FDA: Johnson & Johnson’s Single-Shot COVID-19 Vaccine has ‘Favorable Safety Profile’

No more excuses, Dr. Fauci.

The FDA staff has endorsed the Johnson & Johnson single-shot COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use after a trial on 44,000 patients.

If approved, the market will have three COVID-19 vaccines.

The trial took place in the U.S., South Africa, and other countries. It resulted in “seven COVID-19 deaths among patients getting a placebo, and none among those who got a vaccine.”

From Axios:

Details: The shot was found to be 66.9% effective against moderate to severe COVID-19 cases 14 days after vaccination, and 66.1% effective after 28 days. Against severe to critical cases, the vaccine was 76.6% effective after 14 days and 85.4% effective after 28 days.

  • A large clinical trial showed no COVID-19 hospitalizations or deaths 28 days after patients received the vaccine.
  • “The analysis supported a favorable safety profile with no specific safety concerns identified that would preclude issuance of an EUA,” FDA staff wrote.

The advisory panel will meet on Friday to review the data. They will then vote whether to recommend the vaccine for emergency use. The notice could come this weekend.

Johnson & Johnson believes it could have around 20 million doses by the end of March. It projects it will deliver 100 million doses in the U.S. by the end of June and over a billion across the world.

Pfizer and Moderna, which have two-dose vaccines, hope to have enough to vaccinate 100 million people by the end of March. The companies want to vaccinate 300 million in the U.S. by the end of July.

America’s population is 382.2 million people.

With that data, Dr. Anthony Fauci and other government officials can finally stop keeping us hostage. There is no excuse to stay locked up and denied the simple pleasures of life.

Also, get your flu shot. Get your pneumonia shot if you qualify.

Somebody tell Joe Biden that there’s a vaccine now!

Population figure should read 328.2 million.

But … variants! Asteroids! White supremacists! We can’t be too safe. We’d better stay locked up until the Second Coming.

If it doesn’t use mRNA to create “immunity”, then it’s something I’d at least consider if I ever *had to* get vaccinated. Not that that will happen.

Why isn’t there a billion dollar push for therapeutics? (Medicines that could effectively and cheaply blunt the effects of the virus once acquired.) Oh yeah, that would end the crisis, and thus the huge profit streams of favored Pharma – and the reign of tinpot despots.

I maxed my vitamin D3, and took a generic multivitamin, nothing more. For me, COVID was very similar to my typical every-few-years respiratory infection, only longer, milder, and accompanied by fatigue and loss of taste. I had the luxury of napping whenever I felt fatigued. Within two weeks, that’s all she wrote. And I am practically in every risk class ever named.

What flu

It should be obvious to anybody with a functioning brain that this hasn’t been about the virus for months.

And if you think the government is just going to meekly remove the restrictions and walk away, you are delusional.

They’re not going to stop until Americans tell them to shut the fuck up and stop listening to them.

Take off the mask and stop pretending it does anything.

Haven’t gotten a flu shot in a very long time. Probably over 20 years. I always react badly to them so I gave them up. Haven’t had the flu either.
Yeah it may be a russian roulette thing, but so far so good.
I did turn down the offer from the health group to make an appointment for one of the two shot vaccinations. Told them I didn’t feel like being a guinea pig. The J&J vaccine I would take if it becomes available.

This vaccine apparently doesn’t alter DNA, which is far better than the other two, but I’ll stick with the DCQ cocktail if and when I need to treat a cold.

See, here’s the thing.

If you catch COVID, does that mean you won’t catch it again? They won’t say yes.
If you get the vaccine, does that mean you won’t catch COVID? They won’t say yes.
If you take the antibody test and test negative, does that mean you’ve never had COVID? They won’t say yes.
If it tests positive, does that mean you’ve had COVID? They won’t say yes.

They beat the drum that we have to “follow the science,” but apparently science on its best and brightest days can’t tell us jackschitt definite about this disease. You can’t follow something that always takes off in multiple, opposing directions.

And it’s the perfect beard for the government to blame no matter what they want to make you do any given week — go out, cower at home, go to work, close your workplace, open schools, close schoolsl, mostly peacefully arsonate an AutoZone, or put your feet on Pelosi’s desk.

Please. Another largely untested vaccine for a disease which is little more dangerous than the seasons flus? The US hit a horrific milestone, this week. 500,000 deaths attributed to COVID-19. However, by the CDC’s own reporting, only abut 6% of those deaths are directly attributable to COVID. A whopping 30,000 deaths in a year. People make the excuse that deaths from co-morbidities, which are triggered by the virus should also be counted. These co-mornidities seemingly include such things as falls, trauma from automobile accidents and even gunshot wounds.

Fear mongering at its most egregious.
