Biden says he’s “praying the verdict is the right verdict” in Chauvin Trial

Biden, who likely only knows the evidence in the case from the mainstream media, is setting up to excuse riots and looting if there is the “wrong verdict.” He doesn’t say that, of course, but that’s what he’s doing.

Unlike Maxine Waters’ inciteful comments about “more confrontation,” it is unlikely the jury in the Derek Chauvin trial will hear Joe Biden’s comment this morning praying that the “right verdict” will be rendered because the jury is now sequestered.

AP reports:

President Joe Biden said Tuesday that he is “praying the verdict is the right verdict” in the trial of former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin and that he believed the case to be “overwhelming.”

Biden, ahead of a meeting with lawmakers in the Oval Office, told reporters that he was only weighing in on the trial into the death of George Floyd because the jury in the case had been sequestered. He confirmed that he called Floyd’s family on Monday and said he “can only imagine the pressure and anxiety they’re feeling.”

(1) Charges were entered while jury selection was underway
(2) Evidence entered by the state the night before it was presented
(3) Vandals attacked what they thought was a witness’s home
(4) Rioters destroying shops and attacking police demanding a guilty verdict from the jury
(5) Congressional members encouraging violence if the jury does not provider a guilty verdict
(6) Prosecutorial misconduct during closing argument
(7) and now the President joins in and says the evidence is overwhelming, calls Floyd’s family to provide support, and says he hopes for the “right” verdict.

Have I missed few reason for a mistrial?

    1. You mean the settlement the city announced during jury selection.

    2. The prosecution giving the defense about 500 pages on average of new evidence every day during the trial. Knowing that the defense had limited resources.

    4. Jurors having to travel to and from court through riot damage and boarded up downtown. Daily reminder to them of consequences of a “wrong” verdict.

No republican won state-wide since 2006 (only 1, Gov. Tim Pawlenty), and all civic, educational, corporate, non-profit + municipal government controlled by the left. They all refer to the “murder /killing of Floyd.” Start before 4:50. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cbmjILayto&t=2138s

    (8) Knowing that every juror lied about being scared for their safety and the safety of their family? Either they are total f’ing idiots or they’ve already decided on a guilty plea.

Every time I begin to think that Shufflin Senescent Joe can’t possibly get any lower–or more stupid–he disappoints me and goes lower.

He confirmed that he called Floyd’s family on Monday and said he “can only imagine the pressure and anxiety they’re feeling.”
____________________________________________________________________

and what of the “pressure and anxiety” that the offficer and his family are feeling?

what a pos you are, joe

Thank You Joe for trying to unite us .. you putz

FINGER ON THE SCALE

A better man would have sought to unite America.
Would have sought to deflate the tension.

Instead he put his finger on the scale of justice and gave his blessing to inevitable riots. Worst president ever.

Fuck you Joe Biden, you disgusting piece of shit.

Dark humor? Biden is Pro-Choice: summary judgments, planned policemen.

StandardMurse | April 20, 2021 at 1:16 pm

Further justifying violence if we see a hung jury.

Grant’sGhost | April 20, 2021 at 1:17 pm

me 2- but i think our views of what is “right” are different!

All of these pre-verdict loudmouths are making an appeal pretty smooth sailing for the defense.

The old system in our country is gone. Separation of powers, checks and balances, rule of law — all gone. Adjust and thrive in the new normal.

I want to upvote you because I am thinking the same thing, but it is too dark to upvote. But yes, this is really a critical moment where we see direct proof that the rule of law is officially overruled by the mob. I think and fear that things will move further in that direction very quickly the second after the verdict is released.

It was apparent to me somewhat earlier, when rioters, thugs, and arsonists got the “revolving door” treatment thanks to our political and social glitterati paying their bail, while “normal” Americans who exercised their right to self-defense (in many cases, never even using the lethal force they showed) were piled upon and persecuted by “our” elected representatives.

How long will the appeals process take place? How well protected will DC be in prison during that time and before it even begins?

    Typo, I should have typed:

Johnny Weissmuller in reply to broomhandle. | April 20, 2021 at 2:14 pm

DC was already in prison several months before he made bail October 7. I think he was kept in isolation for his safety.

Time to break up the union.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to lurker9876. | April 20, 2021 at 3:45 pm

N0t just break up the union. A lot of state territory needs an adjustment. Examples: southern Oregon and northern California counties finally forming Jefferson, or there is a movement afoot for five Oregon counties to join Idaho. That sort of thing.

Another Democrat POTUS that thinks it’s ok to put his thumb on the scale of justice.

Mistrial.

    lurker9876 in reply to Valerie. | April 20, 2021 at 1:32 pm

Only when it fits the narrative. Example: Ashli Babbitt

Milhouse in reply to Valerie. | April 20, 2021 at 5:16 pm

A lot of commenters think this ought to be grounds for a mistrial, or that Biden “put his thumb on the scale of justice”. They all seemed to have missed this bit:

Biden, ahead of a meeting with lawmakers in the Oval Office, told reporters that he was only weighing in on the trial into the death of George Floyd because the jury in the case had been sequestered.

The jury is not supposed to hear about this until after the verdict. Therefore it can’t cause a mistrial.

And even if a juror cheats, Biden couldn’t possibly have predicted that. Therefore he couldn’t have meant to influence the verdict.

alaskabob in reply to Milhouse. | April 20, 2021 at 7:10 pm

Classic doublespeak …. the true believers know what that means … the uninformed think he cares for justice. This.. and Water’s …. classic “dog whistles” that the Left accuses others of.

BernardMBaruch | April 20, 2021 at 1:32 pm

So…..ummmmm….like….why didn’t he call Chauvin’s family?

Can you imagine “the pressure and anxiety they’re feeling?” Watching your husband, breadwinner, father of your children try to save the murderous, drug addict and in reward get sent to prison for the rest of his life!!!

Did he call the family of Ashli Babbit?? Can you imagine your wife being shot for peacefully protesting without the assailant’s name being released or an equal persecution to what Chauvin has received??

He hasn’t called me up to console me as I watch the America that many of my forebears fought in foreign wars to protect go up in flames. Or to console me as I watch the days go by and his dirtbag son Hunter avoid prosecution while I just spent 20 hours doing my taxes so I don’t get my ass thrown in jail for missing reporting a penny of income.

Message to Xi-den — the “right” verdict is the one that a fair-minded jury, having considered all the evidence with an open mind, reaches.

Xi-den inciting the lawless and vengeful Dhimmi-crat mob that laid waste to American businesses, synagogues and lives, in 2020.

The vile Dhimmi-crats are perverting our justice system and believing that only the verdict they seek is the “right” one. Despicable.

Jury intimidation is massive in this case.

It’s hard to criticize Biden cause obviously with his advanced dementia he isn’t firing on all cylinders just reading what his puppet masters want .
So it’s the puppet masters who ever they are to blame for trying to make this all about race .
When the puppet says if a black man can’t get justice in this case they never will where did that come from ?
Chauvin was not charged with a hate crime and no evidence that race had anything to do with his actions .
It’s all race baiting and it’s all about dividing Americans.
Can’t see anyway forward in the USA except having some form of apartheid
Blacks will never be happy living amongst whites and will always blame them for anything bad that happens to them

nordic_prince | April 20, 2021 at 2:14 pm

He didn’t mention which god he was praying to.

I’m old enough to remember when Nixon did this during the trial for the Manson Family. What was a sh*t storm in the MSM then will be a nothing burger now. Good times

Johnny Weissmuller | April 20, 2021 at 2:20 pm

Even the suburbs are boarding up now. Schools closed for the week. Big companies telling their employees to work from home this week. Very little traffic here. https://alphanewsmn.com/

If the judge stops jurors phoning families they will be concerned some catastrophe has occurred.
Biden’s comments will influence the judge in event of a jury question.
Nelson should appeal to a higher court for mistrial.

healthguyfsu | April 20, 2021 at 4:37 pm

Remember when Trump commented on a judge’s ruling and that was a high crime worthy of impeachment? I do.

“Biden says he’s “praying the verdict is the right verdict” in Chauvin Trial”

But the only prayer he knows is “Now I lay me down to sleep.”

If the jury reaches the truly “right” verdict, maybe Biden can recite it on TV in memory of George Floyd.

Though his handlers would have to be close, to make sure he didn’t segue into “I’m a Little Teapot.”

This was meant to be a top-level comment:

A lot of commenters think this ought to be grounds for a mistrial, or that Biden “put his thumb on the scale of justice”. They all seemed to have missed this bit:

From today’s Daily Malarkey:

Gotta’ admire the cajones[sp] on Waters and The Squad, requesting police escorts and enlisting security detail as they disparage police and incite violence without worry.

Now, if the police had any principles, they could have dropped the mic on her by refusing the detail. But that would require them to have principles.

When you have so little self-respect that you won’t even refuse a job that demonizes your fellow officers and reviles the very oath you supposedly live by, you’re past the point of no return.

Why are you all angry with Joe Biden? Be angry with the 19th Amendment.
