Pelosi: My Hair Salon Violation Was A Set Up, I Was Tricked!

Salon Owner denies Pelosi’s accusation

This woman is something else.

Tuesday, Fox News published an exclusive showing Speaker Nancy Pelosi getting a blow out at a salon in San Francisco that was shuttered because of the coronavirus. Pelosi was also seen unmasked while the stylist wore a black face mask.

Pelosi’s staff refused to comment after the story broke but has since decided that they’re going with the “we were tricked!” trope.

Watch:

From USA Today:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi claimed she fell for a “setup” by a San Francisco salon where she went for a hair appointment on Monday even though local guidelines did not allow salons to operate amid the pandemic.

“It was a setup, and I take responsibility for falling for a setup,” Pelosi, D-Calif., said on Wednesday.

“I think that this salon owes me an apology for setting me up,” she said.

Fox News published security camera footage on Tuesday of Pelosi inside the salon, along with an interview from Erica Kious, the owner of eSalon in San Francisco where Pelosi went, slamming Pelosi for getting her hair done when others could not.

San Francisco’s coronavirus restrictions on salons and other similar businesses was amended on Tuesday, allowing for hair appointments to be conducted outdoors only, with one customer at a time who must wear a mask (ear loops rather than ties are recommended so as not to interfere with hair services). Salons were still closed on Monday.

Pelosi’s spokesperson Drew Hammill said in a statement on Tuesday that Pelosi made the appointment because she was told by the salon that it could accommodate her within the city’s guidelines.

Pelosi can be seen in the short video walking through part of the salon with what appears to be her face mask around her neck, rather than covering her face, with wet hair. Her spokesperson said on Tuesday that she had her mask off only for a short time while her hair was washed, and Pelosi said Wednesday that she “always” has a mask.

The rules do not apply to our Elected overlords, not for quite some time now. They are slowly dropping all pretenses, and we are expected to be grateful for the increase in our chocolate ration.

In the case of Pelosi, I think it is our ice cream ration.

Unfortunately, the salon owner says that she is getting death threats, fake negative reviews, etc and thinks she is “done” in San Francisco.

I’m sure those are all from DEMOCRATS.

Pelosi is a gangster no less than any street dirtbag.

The salon owner was likely done in SF anyway. Business can’t reopen yet they have to pay taxes, rent and so on. There’s no timetable for reopening. And just around the corner you have the ANTIFA thugs waiting to burn your business down.

She should consider opening a salon in Dallas, or Knoxville, or Roanoke, or Fort Myers. She’ll be able to make money and she’ll live a lot happier.

Arminius in reply to stevewhitemd. | September 5, 2020 at 2:20 am

Kali is so screwed up it would be unbelievable, but it’s been completely screwed up for over 30 years so nothing is unbelievable anymore.

During an entirely avoidable and entirely discretionary budget crisis the state government demanded that government contractors accept IOUs as payment and threatened dire consequences if contractors didn’t deliver goods and services per the terms of their contracts (note the government didn’t have to meet the terms of the contracts when it came to payment, and they could have met the terms if they hadn’t simply spent the money on their insane leftist priorities; liberal privilege truly exists as we see with this story).

Then the state turned around and demanded that contractors pay their taxes in actual money. Money they didn’t have since the state had reneged on their contractual obligation to pay their bills in actual money.

Typical Kali politics. Twice Kali pols put a referendum on the ballot authorizing a bond to (according to the advertising blitz the bond proponents conducted) to replace old, incompatible radios with compatible radio equipment fire departments, police departments, and other first responders could use to actually talk to each other during major emergencies such as wildfires.

Then they used the money on other things such as LGBT teen centers as the bond referendum was written so broadly that “public safety measures” covered spending for things nobody except leftist pols and activists would associate with “public safety.” A few years later there was another major fire in Malibu, another referendum to issue bonds to buy new radio equipment so responding agencies could communicate with each other, and again the pols spent the money on their pet causes. Why would they spend the money on things the public cared about when never, ever spending money on actual public safety was like being able to write blank checks.

Yep, classic entrapment.

from wiki,
Entrapment is a practice whereby a law enforcement agent or agent of the state [here, the hair stylist who’s also a dual licensed FBI®/KGB® agent] induces a person to commit a “crime” that the person would have otherwise been unlikely or unwilling to commit.[1] It “is the conception and planning of an offense by an officer or agent, and the procurement of its commission by one who would not have perpetrated it except for the trickery, persuasion or fraud of the officer or state agent.”

Ironclaw in reply to pfg. | September 3, 2020 at 6:27 am

Fail, they couldn’t have entrapped her because she called them, not the other way around. Either way, she’s been shown to be a massive hypocrite.

#Pelosi had been trending on Twitter most of the day. And just like that, hair stylists and salon owners across the country become Republican.

Absurd. The government – the House of Representatives especially – are the law-makers. Ordinary citizens follow the laws made by gov’t. So a chief among law-makers claims not to have known the law, a resident of CA who just like everyone else is subject to the laws and dictates coming out of the Governor’s office, blames a citizen for not following the law?

What did the stylist say to dupe you, Nancy? “Madame Speaker, you are exempt from the provisions you and Gov. Newsome have imposed on us commoners.”

What a piece of work she is.

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to MrE. | September 3, 2020 at 7:25 am

Ignorance of the law is no excuse, except for The Annointed. Mrs. Pelosi is exempt and she knows it. Not the out-of-stater who throws a Frisbee on a California beach and is hauled off to jail. Not the one who has a “wrong” size GPS in the “wrong” place in their car who gets written up for stiff fine in California.

Set up- as if San Fran Nan didn’t know the Corona regulations for San Francisco.

No, I think she was making herself up pretty to pick up her next multi-million-dollar bribe from the Communist Chinese.

      Note next bribe!

Where is the chair with the stirrups? The hair stylist maneuver is just a cover for her visit to a gynochiatrist… or perhaps periodic service with a vegan who has been likened unto bull.

She had to go to a new gyno. The old one wuz tired of the furnace kicking on every time Bela Pelosi put her feet in the stirrups!

Hair salon. Right.

Probably Chinese spies. Feinstein could give her pointers on hiring good ones.

Salon: Psss. nancy, we miss you. Miss giving you your blow-outs.
nan: You better stop! I’ll report you to gavin!
Salon: We got ice cream! Chok-lit ice cream.
nan: Go on…
Salon: And vodka… Grey Goose…
nan: (((sound of tires peeling out)))

she probably tips 5% as well

Who leaked the video? Something like this doesn’t happen by accident.

Yup. Download from security camera / NAS to PC, convert to AVI/MP4 and upload – that’s the drill from my security system anyway. Appreciate whomever uploaded the video.

technerd in reply to MrE. | September 2, 2020 at 11:01 pm

IMO…this is a political hit job by the SQUAD or done on their behalf. The progressives want to take over the party. Pelosi is in their way and needs to be damaged politically in order to be pushed aside. They give the video to Fox News, not a traditional outlet for progressives. This gives them cover to either publicly denounce the release of the video or let Pelosi twist in the wind generated by the obvious public outrage. The owner of the salon is just collateral damage in this power play. Pelosi is running against a progressive in her district. This isn’t enough to throw her seat to him, but it will make it closer that it should be. It will be enough to cause the political damage that was intended. Pelosi can’t say anything about it publicly, but probably knows who was behind it. Her only play was to blame the owner of the salon. Taking responsibility for her own actions was never an option.

      Well played by the SQUAD.

Olinser in reply to technerd. | September 2, 2020 at 10:56 pm

The salon owner did. Apparently this is one of those ‘contract’ places where the owner rents chairs to ‘contractors’ who then cut the hair.

The owner found out about this and released the video.

It really, truly showcases how ludicrously in-your-face Democrats are that the rules don’t apply to them.

Pelosi could easily have had any number of people come to her house and cut her hair. Nope, she DESERVES to be treated at a salon, even though they’ve been ordered shut for 4 months (and thats the big indicator that this DEFINITELY WAS NOT the first time she did this).

Nothing to see her, just Nancy Antoinette telling the peasants to eat cake.

As I’ve said over and over and over again. Are the Democrats in power ACTING like they personally have any fear of the virus that they claim is the Black Plague?

Anacleto Mitraglia in reply to Olinser. | September 3, 2020 at 3:07 am

I’ve made an almost identical comment on Breitbart: she could have esasily payd 50 extra bucks to have the hairdresser come to her house with all the rig needed, and avoid the all too foreseeable mess. But her request of an apology from the parlor is really appalling.
I hope from now on, when the House reopens, every Rep (= every Representative, not every Republican) will start his/her speech with something like: “Nice hair, Ms. Speaker”.

80 years old, roughly worth around a hundred million+ dollars and still sticking around because…. why?
Maybe we need to advertise the over a hundred million dollars to antifa a lot more, maybe they’ll mostly peacefully protest her.

I have heard from someone in the know that she recieved a text message from a Nigerian prince that there was a package for her from April that was erroneously delivered to the salon.

I don’t know if it’s worse that her staff came up with this lame-ass story or that they think we’re stupid enough to buy that lame-ass story at face value. We’re supposed to believe she doesn’t expect the rules to bend for her? Is her nephew, Gavin Newsome, going to sic California’s regulatory agencies on this business woman like other Democrat governors have done?

We are not meant to believe it. This is the People’s Democratic Republic of California we are talking about. To quote Theodore Dalrymple:

“Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.”

Nan was hard at work napping in her office in the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington DC. The next thing she knew, she woke up in the hair salon in SF, wearing a — what do we call those robes they use? Almost looks like a judicial robe! — with her hair all wet.

She was kidnapped! And transported to SF and subjected to an involuntary hair treatment! It is not her fault. Someone call the FBI!! Kidnapping and interstate transport.

The William Jefferson Clinton/Marion Berry/Ralph Northam defense: I did nothing wrong and HOW DARE YOU CRITICIZE ME!!!!!!

Pelosi is so full of sh-t, it overflows out of her mouth.

Her demise is a going to be party day.

Betcha ten bucks Trump won’t give her a copy of his State of the Union speech next year.

Democrat Leadership Defined: Must be able to maintain a minimum of two completely contradictory opinions at once, and get praise from the media for stating them all during the same interview
– I take full responsibility
– I didn’t know it was wrong
– It was all the fault of dark forces who are out to destroy me

Bonus points for being able to encourage supporters to destroy anybody who speaks out against them without actually saying anything. The salon owner is getting crushed by fanatic Pelosi minions right now. It would not shock me to see a firebombing this week, or a visit by the state regulatory agency to shut the whole place down while the other salons start to open.

“I think that this salon owes me an apology for setting me up,” she said.”

I think the next beautician who works on you is should give you a Nair shampoo.

Pelosi is a corrupt, scummy fraud. She is projecting again.

Most gangsters meet their ends in barber shops by bullets. Pelosi met her end by hairdryer.

Anyone who still supports her is either on the democrat/government/union payroll, or they are hopelessly narcissistic.

How sad. San Francisco voters fear Pelosi more than just voting her out. It’s not like they can’t find another liberal in San Francisco.

Then again, it’s ALWAYS about the money and Nancy has been delivering truckloads of US Cash Dollars to San Francisco democrats for decades.

My hunch, US cash money will keep winning San Francisco elections indefinitely.

The Friendly Grizzly | September 3, 2020 at 7:18 am

As Marion Berry (Barry) said, “The [hairdresser] set me up!”

I wonder what AOC is making of this. Now is her chance.

Yes, she was also tricked into NOT wearing her Wuhan Virus Mask, either. I would have NO RESERVATION in kicking the trap door out from under her for the crimes she has ALREADY committed…of course, after a guilty verdict in a short but fair trial with a jury of her peers.

Oh, what’s that you say, Nancy, you’re elite and have no peers?

Yes, that explains a lot, doesn’t it.

I found myself wondering this morning if there is a city ordinance or state regulation in San Fran insisting one must wear an approved virus mask when defecating in the street?

“…she had her mask off only for a short time while her hair was washed,…”

The mask was only a minor issue in this. ALL salons are closed! Was there a “Don’t you know who I am?” involved in persuading the salon to make an exception for her? Also, she is the one who called in. How was she set up?

No, all salons were NOT closed. Salons in SF were OPEN and operating — outdoors. The only problem here was that it’s illegal to do hair coloring outdoors, so they can’t legally provide that service. There’s no reason she should have known this. The hairdresser knew, and should have told her.

DaveGinOly in reply to Milhouse. | September 3, 2020 at 12:49 pm

Unh, no. If that’s the case, then when the hairstylist proposed doing the styling indoors, Nancy should have questioned it. She’s a legislator and therefore in a position in which she has (or should have) knowledge of the law and an interest in following it/seeing that it’s followed. She should have refused to have the styling done indoors. But do you seriously believe that Pelosi would want her styling done outdoors, where the plebs could see? That if told about the rules that she would have insisted on following them? Such behavior would not be consistent with her status as a wealthy, white female holding one of the highest political positions in the land, and certainly not consistent with her well-demonstrated attitude of superiority.

Milhouse in reply to DaveGinOly. | September 3, 2020 at 4:36 pm

She is not a San Francisco or California legislator, she has nothing to do with making state or local law, and is no more likely to know it than anyone else.

hrhdhd in reply to Milhouse. | September 3, 2020 at 5:42 pm

Please. Any woman anywhere knows the status of salon openings/half-openings.

Now the stylist’s lawyer is writing letters.

My take is the owner did deliberately plan to make an example of Pelosi. That’s not entrapment or a set up. That’s simply planning to expose someone who is known to be be violating the law.

Keeping the shop open is civil disobedience. Exposing corrupt officials is applying sunshine.

amatuerwrangler in reply to Petrushka. | September 3, 2020 at 12:31 pm

Partially correct. I think that the owner did expose Pelosi, but decided to do so after the fact. She realized that the stylist who brought Nan in had violated the city and state ordinances and that she (owner) was the one exposed for official sanction. She felt she had to get out front on this, because it would eventually leak out.

It makes no sense that the salon owner would “set up” Pelosi, a very valuable client. Pelosi most likely pays top dollar and tips (regardless of whose money it really is) generously. People of wealth often do that just to flaunt their wealth. Pelosi is a revenue center for her, why would she want to kill it.

The set-up story makes no sense and it will be laughable when Pelosi has to find a way to walk it back.

It didn’t help.

When they let the mask down we see the real them. That’s great news for us.

I’m in Pasadena, So Cal. I got my hair done yesterday, ‘according to the rules.’ I had to wash my hands (since I refused hand sanitizer); I wore a mask the entire time, even while my hair was being washed; I got a blow dry but I was the only client in the salon. Last time I had been sent home with wet hair (thank you ..) bc there were others in the salon and so it was forbidden.

When I mentioned Nancy’s Queenly Pout, thinking my stylist would also find it egregious, she countered -“It is best if we don’t talk politics.” She also said the hardest thing about this lockdown – which has been quite severe here in LA County and must have caused her severe economic damage – the hardest thing was ‘being patient.’ Talk about COMPLIANT. I would be furious.

gonzotx in reply to bboop. | September 3, 2020 at 2:28 pm

Dump the hairdresser and tell her why.

I wouldn’t want anyone like that working with scissors around my head.

Don’t support left winged idiots, we all lose if you do

“Set up” is the wrong term, and she’s coming out of this looking like the jerk she is, but I understand what she’s saying. She wasn’t “set up”, but she did fall into this through no real fault of her own. She says the hairdresser told her it was all legal and she had no idea it wasn’t, and that’s probably true.

The issue here was two completely unrelated regulations coming together to make it impossible to offer one specific service — hair coloring. Hairdressers are allowed to operate in SF only outdoors, but it’s illegal to do hair coloring outdoors, because of the fumes.

Since this isn’t a Wuhan regulation the hairdresser probably didn’t think of it when talking to Pelosi’s secretary; she probably told the secretary that she is open for business, and forgot to mention that she can’t do coloring. Then when Pelosi showed up and wanted it, she probably just decided to move indoors and who would know, without telling Pelosi that this was illegal.

So I can see how Pelosi feels “set up”, but she was set up by circumstances, not by the hairdresser or the salon owner. Blaming them and implying that this was all a conspiracy to damage her politically just makes her look bad. Which I don’t mind, because she is bad, even if not on this specific occasion.

DaveGinOly in reply to Milhouse. | September 3, 2020 at 12:57 pm

I can understand that Pelosi may not have known outdoor hair coloring was verboten. (Because of the fumes? That would argue in favor of coloring outdoors – a well-ventilated space.) But she should have known that indoor styling of any kind isn’t permitted (or, conversely, that only outdoor service is permitted). When she showed up for styling not permitted outdoors, and was invited indoors, she should have refused the indoor service (even if she was unaware of the “no coloring outdoors” rule). More likely she was flattered that she was being offered such service, an exception for her due to her status. Nancy is not the type of person to turn down such an offer.

Milhouse in reply to DaveGinOly. | September 3, 2020 at 4:38 pm

Why should she have known that indoor styling isn’t permitted? How is she in a better position than anyone else to know the current regulations?

The Friendly Grizzly in reply to Milhouse. | September 3, 2020 at 5:33 pm

,Ignorance of the law is no excuse” aoplies to Our Betters as much as it applies to the peasantry.

It may not be a legal excuse, but it’s a fact. And if she was assured it was legal by someone in the business, who ought therefore to know, and she relied on that person’s advice, then she’s entitled to feel like she was “set up”. But that’s still the wrong term to use, because it wasn’t deliberate.

hrhdhd in reply to Milhouse. | September 3, 2020 at 5:44 pm

Since March, women have been talking about haircuts, getting them on the down-low in stylists’ garages, watching to see when their salons open. Really. It’s a thing.

Petrushka in reply to Milhouse. | September 3, 2020 at 2:16 pm

Your interpretation places all the blame on the stylist for offering an illegal service, and Pelosi for accepting it.

The political problem faced by Pelosi is hypocrisy, and she can’t wiggle out of that.

Aw, she dindoo nuffin, she-uz jist funnin’ and them filthy peons got no sense-a humor.

Pelosi would not be having this problem if she had worn a mask. Note bboop’s comment at 10:45 a.m. Even if she had engaged in unauthorized indoor hair coloring, she would have the out that, “Hey, I was sufficiently concerned for other’s safety that I wore a mask.” (Note: I am not getting into an argument over the efficacy of wearing a mask. It’s the appearance of caring that I’m discussing.)

More likely that the salon owner is going out of business and sees Pelosi as part of the problem – so she took her shot, or maybe she just got mad when Pelosi decided she is above wearing a mask when everybody else has to – a class apart.

Is there any truth to the rumors that Pelosi took a jet to keep this appointment, at taxpayer’s expense? Now if that were true, then the next round of news is going to be very entertaining.
