Arab Accords: Bahrain Foils Iranian-Backed Terrorist Attacks

IRGC-linked terrorists planned to target diplomats and foreign nationals on Bahrain’s soil

Less than a week after the signing of the Israel-Arab peace accords, the Arab Gulf country of Bahrain has reported a foiled Iranian terrorist plot against diplomats and foreign nationals on its soil.

Several suspects have been rounded up for planning a terrorist attack backed by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) — Iranian regime’s military and foreign terrorist arm, Reuters reported citing Bahrain’s Interior Ministry.

The news of the foiled terrorist attack comes amid a series of Iranian threats against Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for endorsing President Donald Trump-brokered peace agreements with Israel. Bahrain, along with the UAE, signed the Abraham Accords at the White House on September 15, establishing diplomatic and commercial relations with the State of Israel.

The “ruler of Bahrain should await the harsh revenge of the Mujahideen [jihad fighters] aiming to liberate Quds [Jerusalem] and the proud Muslim nation of this country,” Iran’s IRGC, a U.S. designated terrorist group, said in a statement just days ahead of the White House signing ceremony.

Besides foreign diplomats and civilians, the Iranian terrorists might also have had Bahrain-based U.S. servicemen in their crosshairs, news reports suggest. Bahrain is home to the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet.

German public broadcaster Deutsche Welle reported the foiled Iranian terror attack:

Several militants have been arrested and homes raided in Bahrain as security forces foiled what local media claimed was an Iranian-backed terrorist plot.

The reports did not say when the attack was meant to have taken place, but said a case was being prepared against 18 accused, of which nine are now in Iran.

The Bahrain government and state TV have yet to confirm the arrests, but Saudi TV showed footage of what appeared to be police raiding a property with a hidden passage as well as images of assault rifles and explosives apparently seized in the raid.

A Saudi state TV reporter said the attacks were to be revenge strikes for the US killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani this January in a drone strike in Baghdad.

Iranian state media also acknowledged the reports of the Bahraini arrests, but no official commented on them.

Since President Trump announced the peace agreements between Israel and the UAE last month, Iran and Palestinian terrorist groups have been carrying out a campaign of terror, threats, and intimidation. After Palestinian protesters rioted in the streets, burning the posters of Arab leaders, President Trump, and Primer Minister Netanyahu, Gaza-based terrorist groups fired rockets at Israeli civilians.

Palestinian leaders accused the Arab countries of helping President Trump in his re-election bid by backing the peace accords.

Taking the “path of normalization” with Israel made these two Arab Gulf countries “complicit” with  President Trump’s “Deal of the Century which is an aggression on our people,” Islamic terrorist group Hamas claimed.

While many Arab countries, including Egypt and Oman, welcomed the accords, Iran and Turkey joined Palestinian leaders in denouncing the move towards regional peace. Iran has been more open in its threats. They threatened terrorist attacks on the Arab States intending to normalize diplomatic relations with Israel.

Last month, Iranian state media declared the UAE a “legitimate and easy target” for endorsing the Trump-sponsored peace agreement. Pointing to the UAE and Bahrain, Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani warned that they would bear the “consequences” of this move.

“How could you reach out your hands to Israel?” he lamented. “All the severe consequences that would arise from this are on you.”

Why will so many Jewish people be voting for Biden?

You have to distinguish between Orthodox Judaism and the Reformed movement, more prevalent in America. The Orthodox are faithful, and can speak Hebrew. The Reformed are apostate, and speak Social Justice.

AFAIK ultra orthodox are minority in Israel they’re weird, they crucified Jesus Christ! It took them a while to form ultra orthodox battalion (no women). I’d think it’s against ultra orthodox religion to fight the enemies. Here at Hancock Park, Los Angeles, ultra orthodox people claim they’re the oldest religion. If ever I’d drive around Hancock Park (not main roads), I often see some ultra orthodox old guys walking in the middle of traffic lane I’d blow my horn they’d get angry, “you drive around.” Sometimes elderly male in wheelchair being pushed by caregiver. I was at Negev training alongside with elite IDFs, a colonel said, hey buddy, you wanna some yummies? It was roasted pork, “I thought you guys don’t it pig?” Colonel said, nope, we’re not ultra orthodox, this is like small cow!

Beats the heck out of me.

If they do, it’ll be for the same reason American Catholics have ever voted for pro-abortion Democrats, or blacks for the party that once fought a war to keep them slaves, and then fought to keep them from enjoying their freedom: cognitive dissonance.

Progressive Jews. Progressive Christians… Liberal. Monotonic and divergent. #PrinciplesMattter

There’ll be plenty of Christians of all denominations voting for Biden, too. I could ask the same question that you did, re-directed. This tottering dotard-marionette is drawing support from all quarters and all faiths. Sure, American Jews have traditionally leaned Dhimmi-crat; it’s frustrating to me, as a Jew. Especially given the blatant Jew-hate that’s present in the contemporary Dhimmi-crat Party.

But, I don’t think it’s fair to single out Jews, exclusively, for criticism, as though they’re the only ones propping up Biden. Our numbers are still pretty damn small, population-wise, in this country.

The Dems don’t care about the Jewish votes which don’t really matter much outside of Florida. They do care about Jewish fundraising.

Because they remain convinced, despite all evidence, that Republicans and serious Christians are antisemites. And, bizarrely, that Trump is an antisemite.

Jews don’t vote in their best interests. They should be thrilled with the latest peace treaty between Israel and the UAE and Bahrain. The Republican Jewish Coalition is gaining more and more members. More Jews are willing to “walk away” from the Democrats. It’s irrational to vote for Democrats in 2020!!

The region is pretty sick of Iran.

Be real. Israel is the mansion built in the middle of a bat shit crazy trailer park.

Can we now have a joint operation to start Iran on a path towards stone age life?

Remember, Jews are not a religion. We’re a nation that has a religion, but most Jews don’t believe in it. It has laws, but most Jews don’t obey them. Jews who disobey their nation’s laws or believe in its religion are still Jews, just as Americans who disobey US law and don’t believe in the principles on which it was founded are still citizens.

Many Jews follow other religions; in the old days it was Baal, now it’s Buddhism, Social Justice, or a weird protestant-like religion, almost indistinguishable from Unitarian Universalism, that calls itself “Reform Judaism”. They’re still Jews. Cardinal Lustiger was a Jew, and so was Cardinal O’Connor, though he didn’t even know it.

And it’s mostly those Jews who vote Democrat.
