed them of their hostility and asked again that they stop immediately. If they then continue, get all their pertinent information, names, contact information etc., and immediately contact your supervisor, who may be sitting in the room next to you. If the hostility is not terminated at that point, inform them you are seeking legal counsel and refuse to be further subjected to this hostile activity. If they further persist, get up and walk away telling them you do not have be subjected to a racist hostile work environment and what they are doing is against the law..

I would not be surprised if a lot of people joined you. But then, I have been surprised about a lot of supine behavior from my fellow Americans lately.

disney’s golden age was amazing–grew-up on walt’s cartoons and artistic masterpieces like “fantasia”–to think, much of that animated work was hand-drawn, page by page

to work there, in disney’s art department, was the epitome for an artist/cartoonist–beyond excellent, the best of the best, was the realm of inspired imagination

went to disneyland-orange county a few times as a child–wonderful and entertaining

believe the true “magic” of the place could be traced to walt himself–also believe it died with him

I grew up on the Sunday evening Disney movies, and I loved them all (though I did cry when Bambi’s mother was killed, I never soaked up the anti-gun message it was intended to convey). I’ve lived in Florida for most of my life, and have had great fun at Disney’s parks (from Disney World to Epcot Center), but I will never spend one cent on them again unless they reject this horrific Critical Race Theory toxicity.

The Disney I remember was pro-America, pro-freedom, pro-Constitution, this “new” Disney is toxic, anti-America, racist garbage not worthy of my hard-earned money. They are trying to get away with being “woke” and still sucking money out of the white middle classes they overtly disdain and despise. Only a moron would spend a dime on Disney at this point.

pivot away from White dominance, you mean like maybe South Africa? okay we could aspire to be like Johannesburg which has turned into a real slum of corruption and unemployment and filth and graft.

When did America get fooled into believing those with the least skills and experience should be allowed to change all of society ?
