Virtual Event: How Critical Race Training is Harming K-12 (March 3, 7 p.m. ET)

We’re joining forces with Texas Public Policy Foundation for this solutions-oriented discussion

Earlier this month, the Legal Insurrection Foundation unveiled criticalrace.org, a site which catalogues the infiltration of Critical Race Training in higher education. But Critical Race Training has expanded its reach beyond higher education and is now pervasive in primary education, too.

We’re excited to join forces with our friends at the Texas Public Policy Foundation for solutions-oriented virtual discussion about Critical Race Training in the K-12 sphere. What’s happening there? What are we seeing? How do we get involved? And more importantly, what can be done? The panel discussion will include a Q&A portion. Space is limited, so be sure to register. Virtual event attendance is free.

K-12 is in for a world of hurt over this. I cannot think of a better issue to use to kill mileages, and that is something I have done 4 times over the past 40 years.

I became aware that Critical Race Theory was a scam upon discovering a doctoral dissertation which applied Critical Race Theory to black female middle-school principals.

The author of the dissertation was a black female middle-school principal. The school district had decided to not renew her initial 4-year contract. She had been an assistant principal at the school where she had been principal, so one would have expected that she would have been a good fit, but unfortunately she wasn’t. Several months after she became principal, nearly half of the teachers at the school signed a grievance petition against her. (One cannot ascribe the grievance petition to racism, as black teachers, just like teachers of other races, didn’t like her style. In addition, the previous principal, who had been promoted to a supervisory position, was 10 shades darker and also had the respect of her teachers.)

Given that background, it appears to me that this failed middle school principal used Critical Race Theory to rationalize her lack of success as a principal.

Ironically, she has been a tenured Ed School professor, specializing in training school administrators. She who failed as a school administrator is training prospective school administrators. Oh well.

I don’t think this CRT and BLM at school stuff is good news.

However. It is only as bad as parents let it be. I am fighting this crap now at the Olympia School District (you know… the hometown of Evergreen).

#1 I push back on anyone going to homeschool because of this or any amount of liberal indoctrination. This is a position of surrender when you hold the high ground AND the strength. These people are weak. They are insecure. They are often mentally unstable. They have NOTHING else in their lives. They are not winners at the game of life. They are essentially grifters with no other options but the job they have. This is a job they do very poorly on the best day. So you have absolutely nothing to lose by picking a fight. You have nothing to lose by making their lives a living hell. The school board member I got the most hateful email from in response to my inquiry was a music teacher (lots of high paying options with benefits for them outside the school district eh?) It’s almost like he was begging for a swirly.

#2 Kids don’t give 2 figs about this. Schools fail at literally everything they do. Though this could be the BeetleJuice time they raise the dead… not likely. It will go especially bad when kids start saying “EFF THIS- your pain is not my fault, nor is it my problem.”

#3 If you are involved in your kids life…ie- you do the work Your kids don’t have to buy into this teaching and can be as disruptive and painful as they want. These schools can’t discipline kids that are actual murderers- so there isn’t anything they can really do to your kid. So picture YOUR obstinate kid butting heads with the activist teacher (a teacher who is praying for June to arrive) and this garbage goes no where real fast. Don’t think this “who is the biggest pain in the ass” door doesn’t swing both ways. Believe it or not, a lot of white kids are gonna see right through this stuff and when that feeding frenzy starts and gets fanned by a few parents- this will be the field they will regret fighting on.

Don’t home school. Stay and fight.

Make. Them. Regret. It.

CRT is actual Black Supremecy put in place by the government and companies. It is exactly what they accuse whites of doing and believing. It’s underlying premise is one race is inherently good and noble and must be elevated above others…blacks…and one is inherently evil and inferior and must be punished or put down…whites. This type of racist ideoligy is how slavery, caste systems and genocide have sprung up and flourished throughout the history of mankind.

JusticeDelivered in reply to caseoftheblues. | February 26, 2021 at 5:16 pm

CRT is the black equivalent of Islam, with the founders having similar morals. Both are about dumb people believing that they are entitled.

The ironic part of all this, is that the black supremacists involved in all this don’t realize they’re being used.

In the end – if the left gains enough power – they’ll be put back in chains by their racist leftist masters. And the powers of the left are UBER racists and bigots.

Xi Ji Ping has not use for black people, other than throwing a basketball around. Wait, I take that back: they have a lot of use for them: as slaves. Just look at the Muslims and Uighurs in ChiComm concentration camps:

‘Their goal is to destroy everyone’: Uighur camp detainees allege systematic rape:
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-55794071

Can’t they call it wah tit is? Guilty Liberalism.

A metaphor that cannot be avoided deserves closer attention. If we examine the mirror more closely, we may find that the metaphor actually serves the sociology of literature in unexpected ways. The marvelously revealing mirror in Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen” offers a case in point. In this tale a demon invents a unique mirror : it does not reflect, it systematically misreflects. Andersen’s mirror shrinks and distorts every good and beautiful thing, and it magnifies everything evil or ugly. In this glass pleasant landscapes look like boiled spinach, normal people appear hideous, and kind thoughts become wicked grins.

The demon creator appears mildly amused by his invention, but his students, simple reflectionists, take it very seriously :

[quoting The Snow Queen]

All the pupils in the demon’s school – for he kept a school – reported that a miracle had taken place : now for the first time, they said, it was possible to see what the world and mankind were really like. They ran about everywhere with the mirror, till at last there was not a country or a person which had not been seen in this distorting mirror.

Eventually the mirror breaks. Shards of glass fly through the world and lodge in people’s eyes and hearts. These shards retain the peculiarities of the mirror, so that everyone sees the world through bent, distorted, and misshapen images.

Editors’ introduction to the “Sociology of Literature” issue of _Critical Inquiry_ v.14 n.3 (Spring 1988) p.428-429

CRT is a faction of postmodernism, call it academic postmodernism, where you analyze system you hate.

Nothing good comes of it.

The kind where you analyze systems you like produces insights. (Derrida, Erving Goffman, e.g.)

some things i believe we can all agree on

children come into this world innocent– free of hatred, guilt, anger, prejudice

all parents worth the title want their children to do well in life–to be happy, to fulfill themselves, to follow their dreams

no one on this earth–not ONE of us–got to choose their skin color

parents(as well as other concerned adults)would never condone or allow child abuse–child abuse is an absolute wrong–there is no excuse

criminal racial training seeks to infect innocent young minds and hearts with hatred, guilt and prejudice–to poison otherwise innocent and curious minds and hearts with the products of adult issues of hatred, guilt, anger, prejudice
it is quite simply, child abuse

JusticeDelivered in reply to texansamurai. | February 26, 2021 at 5:31 pm

It is child abuse. Parents need to be ready to descend on schools with their pitchforks, steaming hot tar and feathers. It might be best to do this as a preemptive strike.

Where were y’all 5 years ago, 10 years ago? When all this started to get traction? Or 25 years ago when things started to shift to “politically-correct” words and thought?

Don’t be fooled. This has been building for many years and now that the water is starting to boil you frogs start to wonder what can be done.

Passive or incremental responses will not work – you’re too late. To stop it now requires an active and aggressive push back with all your might. But Americans are complacent and lazy – while these radicals are determined and scream loudest.

They are winning. You, me and America are losing.

It has been building since the end of WW2, and in particular in the 50s: the communists infested the university faculties and hollywood. In other words, they got to the crazy people first.

The coverup of the JFK assassination – not the assassination – began America’s free-fall. The cover-up.

The RFK and MLK assassinations were toppers. The Vietnam War was almost the coup de grace.

The coup de grace was Bill Clinton’s election as president (with co-conspirator Al Gore), and his quickly selling himself to the Chinese Communists. (Obama was just a re-infection.)

Alas, it’s looking more and more like you’re probably right, BK. I share, have already expressed, and am thus a bit embarrassed (it’s got a strongly moralistic, maybe even haughty streak) by the sentiment you point out so articulately. So, I fully agree.

I’d been feeling like an outlier among my peers re omissive neglect bordering on high-risk for negligence in a past professional field for a long, long time. I’m recovering well these days, trying to pitch in to the Big Conversation at hand.

I played trumpet when I was young (and bass guitar later, but I digress). No coincidence, I now see.

I prefer Critical Meme Theory

Enter the Dragon …

“Chinese-American Rights Group Calls Critical Race Theory ‘Hateful Fraud.’”

Boston just stopped all AP classes (called Gifted and Talented in my State) for grades 5-8. Because too many of the students were white and of Asian descent or partially so.

The good news on that is it will create very bitter people on the part of the white and Asian students witnessing reverse racism upon them.

Wait till they start to vote. If it’s not too late for our country…

I wish I could register our CEO. We are getting ready to go through DIE classes.

In prep for the webinar tomorrow, this

might add some further depth to our reference base — as if the national obit in progress isn’t tragic and harrowing enough — in the ongoing, Dem-Lefty-run assault on our once pluralistic and great, classical-liberal-inspired culture.

One way to deal with CRT is to organize nationally to kill mileages all over the country. A year of killed mileages could send a message about unacceptable behaviors.

This really is pretty easy to do in low turnout elections. 6-12 core people contacting others over a few weeks can do the trick.

One of the mileages I killed was defeated by 6 votes.
