Rep. Cori Bush Demotes Mothers to “Birthing People”

Rep. Cori Bush Demotes Mothers to “Birthing People”

Happy… Birthing People’s Day?

From the Department of I CAN’T ROLL MY EYES HARD ENOUGH comes Rep. Cori Bush, renown fringist, referring to mothers (that would be women who birth children) as “birthing people.” Birthing people. BIRTHING PEOPLE.

Her “birthing people” reference aside, Rep. Bush made a great pro-life case, whether she meant to or not.

Naturally NARAL, a massive pro-abortion org jumped on board the Birthing People Wagon.

Forget the biological arguments here, one need look no further than the manflu to conclude men are not designed to handle pregnancy.

Heck, even Arnold Schwarzenegger said “I’m going to be a Momma” in the awful 90’s flick Junior in which he played a scientist who successfully impregnated himself… (it’s as awful as it sounds).

All joking aside, Cam’s point here is spot on. As is the case with most of the far-left arguments, there’s typically an issue that desperately needs attention and focus but is forsaken for nonsense like “birthing people.”

Yes, exactly. So then that should be the point, not this “inclusive” garbage:

Also on point (and chuckle-worthy):

We are living in a Monty Python skit.
From Life of Brian. Back in the day, this was so stupid as to be universally hysterically funny.

FRANCIS: Why are you always on about women, Stan?
STAN: I want to be one.
REG: What?
STAN: I want to be a woman. From now on, I want you all to call me ‘Loretta’.
REG: What?!
LORETTA: It’s my right as a man.
JUDITH: Well, why do you want to be Loretta, Stan?
LORETTA: I want to have babies.
REG: You want to have babies?!
LORETTA: It’s every man’s right to have babies if he wants them.
REG: But… you can’t have babies.
LORETTA: Don’t you oppress me.
REG: I’m not oppressing you, Stan. You haven’t got a womb! — Where’s the fetus going to gestate?! You going to keep it in a box?!
LORETTA: [crying]
JUDITH: Here! I– I’ve got an idea. Suppose you agree that he can’t actually have babies, not having a womb, which is nobody’s fault, not even the Romans’, but that he can have the right to have babies.
FRANCIS: Good idea, Judith. We shall fight the oppressors for your right to have babies, brother. Sister. Sorry.
REG: What’s the point?
FRANCIS: What?
REG: What’s the point of fighting for his right to have babies when he can’t have babies?!
FRANCIS: It is symbolic of our struggle against oppression.
REG: Symbolic of his struggle against reality.

Comedians like to say that the recipe for comedy is tragedy plus time.
Likewise, the recipe for Democrat dogma is comedy plus time.

The purpose of such language is not to promote transgenderism into the discussion, but rather to separate the idea of mothers and parents from the moral, cultural and, perhaps soon, legal rights to raise and educate their own children. Classifying someone as merely a “birthing person” will eventually under far left and socialist/communist ideology, allow the State to assert the moral and cultural rights to take control of the raising and educating of children from their biological mother and father. The mother is only a “birthing person” and the father a “DNA supplier”.

      CaliforniaJimbo in reply to DrNo76. | May 7, 2021 at 11:31 am

If you are a birthing person rather than a mother then it is easier to take the children and raise them in the state creche as they desire. They can ensure that all children get the “Proper” education. Why isn’t NOW taking to the streets concerning this blatant assault against motherhood? Will this Sunday be Mother’s Day or Birthing Person’s Day?

henrybowman in reply to CaliforniaJimbo. | May 7, 2021 at 7:31 pm

        Ooh.
I will make sure to wish my mother, the Democrat, a “Happy Birthing Person’s Day,” and follow up by explaining to her that Democrats desire us all to switch to the new term.

On the day that they refer to men as ‘penis possessors’, along with the ‘birthing people’ our transition to living in “Cool World”.

JusticeDelivered | May 6, 2021 at 10:02 pm

There is a difference between mothers and fathers working together to have and raise children well.

And then there are birthing people, who in large part have children to get a government check, and then do little beyond birthing.

This is a shame.

NEVER

Get some roosters for eggs & raise some bulls for milk.

Then you’ll see that gender matters.

…especially when she squats down under that bull with a pail and starts tugging for a drink…

healthguyfsu | May 6, 2021 at 10:52 pm

A trans female pansexual marries a non-binary nympho and they have a baby boy via a surrogate lesbian anarchist and embryonic parthogenetic fusion of their cells.

I’m sure this child will turn out completely normal, but at least we were inclusive!

henrybowman in reply to healthguyfsu. | May 7, 2021 at 6:53 am

“We use gender neutral language when talking about pregnancy, because it’s not just cis-gender women that can get pregnant and give birth.”

    Color me dubious.

      TX-rifraph in reply to henrybowman. | May 7, 2021 at 8:17 am

      “gender neutral language”

Be more than dubious. Be ready.

It is dehumanizing language that leads to really bad outcomes. The Nazis dehumanized the Jews as an initial step..

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to TX-rifraph. | May 7, 2021 at 6:33 pm

And the Roma and the Slavs and the Poles and the halt and lame, and the mentally deficient. Jews don’t have a monopoly on who the Germans dehumanized, and I wish they’d stop talking like they did. I’m of Jewish heritage myself and am sick to death of it.

Then I guess that officially makes males “sperm donors”.

    n.n in reply to UJ. | May 7, 2021 at 12:55 am

And women are “womb banks”. And people are commodities. And “our Posterity” is a “burden”.

      henrybowman in reply to n.n. | May 7, 2021 at 6:59 am

No, I guess anybody can be a “womb bank” now. But they can’t all be “egg factories.” There’s a difference between “getting pregnant” and “being a meat incubator.”

Hell, we keep putting people in positions where they then think that what they are saying is anything we the people want to hear! She is a loon and we are giving her a podium to spew her idiocracy, yeah, like in the movie!

What makes her imagine that white birthing people get listened to any more than she was?

Dathurtz in reply to Milhouse. | May 7, 2021 at 8:17 am

Both times my wife has given birth, she was ignored a little more than I liked by a hospital that has an excellent reputation for deliveries. I had to advocate for her more than I was comfortable with. I didn’t assume it was because of our race. She is super white and I am almost completely of European descent, but could pass for 1/4 or 1/2 Asian.

You have encountered The Twilight Fringe.

Le Bron James-level stupid.

drednicolson | May 7, 2021 at 4:35 am

That’s birthist!

The Friendly Grizzly | May 7, 2021 at 6:14 am

Would a tugboat captain be a berthing person?

CaliforniaJimbo in reply to The Friendly Grizzly. | May 7, 2021 at 11:34 am

Will ships no longer call accommodations berths? hmmmm. I should have bought stock in sign-making companies. I thought we got rid of nonsense signs when we eliminated separate but equal (colored vs white fountains, bathrooms, entrances, etc). I see all we have accomplished is to eliminate any distinctions. UGH

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to CaliforniaJimbo. | May 7, 2021 at 6:36 pm

As the sailor said to the harbormaster as he hooded his eyes and stared waaaayyy down the wharf, “What’s up-dock?”

Birth isn’t a verb, so lacks present particple, gerund and deverbal noun. The verb is to bear.

To be born, nascere in Latin, is a deponent verb, passive in form and active in meaning. (nascor, nascere, nasci, natus), probably reflecting some confusion about the event’s being active or passive. Originally with a leading g, gnascor, hence pre-gnant.

Milhouse in reply to rhhardin. | May 7, 2021 at 10:01 am

Every dictionary I’ve seen lists “birth” both as a noun and as a verb; as a verb it is synonymous with “bear”.

CaptTee in reply to Milhouse. | May 7, 2021 at 11:22 am

Yes, but, birthing the idea the “birthing people” are better than “mothers” is still a bad idea.

This is just another example of why we don’t need any more Bushes in Washington.

rhhardin in reply to Milhouse. | May 7, 2021 at 9:26 pm

Birth is used as a verb in the same way that a tree stump is used as a chair. But a tree stump isn’t a chair.

Just one more example of the Woke generation. There was a Great Awakening once, a time when Protestants renewed their faith and overcame a move toward all things secular. We are facing a similar time. Awakened Christians believe in the power and awe of both conception and birth and consider the responsibility of parenting to be a sacred duty. The Woke crowd believes that conception and parenting amongst themselves is akin to giving birth in many other animal species, say dogs for example. Dogs just “roll together” on the street, the male depositing his sperm, impregnating the female and then moving on to his next conquest. The female nurses until such time as the pups can find food for themselves and then she moves on. The pups are then left to fend for themselves until, hopefully, some human takes them into the fold.
This is what the left is attempting to do to human reproduction. Reduce the family unit from a caring, supportive, nurturing pair of parents to two dogs hooking up on the street? Who would have thought the world would have devolved to this level and so quickly?
I am curious, though. Is Woke translated into other languages as an incorrect descriptor for a group of humans or is that just an English anomaly?

henrybowman | May 7, 2021 at 6:49 am

Today, a member of a street gang loitering at the 7-11 called me a white birthing person f*r. The end times are near.

cyduction in reply to henrybowman. | May 10, 2021 at 9:54 pm

The only response, other then raising an eyebrow and glaring them into submission is” Excuse me, I am not sure I heard you correctly. Could you please say that again a little louder. Did you just call me a Bleeder? Or did I hear you referring to race? Its loud here so I am not sure I Heard you correctly. Considering you are some random dude hanging out at a 7-11.” But then again, looking shit heads in the eye and calling them out for stupid can be risky in itself. It all depends on your level of Honey Badger.

TX-rifraph | May 7, 2021 at 8:11 am

This is simply the next step in the left/Democrat dehumanization of people. They have been successful in getting the culture to be racist by converting a human being, a unique free-thinking individual, who happens to have dark skin (assigned by God), into a “Black” that is interchangeable with any other “Black.” They must all think alike and be treated the same (equity?) per the Democrat (pro-slave) Party. Putting people into groups makes the members of a group interchangeable. It is evil.

It is easier to kill, exploit, and use a person if you have dehumanized that person into a statistic. Expect more of this evil, at least until it is stopped by those who value humanity.

TX-rifraph | May 7, 2021 at 8:20 am

Rep. Cori Bush is a useful idiot who is unaware of the French Revolution as a model for when the idiots are no longer useful. Then, they are just idiots not to be trusted. She is not on the inner circle she will discover.

How can you be a “birthing person” if you have no children and use Planned Parenthood/abortion for your birth control method?

scooterjay | May 7, 2021 at 8:49 am

Has Caitlyn Jenner been through menopause yet? I was hoping to see the delivery of her first child

CommoChief | May 7, 2021 at 9:26 am

What about people who identify as Mothers not birthing people?

IMO we are getting closer to peak woke. The d/progressive are reading their own headlines and listening to no one outside their own self congratulatory echo chamber.

They either believe this nonsense or pretend to do so. Their nonsense is becoming more publicly visible and more folks are catching on to their hustle. Regular, normal people who would be fine with weirdos doing doing their thing as long as the weirdos didn’t try and include the rest of us in their theatrics are realizing that the weirdos must be confronted, defeated and removed from power.

Lucifer Morningstar | May 7, 2021 at 10:15 am

On the one hand if you try and restrict abortions in any manner you are denying a woman control of their body and their agency. But on the other hand, they will now call a woman a “birthing person” reducing them to nothing more than a thing, an incubator, for the production of babies. Taking away both a woman’s personhood and agency. The hypocrisy . . . it burns!!

We’ve come so far – to be right back where we started.

Women’s rights movement was to stop the objectification of women and thinking of women as “baby factory’s”. Now we have a woke group who think they know better than any prior generation. They have no sense of history. They want to demean and degrade women because they don’t want to hurt the feelings of the Trans people.

They want to call women “Menstrators” and “Birthing People” and “People with a Uterus”.
ALL so that they can assign the term “woman”” to Trans people.

They are only 0.004% of the population but they want to tell everyone else what to say, how to say it and what to do. This is madness. It is also massively selfish for such a small number of people to tell everyone else what to say and how to act and to try to hijack womanhood. I’m a man and it outrages me. I cannot imagine how women must feel. Outrage x1,000 ! But, amazingly many women (the brainwashed woke) seem to promote this BS.

Everyone should push bac against it.

Happy Birthing People’s Day, everyone!

Let’s just call Cori what she actually is. A baby mama.

RightStuff1944 | May 7, 2021 at 11:05 am

Additional evidence that we are living in a leftist-created upside-down world. The goal is to confuse. Plan: disinformation, demoralization, destabilization, destruction. After the plan is completed, we will need to adjust to the new tyranny. Happy days.

Nova on public television had an episode exploring sex and the sexes. I was surprised at the consistent and proper use of male and female. They also were upfront about a baby in the womb being a baby with a heart beat and even the 5 senses and not just a blob of organized parasitic cells.

At the end though, they did have a birthing father. A fully functioning woman who identifies as a male and has a beard and mustache just to prove his manhood, I guess. These things are presented as normal and mainstream even though “birthing fathers” are like a one in ten million occurrence.

I remember a UC Berkley study that found that people think that homosexuals are between 10% and 20% of the population when in reality, the study found that closeted and outed gays represent about 1.5%. The Leftists have so controlled the narrative around gay and trans issues that they are considered normal and regular when they are actually the exception.

Another rejected MENSA member has spoken.

I wish all birthing people a happy birthing person day on Sunday!

Yet another village, missing its idiot.

OK. I have heard someone being called a “Bleeder” it is a derogatory term to denigrate “people who have functioning Vaginas and Wombs with Ovaries.” It is stated Specifically to Neg a woman and make her feel bad about herself. Or I have heard it used Against Women who have had medical procedures to save their life, but left them without the equipment they were used to identifying with. Whatever their reproductive fitness, to lower the conversation to “Bleeder” or “Birther” or anything that categorizes a human based on 1 single biological factor is DEMEANING!!!!!! It is INTENDED to dehumanize and single out specific biological factors. IT IS NOT INCLUSIVE!!!! It is the exact opposite. Why should Women, who can, or cant give birth, but are still BIOLOGICALLY women, let one more man (it doesnt matter if he lets a surgeon add BOOBS” tell her, demean her, and say crap like Bleeder, or Breeder. So I have a joke. ” A Gorgeous woman walks into her gynecological appointment. She is told to take off her clothes, and to put on this medical gown. Now the Gynecologist staff Know just what to put in the room. There are stirrups and a tray with lube and a speculum. Now the very talented OBGYN Gets down on her stool, grabs the correct tools, lifts the gown to start the cervical exam. UMMMMMMMMM. ” Speculums are not used for prostate exams, and the beautiful woman made an appointment with the WRONG department to deal with her prostate cancer. Because she does not have the correct holes.
