Is Joe Biden really going to cancel student debt? Will the people who were responsible get refunds?

This is what we’re spending billions on right now.

Notice a pattern?

Compare and contrast.

Too late.

Hitting them where it hurts.

Here we go again.

They can’t let go of him.

Does teaching at Columbia do the same?

We demand reparations for responsible adults who paid off their own college loans and the loans of their kids. It’s not fair that the irresponsible get to be freeloaders on student loans while the responsible must pay for themselves and others.

That is my situation, I paid for my children’s college classes which were not covered by scholarships, so that they would not start life with debt. As a result, while I am not going to starve, my retirement is much less comfortable than it would have been.

Adding insult is that one of my daughters was throughly brainwashed.

Another insult is all those affirmative students who have completely useless degrees which only serve to give them a platform for CRT.

Surely you realize that we are under a Leftist regime and the irresponsible are the favored class of our rulers. Those who were responsible are looked on by our rulers with contempt and the lack of fairness is considered to be an additional benefit.

I gave the government six obligated years of my life after accepting an NROTC scholarship to help pay for my college education. How is my ‘refund’ going to work?

It isn’t. You, me, and – I imagine – most of the rest of us here at LI have led honorable lives and played by the rules. So, we get to pick up the tab for the lazy, the indolent, the “entitled”. If we don’t pay, the badges and guns of government will take it from us.

What about the parents who took out home equity loans at lower rates, so that their children would have no debt (at higher rates)?

It is best to get out of debt as early in life as you can, and the stay out of debt. Yet, in the end, your and my situations are probably similar.

Once Leftists get the hive going it will happen, they always need that next goalpost to stay moving.

I gave 6yrs of my precious late teen life to get my scholarship, the “older traditional’ GI Bill. I used it effectively to the end to earn engineering scholarship, BS…MS. Yes, 6yrs in the USN, “it’s not a job, it’s an adventure…and you’re sure to get paid….,” still I volunteered, Vietnam veteran, proudly still stand by the solemn oath of enlistment. Took out VA loans during latter yr of grad school. Paid in full, ….where’s my refund?

Rebates for my BS? I spent about $12K plus $5k paid by the GI bill.

My wife has a Specialist, 2 Masters, and a BE. There is about $35k tied up in her education. He parents paid for the BE ($13k) and we paid the rest

My daughters BS and Masters of Biology cost me $38k as she had a couple of grants and scholarships or it would have been about $12k more.

My son’s BS in Intermodal Transportation cost $48k.

I will take a $120K rebate for paying my way and busting my ass to get an education for my family.
