Trump Again Demands Biden Take a Drug Test Before Debate
Trump said he “is not joking” and would also take a drug test.

Trump doubled down on the demand during a press conference on Sunday:
“I’m not joking. I’m willing to take a drug test, I think she [sic] should to,” Trump said during a Sunday evening news briefing at the White House.
Trump then argued that Biden’s performances in the Democratic Party’s primary debates were inconsistent, which raised questions about whether he is taking something to help his focus.
“I watched him with some of the — when he was debating ‘Pocahontas’ [Sen. Elizabeth Warren] and [Sen. Kamala] Harris, who treated him so badly, but I watched him and he was out of it. And then I watched him against Bernie Sanders and he was OK. He wasn’t great, but he wasn’t terrible,” Trump said.
“If you look at some of those debates, I said there’s no way he can continue. He can’t continue. Then all of a sudden he debated ‘crazy’ Bernie Sanders, and you know what? The truth is he was OK. And I said, how did he go from there, those horrible performances, to where he was OK? I always joke, but it is true: He was no Winston Churchill in debating, but he was fine. And people say he was on performance-enhancing drugs.”
When pressed on his claim, Trump said, “A lot of people have said that, a lot of people have written that. Take a look — you can just check out the internet, you’ll see plenty of people say it. Whether he is or not, doesn’t matter. But I would love to take a test, and he can take a test, too.”
Trump brought up drug tests in an interview with Byron York of The Washington Examiner in August:
“Nobody thought that he was even going to win,” Trump said. “Because his debate performances were so bad. Frankly, his best performance was against Bernie. We’re going to call for a drug test, by the way, because his best performance was against Bernie. It wasn’t that he was Winston Churchill because he wasn’t, but it was a normal, boring debate. You know, nothing amazing happened. And we are going to call for a drug test because there’s no way — you can’t do that.”
York asked Trump what he thought was going on with Biden. Trump said he does not know. But he does not think it’s a coincidence that Biden all of a sudden became better when he went up against Sanders:
Trump based his call entirely on his own observations and not on any actual knowledge of Biden’s actions. “All I can tell you is that I’m pretty good at this stuff,” he said. “I look. I watched him in the debates with all of the different people. He was close to incompetent, if not incompetent, and against Bernie, he was normal … and I say, ‘How does that happen?'”
Trump again suggested drug tests on Fox News on September 12:
“I think there’s probably – possibly – drugs involved,” Trump told Jeanine Pirro. “That’s what I hear. I mean, there’s possibly drugs. I don’t know how you can go from being so bad where you can’t even get out a sentence … ”
Trump did not finish his own sentence, but he went on to say he was referring to the Democratic presidential nominee’s hesitant performances in early primary debates, before his surge to victory on the back of a win in South Carolina.
“You saw some of those debates with the large number of people on the stage,” Trump said. “He was, I mean, I used to say, ‘How is it possible that he can go forward?”
Last week, Trump said both men should take drug tests before the debate.
Trump explained that no one should “underestimate” Biden since “he’s been doing this for 47 years.”
Trump also said that the Democrats will “give him a big fat shot in the ass and he comes out, and for two hours he’s better than ever before.”

This isn’t helping Trump’s cause, it just makes him appear to be a conspiracy nut. Is there a chance that Joe is getting a boost before the debate, of course but asking for live drug testing is ridiculous. Just go out and win the debate. Do something to make Joe angry… it shouldn’t be hard. We saw how easily he became angry when challenged over the past year so find a few key points to get him there and let the American people see what the Dems and the press are hiding.
Expectations for Biden are so low that a competent showing would be counted as a win.
It’s not a conspiracy theory. It’s a fact that Joe is medicated.
What Trump should be demanding is that both candidates be checked for earpieces. No outside help on difficult (for that candidate) questions!

Radio spectrum will be monitored. Not sure if the routine protection will interfere with whatever frequency joe will try to use, but it won’t matter. PDJT is astute enough to know if there’s a voice in Joe’s ear. Making joe divide his attention won’t be hard and will likely have disastrous effects for biden. biden is easily frustrated. Couple that with his history of defensiveness and lashing out when challenged and we’re likely to see a full blown get off my main senior moment. My money is joe is a no show.

amwick, there is speculation biden has an implant. Personally not sure. An earpiece or implant will be disruptive in a debate. So far, joe has primarily faced friendly, even helpful press/media/interview partners. Anyone who has challenged him has been asked to go out for a fight, to a pushup contest or been called a dog faced lying pony soldier. Adding PDJT into the mix will throw biden off his script, off his message, off everything. criss wallace, as much as he’ll try, will be helpless to stop it. I expect a figurative blood bath.
Trump is using an Information Operation to help prepare the battlefield. His points:
1. Sleepy Biden is avoiding questioning
2. When Biden ventures into friendly interviews he still makes bizarre statements
3. Biden will look better than expected at debate; he has been in politics/public life for nearly 50 years, multiple campaign including previous presidential runs
4. Biden is possibly taking some sort of drug that increases his cognition, prove me wrong via drug test
Trump is trying to get in Biden’s head. Expect Biden to make a good response to one question or Trump statement at the debate. Trump then casually says something like:
‘Joe, you took your medicine tonight and it’s really working well, how about you tell us what that drug is’.
True, but the real motion here is to frame Biden’s behavior in the minds of Dem voters. Most Dems have seen video of him slurring his words, making major gaffes, and various indications of mental impairment, but they’re been brushing the clips off as just Joe being Joe. Now here comes Trump with an accusation of Biden drug use, and the same Dems will scoff ridicule at the concept to their friends…
…until the debate. At that point, any gaffe or slurred words will raise that element of doubt again in their minds, and if Joe comes out all perky like a prizefighter ready for a ten-round fight, they’ll wonder just how much Adderall he got dosed with before. As a bonus, Joe’s going to wind up doing *both* of those behaviors during the long debate, so even more doubt about his abilities will crop up.

Biden’s is soft-focus and rosy with a dark background including a hint of American flag. Trump’s is harsh yellow with a gravely texture, squinty eyes and an open mouth with a washed out background and hair.
Once upon a time, the media was subtle with these things — like when Time Magazine darkened OJ’s skin for their cover, or the woman who slipped an awful under-lit portrait of McCain into a routine photoshoot.
The MSM has been doing that crime since at least the Nixon-Kennedy Debate.
I doubt the debate will be anything more than a fizzer.
Biden wont be a car crash (far too many people working to get him to be able to stand up) and people on the right will be crying because Trump wasnt rude enough to him in his exchanges.

One thought I heard recently pointed out that people with dementia often have “bright mornings,” where they are very lucid. Perhaps the reason Biden has been so absent recently, and “putting a lid” on his days by 9:30 AM, is because his team is trying to shift Biden’s sleep schedule so that he sleeps during the day, and thus the debate will happen during Joe’s “morning,” when he is more lucid.
Yes, I think you’re right. They’ve been trying to change his days and nights around. However, my husband died of this disease. “Lucid” only means you know your way to the bathroom, and there aren’t any nasty people in there yelling at you. It doesn’t mean you’re smart or can hold your own against a determined adversary.
