LeBron James threatens officer who shot Ma’Khia Bryant: “You’re Next”

LeBron James threatens officer who shot Ma’Khia Bryant: “You’re Next”

A policeman killed a black girl who was about to stab another black girl. The media, activists, and LeBron James don’t care that this policeman saved the life of one of those girls. They only care about the narrative.

One of the themes of our live event last night about the Derek Chauvin verdict is that mob rule and threats to burn cities made it difficult if not impossible to get a truly fair and impartial jury. The video of the event will be posted in a few days.

The Chauvin jurors, knowing that cities would burn and they would be doxxed and attacked if they voted not guilty, had to have felt the pressure. Even if there was sufficient evidence to sustain the verdicts, the threat of violence hung over and tainted the entire proceeding.

We have another good example of mob rule. LeBron James, possibly the most famous athlete in the world, issued at threat against the police officer who shot and killed Ma’Khia Bryant as she was about to stab another girl.

As we covered yesterday, the media and activists immediately created a narrative of a racist cop killing an innocent black girl, but it was all a lie, as we covered in Ma’Khia Bryant Police Shooting: Media and Activists Try To Stoke Racial Tension With False Narrative. Like so many other narrative lies in so many other cases, including the deaths of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown, once a narrative is set, the actual evidence is disregarded and the deaths are exploited for political purposes.

Here is an image of LeBron’s tweet (via Hot Air) which now has been deleted and which in the original showed the officer’s face:

LeBron isn’t apologizing for the threat, he’s playing the victim of the outrage he created:

A policeman killed a black girl who was about to stab another black girl. The media, activists, and LeBron James don’t care that this policeman saved the life of one of those girls. They only care about the narrative, and will use threats to get their way.

(added) Heather Mac Donald accurately assesses the state of mob rule hovering over cases of police use-of-force cases:

America’s cities did not burn last night. But the terrified preparations in Minneapolis and elsewhere in anticipation of the George Floyd verdict—the razor wire and barricades around government buildings, the activation of the National Guard, the declaration in Minnesota of a “peacetime emergency,” the fortified police presence, the curfews, the cancellation of school, the boarded up businesses—raise serious questions about the rule of law in the United States. Had the jury failed to convict Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin on all three counts of murder and manslaughter, the ensuing riots would likely have made the conflagrations of 2020 look like a Girl Scout campfire.

This likely outcome was evident long before Congresswoman Maxine Waters encouraged such violence over the weekend. Last year’s precedent, the ensuing 12 months of wildly inaccurate rhetoric about white supremacy, and the recent looting in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, over a fatal police shooting made such rioting a virtual certainty. That inflammatory rhetoric poured forth from every institution in the country—from the presidency, Congress, corporations, law firms, banks, tech companies, academia, and the public school system. The mainstream media pounded home the narrative about unchanging black oppression. And even after the verdict, the White House (perhaps that name will be gone in another year) and the press have doubled down on the systemic racism conceit, despite the coordinated effort to convict among Minnesota’s public officials and the state’s most prestigious members of the private bar.

Going forward, it is an open question whether any police officer can receive a trial free from mob pressure, should he be prosecuted for use of lethal force.

LeBron James is a symptom of the problem.

The “ad hominem” attacks are not very useful. I doubt any of those commenting on LeBron James’ IQ know him, and therefore, their comments say more about their critical thinking than Mr. James’. Keep in mind his background: pampered until he graduated from hight school and then moved directly into the NBA. I am sure he has not had the advantage of an education comparable to those reading this site.

On the other hand, everyone, including Mr. James should know you do not threaten anyone nor put a target on their back. If I were the policeman, I would look for the assistance of a good lawyer and sue Mr. James for $100,000,000, which is probably Mr. James’ two years income, for threatening him and inciting others to attack the policeman. In this regard, Mr. James has not, it appears, apologized to the policeman for the threat.

If the city of Columbus has to pay out one dime on this clean shot, then it is the end of policing everywhere.

were he a man of honor, he’d admit his mistake and apologize to this officer and his family–again, his actions(or lack thereof) reveal his character

As I’ve said elsewhere, the white officer should have turned around and walked away from the altercation when he saw that it involved blacks and not gotten involved in the matter. He wouldn’t be any worse off if he had simply allowed the black perpetrator to stab (and potentially kill) the other black. At least he couldn’t be accused of killing an “innocent little 13-years old black girl”. Of course, the usual suspects and idiots like James would be howling in outrage that the officer didn’t stop the crime, but I guess you can’t have everything.

is it just me or does that cop look black ??

Hey Jack Dorsey, where’s the twitter ban of James, that tweet certainly violated your use policy.
oh that’s right your AI didn’t find that one out of bounds.

Could we maybe tone down the racial rhetoric? The racial make up of any of the people involved isn’t the issue.

All LEO are in the ‘Blue/Cop tribe’. Surely we.all agree that, based on available information, any reasonable LEO would have responded the same: using deadly force to protect the life of a person being attacked by a knife wielding person who refused lawful commands to stop.

In the current environment every LEO, regardless of their race or gender are viewed, mistakenly IMO, as some sort of oppressive occupation force. The immutable characteristics of the LEO, the attacker, the girl being attacked, the man who kicked the the first girl the knife wielding attacker originally shoved down, the bystanders is not relevant.

By choosing to focus on the ‘racial’ composition of those involved we are playing into the hands of the d/progressive whackos who view everything through the prism of immutable characteristics.

    gran2ten in reply to CommoChief. | April 22, 2021 at 1:28 pm

Are you ignorant to the fact “a racial makeup’ idea is lead by blacks? Is this NOT racism on their part? Their condemnation is AGAINST WHITE OFFICERS, please explain that!

      CommoChief in reply to gran2ten. | April 22, 2021 at 9:08 pm

      gran2ten,

‘.Are you ignorant to the fact a racial make up idea is lead by blacks’

No. I am quite aware of the current focus on immutable characteristics by d/progressive. I simply refuse to play by their rules. IMO, these abhorrent ideas of superiority or virtue solely due ‘race’ have long since been discredited and condemned.

‘Is this not racism on their part’

Of course it is, I didn’t state otherwise. I simply refuse to be bullied into adopting the false notion that I should view everything through a lens of ‘race’.

‘Their condemnation is against white officers, please explain that’

From my vantage point I see every LEO, regardless of ‘race’ being cast as a villain. Many videos exist showing LEO of every ‘race’ being castigated by angry weirdo mobs.

I would simply urge you to reject the d/progressive narrative that everything is about ‘race’ or must be viewed through some ‘racial’ lens.

gonzotx in reply to CommoChief. | April 22, 2021 at 7:48 pm

      Binks,

I see the world for what it is. I choose not to be bullied or bludgeoned into adopting the false narrative being pushed by d/progressive/BLM that race is the only way of viewing life.

I reject that philosophy as false. The people who actually do choose to view everything through a ‘racial’ lens are, IMO, the true racists.

My home is secluded and has plenty of standoff distance with only one avenue of approach. Lots of thought, preparation and applied combat experience went into the design and placement.

I am well positioned to ride out any issues but I appreciate your concern. Others may not be.

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to CommoChief. | April 23, 2021 at 8:02 am

“Surely we. all agree that, based on available information, any reasonable LEO would have responded the same:”

I am not sure about this. I think, based on available information, a reasonable LEO would have been sitting in the Dunkin Donuts waiting for the news of arrival of fire and EMT to the scene. Then I would expect him to leisurely finish his cup of Joe and stroll over to the scene Code 1 and take a report.

It’s not quite reasonable, yet, to expect a reasonable LEO not to respond to a call for service at, but we are headed in that direction.

I thought “Stormfront” was taken off the Internet.

Then I read “Legal Insurrection’s” comment sections.

So you are disappointed the cop didn’t let the girl stab the other girl. As for complaining about “Stormfront” that’s rich coming from a Jew-hater who supports the party of antisemititc demagogues like Sharpton and Omar.

In the name of equality, I propose that everyone in the NBA donate half of their income/salaries to the WNBA. It’s only fair.

LABRON: “I’m so damn of seeing black people killed by police.”

to which I rejoin, “I’m so damn tired of seeing black people.”

James is vile; utterly despicable. Just another self-serving, self-aggrandizing, infantile Dhimmi-crat narcissist from the sports/entertainment industries.

It is long past time to put these people out of business.

This Ohio incident demonstrates for only the gazillionth time the Dhimmi-crats’ immutable and intrinsic dishonesty.

Actual instances of police misconduct involving black Americans are exceptionally rare, so, naturally, the Dhimmi-crats exploit and distort any incident they can, in order to gin up the black mob. They did it with Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, et al. Too many incidents to count. This dishonesty goes way back, to lionizing murdered Mumia Abu-Jamal, to lionizing the Black Panthers and their terrorism in the 1960’s and 1970’s. In other words, what we are witnessing unfold, today, is the bitter fruit of seeds planted by the Dhimmi-crats many decades ago.

Milhouse in reply to guyjones. | April 22, 2021 at 7:40 pm

Trayvon Martin doesn’t belong on that list, because it wasn’t even alleged to be police misconduct.

So why did this obscure shooting attract so much attention and become a bloody shirt for the black supremacist movement? My theory is that Al Sharpton, being a New Yorker, saw the name Zimmerman and jumped to the conclusion that the shooter was a Jew, and jumped at the chance to aggrandize himself by going after a Jew.

In New York and some other places, including southern Florida, that would not have been an unreasonable guess, though it could still easily have been wrong. In central Florida it was more likely to be wrong than right. And in this case it was very wrong.

And that’s how we got the “white hispanic” fiasco. Sharpton couldn’t actually say “Jooo”, so he said “white”, so that’s how the incurious and incompetent press reported it and believed it. When they heard he was hispanic they were still convinced he must be white, because Sharpton had said so, so they pointed out that many hispanics are white. Which is true, though this one wasn’t. By the time they realized their error it was too late to walk it back so they stuck with it.

Had Zimmerman used his mother’s name and gone by the name Jorge Mesa, none of us would ever have heard of him.

guyjones in reply to Milhouse. | April 22, 2021 at 8:49 pm

I referred to “any incident” in my post, Milhouse. I wasn’t writing exclusively about incidents of alleged police misconduct — I was referring to any incident that the Left will use to gin up the mob. This includes police shootings and civilian shootings (e.g., George Zimmerman). Obviously, George Zimmerman wasn’t a police officer, but, I put Trayvon Martin in the group for the reason of his martyrdom. That’s the commonality with the other incidents involving police — a black, sociopath criminal who was unjustly lionized by the Left and turned into a cause célèbre.

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to Milhouse. | April 23, 2021 at 8:10 am

An interesting take on the development of that clown show. I think the only exception I may take is that the press ever had any intention to “walk back” or were “stuck” with their gross and deliberately misleading characterization of Zimmerman, Martin, and the incident.

Your post seems to indicate the press followed the Reverend Al. I think he sparked the idea perhaps, but the corrupt press took that idea and ran with it all the way in full leadership of content and purpose.

Watch vile Xi-den launch a DOJ investigation of the officer to placate the black mob. An investigation with even less of a credible basis than the one vile Obama and Holder launched into officer Wilson, after he justifiably killed Michael Brown in self-defense. Wilson didn’t have the benefit of body-cam footage to help clear his name.

Elsewhere:

“Thursday on CNN’s “New Day,” critical race theorist Ibram X. Kendi, author and contributing writer for The Atlantic, wondered what would have happened in Columbus, OH if Ma’Khia Bryant had been a “16-year-old white girl in a wealthy suburban neighborhood.”

Well, for one thing, Ibbie, she wouldn’t have been out on the street, swinging a shiv, brawling in public like it was “Yes Day” at the county zoo.

OK, maybe Lena Dunham. Or a Kardashian. But they’re just (what’s that black term?) “skinfolk.”

Milhouse in reply to henrybowman. | April 22, 2021 at 7:43 pm

That’s the racist answer. The correct answer is that the policeman would have done exactly the same thing, but the bystanders would have immediately thanked him and cheered for him, there would have been no protest, and nobody outside that neighborhood would ever have heard of the incident.

Milhouse in reply to Milhouse. | April 22, 2021 at 7:44 pm

civisamericanus | April 23, 2021 at 12:01 pm

The position of BLM and the woke “Left” is obvious. If the Black assailant had been allowed to kill the other Black person, the latter would have been just one more victim of Black-on-Black violence and therefore not useful to the Cause (as the woman who was forced out of Hardin-Simmons University pointed out quite accurately, they do not care about Black on Black violence, or white on white violence, or indeed any violence that is not white-on-Black regardless of justification).

The assailant’s death is however useful to the Cause because now they can bleat that “a pig killed a Black person,” same as they did when a cop shot a man, Hakim Littleton, who was on bodycam video aiming a gun at the head of the cop’s partner. The life of the Black woman who was going to be stabbed does not matter to them, and neither does the cop’s.

By the way, see what the Sandefer family has to say about Hardin-Simmons. It is not very complimentary.
