Fox News’ John Roberts falsely claims Trump has not denounced ‘white supremacists’ – melts down when called out

Even though his wife reported a definitive denunciation less than 24 hours prior

https://twitter.com/thebradfordfile/status/1311711447957864454?s=20

The list of people completely broken by Trump just gained an addition — Fox News’s John Roberts.

Despite the fact that Trump denounced white supremacy during the first presidential debate (and the media ran with the narrative that he refused to do so), John Roberts asked if Trump would denounce white supremacy during Thursday’s White House press briefing.

Watch:

But it gets better. Roberts’ wife is a reporter who covered the exact same story less than 24 hours before. Something White House Press Secretary later reminded him.

And then Roberts lost it. He’s mad that people on Twitter are calling him out for pushing what is clearly a false narrative. So embarrassing. His co-anchor is also a bit shell-shocked, which is just hilarious.

    It’s a great thing, actually.

It shows that they think they’re losing, and they’re getting desperate, and this crap is the BEST THEY HAVE.

His tax leak flopped – nobody gives a shit but the rabid anti-left.

The Supreme Court crap flopped – the Democrats are acting like petty little bitches throwing a tantrum. Almost nobody actually believes Ginsberg actually said the crap about her seat as her last words, and even if it were true nobody who matters gives a crap

The attacks on Barrett backfired horribly. She was so utterly beyond reproach they were reduced to calling her a racist for adopting black children – the backlash was so hilariously fast that it got shut down less than 2 days later.

The coronavirus crap has backfired. The Democrat faithful are the ONLY ONES that think we need further lockdowns, national mask mandates, and more insanity, and they aren’t voting for Trump anyway. EVERYBODY ELSE is done with this crap. Joe Biden promising to put a national mask mandate in place was the absolute stupidest thing he could possibly have said. NOBODY but Democrats thinks its necessary.

In short, every single thing they’ve tried over the last months has either helped Trump, or ONLY appealed to the Democrat fringe. The real polls are SAVAGE. Every single group outside committed leftist is pulling for Trump.

The fact that they’re reduced to this laughable crap shows their utter desperation.

They have literally nothing else. It’s Jello time – throw shit at the wall and hope something sticks.

And someone needs to ask Sundowner Joe if BLM is a organisation or a idea

Observer in reply to Skip. | October 1, 2020 at 7:46 pm

If you go to “antifa.com” on your computer, it will immediately take you to . . . a Joe Biden campaign donation site.

If you go to “BLM.com” you will see that all donations go to Act Blue, which is a Democrat fund-raising group.

Biden can’t denounce antifa and BLM without denouncing himself.

Antifa and BLM are the ones rioting and burning down buildings and assaulting people. There are not any “right wing” or “white supremacist” groups that have done that. This is all leftist violence. The Proud Boys is a group run by a hispanic man; they haven’t rioted or burned down any cities, and they are also not “white supremacists.” All this “white supremacist” garbage is just chum that the Dims are tossing to try and keep blacks from voting for Trump.

The left is responsible for all the violence, and Biden has never denounced the most violent leftist groups — antifa and BLM — because they are his supporters and fund-raisers.

bhwms in reply to Observer. | October 2, 2020 at 5:47 pm

The domain “antifa.com” was registered in 2002 using “Namecheap” as the registrar. It looks like it existed previous to that. It has been for sale (original price $14k) until at least Jan 30, 2020. Sometime between Jan 30 and June 2nd, the black background “Antifa Action” website came live. Sometime between July 24th and August 8th, the server was set to do an HTTP redirect to “joebiden.com.”

The owner of antifa.com is hidden by a domain privacy company. The IP address is owned by NameCheap Hosting and hosts 588 domains.

In fairness to the Biden campaign, anybody can register a domain and set it to point to anyone elses domain. So it is conceivable that a Republican grabbed it and pointed it there. It’s also possible that an Antifa leftist did it.

I don’t know about the BLM “idea” but the Antifa “idea” has been engaging in riots, looting, and shootings since at least the early 1990s. It’s time they passed a law prohibiting “ideas” from carrying guns.

When you work for a member of the Far Left Communist Media Complex as Fox News has become, you have to tow the Company line no matter its truth or the action is a token of compliance. Poor John works for the Murdochs and as such, has no ability for facts or truth. He now joins the other scumbags of Fox as a Partisan Journo Hack, e.g., Juan Williams, Chris Wallace, Donna Brazile, Harris “Fuckher”, Geraldo Rivera.

I cut the cable years ago so, only know what they do when they are moderators or guests, or subject elsewhere.

Somebody call 911. There’s been a murder.

I want to know if John Roberts denounces himself for failing to denounce those who denounced Trump for not denouncing white supremacists when he did in fact denounce white supremacy on several occasions.

WestRock in reply to UserP. | October 1, 2020 at 7:02 pm

In all fairness to John Boy, the President denounced White Supremacy yesterday and the day before and the day before that, but he DIDN’T denounce it at the exact time JR asked. I think the President needs to be continually monitored on a sub-second scale since he may flip, however briefly, at any moment.

This msm white supremacy tactic is like the “When did you stop beating your wife.” question. They need it to be true since biden supposedly founded his campaign on the Charlottesville lie. They’ve screamed racism so long and so loud that it has lost any real effectiveness.

Paul in reply to CKYoung. | October 1, 2020 at 5:23 pm

Going forward the standard response to this nonsense should be “I’m sorry sir, but your Race Card has been declined.” Next question.

OK, that was the proverbial straw for me! I’m going over to NewsMax. I can get it on my Roku! Buh bye, Fox, I’ve been with you from the very beginning.

Yeah, Fox News is going the way of Drudge.

Biden should be asked about his recent and past statements about blacks.

Biden should be asked if the idea of “white privilege,” by confirming that blacks are inferior, is white supremacy.

Beautiful! We’ve got another month of melt downs to look forward to from these people.

Both Fox and Hotair have turned an ugly corner.

Along with crap like this, you notice how they’ve changed their headlines to click bait? This isn’t news, it’s bullshit you expect from CNN and Yahoo (yes those two are in the same league at this point…). Also their stories are engineered not to inform, but to agitate. Conservatives don’t need another Huffpo.

There’s a reason all the informed people come to Legal Insurrection and Weasel Zippers… (I used to include Hot Air in that list, but they are declining in credibility too). The others have gone to trash for cash.

    “Conservatives don’t need another Huffpo.”

Well, Verizon is trying to sell HuffPo, but there’s no buyers yet. And Yahoo will probably be next…

The question to him should have been in standard democrat form:

“John, your wife said yesterday the exact opposite that you’re saying today. Who is the liar in the family, you or your wife and is this the only thing they have ever lied about or are there a tremendous amount of instances?”

Is this accusation serving as a Rorschach test for undisclosed criminal liability?

People online have been accusing Chief Justice John Roberts of flying on the Lolita Express. Of course, John Roberts is a common name……

Sorry to say that John Roberts has proven himself to be either a moron or a political hack.

In a period of two days, two high profile employees have totally embarrassed themselves on national television.
Wallace asked Trump a very similar race based question in a 2016 debate and got a very clear answer, why the need to bring the issue up and why didn’t Wallace follow up with a question about Biden’s “You Ain’t Black” statement.

Roberts had a complete meltdown today, blaming twitter users and had the entire afternoon to clean it up and failed to do so and just doubled down on it. Very unprofessional behavior for a senior reporter. Maybe he doesn’t speak with his wife about their work product.

‘Oh Johnny… you’re no daisy …you’re no daisy at all’

There’s a bit of ju-jitsu going on that I’m surprised not to have noticed anyone comment on: Chris Wallace phrased his question as about “white supremacists and right-wing militias”. People have commented on the other dishonesties in that question, but not on this one. If I were asked that question my first response would be “Wait a minute, which are you asking about, white supremacists or militias? If you want to ask about both, please do so separately.”

Because Trump has never made any bones about denouncing white supremacists. (Except that one time he was asked about David Duke and said he didn’t know who that was; he now says he didn’t hear the name and was winging it, which may well be true.) He’s never given any indication that white supremacists are on his side, or that he would like them on his side, nor have they shown any inclination to obey him, so he can’t ask them to stand down, up, aside, by, in, out, on, off, pat, or any other adverb.

Whereas he probably knows that there exist various right-wing militias, some of which probably support him, and might well take direction from him were he to give it. It’s also plausible that some of them are making things worse in Portland and other places by mixing it up with the commies and provoking them, and making it hard for the police to restore order.

So when Wallace put it to him that this is in fact happening, for all he knows it may be true; and when Wallace put it to him that he should ask such groups to stand down he may have thought this was a reasonable request. Since he has no idea who these groups might be, he asked for a name, and on being given this name “Proud Boys” it would be reasonable for him to assume this was such a group, and therefore to ask them to stand down and stand by for possible future need. What could be more reasonable than that?

Now I have no idea whether the Proud Boys are, or include within themselves, white supremacists. I know they’ve been accused of it, but that means nothing. I also know they deny it, but that may not mean much either. I don’t know enough to make a determination on my own, so I leave that question open. Nor do I expect Trump to have any idea who they are. So if they’re white supremacists then Trump was tricked into telling them to stand by; Wallace should have told him that explicitly, and the correct answer would then have been, “If what you’re telling me is true, then I condemn them unreservedly”. But if they’re not, then why should he condemn them, and why should he not ask them to stand ready for action should they be required in the future?

SeekingRationalThought in reply to Milhouse. | October 1, 2020 at 6:26 pm

I have no idea of the make-up of the Proud Boy’s either. On the other hand, considering who claims that they are “White Supremacists,” I think it far more likely that they are benign. In fact, I think it far more likely that they are saints. Which I’m sure they are not.

      Litmus test:

Proud Boys: “We are not white supremists. We love America and we’ll brawl with you if you don’t.”

      MSM: “They’re white supremists.”

ergo, they’re racist white supremists. Never mind the Florida bunch is half Cuban.

puhiawa in reply to Milhouse. | October 1, 2020 at 9:01 pm

I believe the national head of the Proud Boys is black as are a number of officers. Wallace is remarkably ignorant and did absolutely no prep. I suspect he relied on the Biden campaign for “topics”. It is a simple matter go ask both campaigns, then ignore one.

“It’s also plausible that some of them are making things worse in Portland and other places by mixing it up with the commies and provoking them, and making it hard for the police to restore order.”

    plau•si•ble
adj. Seemingly or apparently valid, likely, or acceptable; credible.

There is exactly zero plausibility to your statement. The violence is 100% antifa/blm. 100%.

Milhouse in reply to Barry. | October 1, 2020 at 11:20 pm

That the violence is coming from the commies doesn’t in any way negate what I wrote. It’s plausible that there are right-wing troublemakers making things worse by deliberately provoking them, and it would be helpful for them to stop. I don’t think that’s the case, but it could be.

DaveGinOly in reply to Barry. | October 1, 2020 at 11:29 pm

I agree with your criticism of Milhouse (as much as I appreciate him). The Left doesn’t need provocation to act out, they do quite enough of it all by themselves. Right-wing “agitators,” if such exist, have no need to expose themselves to potential arrest, or worse, discovery by the Leftists and being beaten nearly to death. Neither provocative action nor the risk to perform it are necessary. Therefore, if it exists at all, it is done by lone-wolf types and not at the direction of anyone who is thinking strategically. Because strategically it’s unnecessary and stupid, both of which argue against it.

Milhouse in reply to DaveGinOly. | October 2, 2020 at 2:37 am

Right-wing “agitators,” if such exist, have no need to expose themselves to potential arrest, or worse, discovery by the Leftists and being beaten nearly to death.

What do you mean by “discovery”? It’s not as if they’d be hiding. And the risk of arrest isn’t much, since the police are doing nothing. I think we’re having a basic miscommunication here.

There’s a similar dishonesty whenever anyone on the left mentions Charlottesville — they conflate two distinct events, in order to make a dishonest point. The famous event was the “Unite the Right” rally and counter-rally which ended up in a brawl between two rival gangs of fascists and the death of one woman who was attending the counter-rally. And there was a small march the previous evening at which a few dozen neo-nazis made a spectacle of themselves with torches.

Trump correctly said that at the rally that turned into a brawl, each side had some fine people as well as some thugs. This is just the plain truth. As far as I know he has never said one word about the previous evening’s march. Nor has he even been asked to, since the left are busy pretending that they’re the same event. I’m not even sure whether he realizes it’s a con. But that’s what it is. There were no fine people at the march; there were plenty, on both sides, at the competing rallies.

John Roberts is tired of it? I may have to join Twitter so I can help pile on. If he’s tired of being called out for lying that’s an easy fix. Stop lying.

John, don’t want to get triggered for being accused of pushing a false narrative? Too easy. Don’t push a false narrative. It works every time.

maybe it was the lighting but Robert’s face looked quite red in the briefing room and a more normal tone when he was outside

Roberts is pictured with the Soros puppet I believe. This was an attempt at a set up for a big anti Trump slam.

Good bye John!!

Wow! In addition to there being a Shep Wallace, now we also have a Shep Roberts.

facebookisfacist | October 2, 2020 at 10:57 am

He is trash. The sooner we begin treating people like him and his trash whore wife like trash the better. They believe they can slim you, your family, kids and neighbors without retribution. I believe it is time we begin to throw it back at them twice as hard. Give them a dose of their own medicine.

There is an irony here. “White supremacists”, etc. are citizens of the United States and are protected by the First Amendment. As long as they’re not breaking laws, the president – or any other politician – has no right to “condemn” them. They do not advocate the overthrow of the government as Antifa does – look at their web sites. BLM is organizing “protests” that turn into riots. The First Amendment was adopted by the first US Congress BECAUSE there are differences of opinion and “the people” shall not use the Federal government to stifle those they do not agree with.

What the hell is wrong with John Roberts? The video/audio of PDT’s post-Charlottesville presser is CLEAR — essentially that there are good people on both sides of the (statue-removal) issue, and that he was NOT including on the right the KKK, neo-Nazis, other extreme, right-wing activists, etc, all in one sentence, so not in separate segments.

The TDS pitch has now reached psychotic dimensions. Trump misspoke, he meant to stay “down,” not “by”; the inference is easily reached when viewing the transcript. POTUS should simply say so. That he hasn’t yet, in my view, doesn’t reasonably justify JR’s gratuitous assault on his character.

So in this case, see ya, John. I might someday, once again, respect and admire your work. But, right now, you’re all stressed out and well over the edge. Take a sick leave and get some serious, professional help. You’re delusional, guy. Your patent anger is a sure symptom you’re ailing, and a sign to the wise.

John Roberts name WAS on Epstein flight log as a passenger. Epstein had his connections everywhere.
If you believe it’s just a common name and MAYBE it wasn’t him…I have lake front property to sell you in Rainbow City.
