DHS Sec. Mayorkas: ‘Loving Parents’ Send Unaccompanied Children to the Border

“We are not apprehending a 9-year-old child who’s come alone, who has traversed Mexico, whose parents — whose loving parents — had sent that child alone…”

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the administration would not turn away unaccompanied minors at the border sent by their “loving parents.”

From The New York Post:

“The Trump administration expelled children to Mexico. And we are not expelling young children,” Mayorkas said at a White House press briefing.

“We are not apprehending a 9-year-old child who’s come alone, who has traversed Mexico, whose parents — whose loving parents — had sent that child alone, we are not expelling that 9-year-old child to Mexico when that child’s origin, country of origin, was Guatemala, Honduras or El Salvador.”

Mayorkas said, “We are actually bringing that child into a Border Patrol station as a stepping point to get that child in the hands of HHS, that has the capacity and in the unique talents to care for the child — health care workers, mental health counseling and the like — and moving that child to a sponsor as quickly as possible.”

Do you remember where President Joe Biden’s team put those children? Officials put them in cages.

Oh, wait. The children went into cages when it was President Donald Trump.

Biden has shelters. Mike blogged on Saturday that America has seen a surge in numbers of unaccompanied children at the border.

The children will have those shelters if they even make it to a checkpoint on the border. I doubt human traffickers will go through the right channels.

Mayorkas also echoed a previous plea from a Biden official: Do not come to the border right now.

Mayorkas blamed the Trump administration:

Appearing in the White House briefing room, Mayorkas also took aim at the prior administration — and said the Department of Homeland Security is working to “replace the cruelty” of the Trump administration with “an orderly humane and safe immigration process.”

“It is hard and it will take time, but rest assured, we are going to get it done,” Mayorkas said, while adding that it is “important to understand what we have inherited, because it defines the situation of how it currently stands.”

“The prior administration dismantled our immigration system in its entirety,” Mayorkas said. “Quite frankly, the entire system was gutted.”

Mayorkas claimed that under the previous administration, “no planning had been done to protect frontline personnel of U.S. Customs and Border Protection” among others, including “individuals coming to our border.”

“It takes time to build out of the depths of cruelty that the administration before us established,” he said. “What we are seeing now at the order is the immediate result of the dismantlement of the system and the time that it takes to rebuild it virtually from scratch.”

Biden has an immigration plan, but it would help the 11 million illegal immigrants already in America.

Mayorkas and others asking nicely and deflecting blame to Trump will not stop migrants. The Honduran caravan said last month that it would continue its quest to the border. They also demanded Biden uphold his commitments to migrants.

The “charities” here in the U.S. make more $$ (read: taxpayer dollars) for juveniles. It’s big business on both sides of the border, for the coyotes, the “charities,” and the politicians who get kickbacks – er – campaign contributions – from them in order for them to allow this to happen. It isn’t a matter of a politicians’ indifference or greed. They really do hate U.S. citizens. They are replacing us as an electorate. And the spin Mayorkas puts on it makes my head hurt.

A new twist on the anchor baby scam: send your excess minors, then wait for the left to start “reuniting” them with their out of country families.

Yes, a simple means to normalize emigration reform, and mitigate progress of planned parent/hood, is to affirm that citizenship is a legal construct under the Constitution that unambiguously identifies two parties: the People and our Posterity. Both mom and dad need to be citizens (the People) at the time of conception (our Posterity) in order to confer natural born citizenship status.

These children were not come alone and by themselves. They are being used as human shields and sold to cayotes by their “loving” parents.

(Sigh) No. Just no. (Shaking my head) loving patents sending their kids unaccompanied? Seriously? They expect people to believe this cr*p ??

It’s going to be a long four years.

PINO (President In Name Only) Biden won’t make it 4 years, but they will move him around like “Weekend at Bernie’s”.

Dr* Jill Biden is the Geppetto to Joe’s PINOcchio…

Don’t look at it that way, look at it as 9,000 Moses-es every month.
Even Democrats can quote Scripture for their own purposes.

That’s as bad as trying to claim loving parents gave their kids into the custody of sex slave traders.

As a friend of mine in TX noted, “If a US Citizen abandons their child it is called Child Abuse, but if a non-citizen does it they are labeled “Loving Parents” – it is 1984 where up is down. WTFO?”

That was exactly my thought – if we had pulled such a scam, our kids would have been taken away (probably put into CPS, which is its own horror story) and we’d be thrown in the pokey.

I was thinking the same. The next time parents are accused of child abuse for allowing their young children to walk to and from school by themselves, they can refer to these comments in their defense.

Emigration reform to mitigate progress of [catastrophic] [anthropogenic] immigration reform and collateral damage at both ends of the bridge and throughout.

Something about reinforcing bad behavior….or sacrificing the young….I do not know, maybe both

In the past, parents sent their children through the fire to appease Moloch and receive his blessings. The modern equivalent is sending their children to the United States of America in hopes of receiving their blessing.

Voice_of_Reason | March 1, 2021 at 8:23 pm

If your purposefully incentivize a behavior – say, illegal immigration – then you mist want more of that behavior.

You can bet your sweet posterior that if illegals voted Republican, democrats would build a wall so long and so high that it could be seen from the Moon with the naked eye.

Let me assure you there is zero chance they will be sold as slaves or forced to work as drug mules.

Nope, those minors will not be used for sexual purposes because their parents loved them enough to send them here. In fact some kind wealthy benefactors helped finance the trip and will provide them a place to stay in exchange for unspecified labors.

Ah, I’d forgotten about the adrenochrome market. Wonder if there’s an equivalent to the Chamber of Commerce for them.

Mayorkas must be Hungarian for Bat Feces Crazy. What sort of “loving parent” sends a 9 year old kid to traverse all of Mexico to sneak across the border into the USA. This dude–or more accurately “dud” must be smokin’ some powerful ganja!

Ah heck, what did Hillary used to say? “It Takes A Village”?

Well, yeah, what loving parent wouldn’t at least think about putting their pre-adolescent children out with a band of gypsies, miscreants, vagrants, vagabonds and enterprising, pioneering entrepreneurs, seeking opportunity, prosperity, justice, equality and freedom.

Those abandoned children are righteously presented in the name of education, goddammit, they do it for the children!

healthguyfsu | March 1, 2021 at 9:10 pm

It takes time to enforce a border? What’s the cruelty in saying here’s a line that’s always been here that you can’t freely cross just because you walked to it?

caseoftheblues | March 1, 2021 at 9:26 pm

And if an American parent sent their 9 year old to the neighborhood park alone to play….you can bet CPS would get involved and you would lose custody of your kids.

I could very well be wrong, but I thought the law was that people who entered into the country and were caught immediately were returned to the place where they crossed illegally.

If you are crossing illegally and are caught, that would mean Mexico.

Is the Biden administration and DHS saying they won’t follow the law?

Tens of thousands of unnacompanied, undocumented, illegal minors cross the border each year, 70 percent are 15 years are older, but we are going to focus our attention on the one who was alleged to be nine. Of course undocumented means no birth certificate so don’t know how old they are, but we know many have come as adults claiming to be teens. What we need to do is start sending busses to Gutalmala and Honduras to pick them up and make it easier for them. Maybe we could take our homeless veterans there in exchange because we are not taking care of them here.

Please quit repeating this 11 million crxp. We have no idea how many are here. That 11M number has been used for thirty years. +/-.
Credible studies have suggested twice or three times that. I live in California, we could have close to 11M all by ourselves.

If you have 11 million now, how many do you suppose you will have in 4 more years under Biden’s open border policy? You might want to consider moving to Mexico. Pretty soon there will be no one left.

Loving parents don’t send their small children hundreds of miles away unsupervised. We owe these people nothing.

Only a Democrat, whose political party sanctions the killing of the unborn, can say that sending your child across either the Baja, Sonoran, or Chihuahuan deserts — the only way to enter the U.S. by land, is a “loving parent.”
