Psaki: Teaching Critical Race Theory, 1619 Project is ‘Responsible’

“…we believe that educating the youth and the future leaders of the country on systemic racism is indoctrination. That’s actually responsible.”

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki supports critical race theory, even calling it responsible for schools to teach it with the 1619 Project.

CRT and the 1619 Project came up when a reporter mentioned Sen. Tom Cotton’s proposal “Ivory Tower Tax Act of 2021,” which “would place a 1 percent tax on the value of the endowments of the country’s wealthiest schools, and put that money toward training for working-class jobs.”

The reporter brought up Cotton’s opposition to CRT and the 1619 Project. He proposed the “Saving American History Act of 2020,” which bans public schools from using federal funds to teach the 1619 Project.

Psaki spewed the lie that CRT teaches systemic racism. We all know it teaches white kids that they are inherently racist because of the color of their skin.

From Grabien:

REPORTER: “Well, he’s been critical of, for example, the 1619 Project. he’s spoken about critical race theory. He has claimed that there’s a liberal bias on campus that targets conservatives, I think would be a way to put it.”

PSAKI: “What’s he going to do with the money?”

REPORTER: “He wants to use it for programs for — I’m having a hard time coming up with the word. When you have job training, those sorts of things.”

PSAKI: “Well, without much detail of where he thinks our youth are being indoctrinated, it sounds very mysterious and dangerous, although I don’t think we would think, we believe that educating the youth and the future leaders of the country on systemic racism is indoctrination. That’s actually responsible.”

Please let us hear from all of those historians who spoke out against the many lies/inaccuracies/revisionisms in 1619 project which forced retractions from the author. She had to admit that it wasn’t really history but “a work of journalism”.
How is supporting such indoctrination even defensible?

A work of fiction. Poor fiction, at that.

Poor fiction indeed. The entire thesis of The 1619 Project — that the U.S. was founded for the purpose of perpetuating slavery — is not only demonstrably false, it is ludicrous and flatly contradicted by the historical record. The real facts are that in the decades leading up to 1776, the majority of the colonists did not want slavery, did not benefit from slavery, and repeatedly voted to outlaw slavery in America. The governors of the colonies, representing the British crown, repeatedly vetoed those anti-slavery laws, because the British didn’t want anything to diminish the income stream they were getting from their American colonies.

In one of the early drafts of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson had written a paragraph (which was later deleted at the request of some South Carolina plantation owners) which explicitly referred to the colonists’ anger at the British crown’s refusal to allow the colonies to abolish slavery. Here is what the excised paragraph said:

“He [the king] has waged cruel war against human nature itself, violating its most sacred rights of life and liberty in the persons of a distant people who never offended him, captivating & carrying them into slavery in another hemisphere or to incur miserable death in their transportation thither. This piratical warfare, the opprobrium of infidel powers, is the warfare of the Christian King of Great Britain. Determined to keep open a market where Men should be bought & sold, he has prostituted his negative for suppressing every legislative attempt to prohibit or restrain this execrable commerce.”

IOW, not only was the American Revolution NOT fought to perpetuate slavery in America, as the 1619 Project falsely claims, but the American colonists had repeatedly made legislative attempts to end slavery in America, only to have their efforts repeatedly overruled by the British crown, and the colonists were angry about it! Their anger was one of the reasons for the American revolution against the British crown, as Thomas Jefferson himself wrote in that early draft of the Declaration of Independence.

The 1619 Project is a pack of filthy lies. It is a blatant and dishonest distortion of American history, created by Marxist liars who fabricated a racist story in order to make Americans hate their country. This garbage is destructive, divisive, and false, and it has no place in our schools.

She mumbles so much I can’t tell whether she’s saying it’s not indoctrination or it is indoctrination. She’s definitely saying that it’s “a good thing” to teach 1619, etc.

I miss Kayleigh so much.

Kayleigh is sharp, and attractive. It was a joy to watch her in action. Paski is a dud. It must grind her tail knowing that she is inferior.

Responsible for what? The dumbing down of American children with respect to history. We want to teach history, not historical fiction! BTW, the dead white guys of literature will always be considered the classics and math is not racist just because there is only one correct indisputable answer!

It’s not even responsible

Wrathchilde | May 14, 2021 at 8:57 am

Sorry Jen, the word is spelled wrong. It’s not responsible, it’s reprehensible.

Antifundamentalist | May 14, 2021 at 8:59 am

And I quote: “I do not think that word means what you think it means.”

So the pedophile and Raggedy Ann believe that teaching outright and explicit racism is “responsible.” Why does this not surprise me?

1619….The first kidnapped Africans bound for slavery were freed at Jamestown. Indentured for a time to compensate for cost of traded supplies they were not the first slaves….that comes about 50 years later.

Worst Press Secretary ever. She makes Joe Lockhart look capable

There is no such thing as systemic racism (or environmental racism for that matter). As such, I am confused how feeding kids made up far left nonsense is “responsible.”

Responsible for what, exactly?

So more joining the Communist Club, welcome Jen hope you got a membership plaque

Who is dumber – Slow Joe or Raggedy Ann?

If they did a remake of the movie Dumb and Dumber starring Joe and Raggedy, Raggedy would be Dumb.
