Ilhan Omar Urges ‘Dismantling the Whole System of Oppression,’ Including the Economy

“We are fighting to tear down systems of oppression that exist in housing, in education, in health care, in employment, [and] in the air we breathe.”

Why did Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) move to America if it’s so oppressive and racist?

Omar delivered a speech with the Minnesota People of Color and Indigenous Caucus in her home state. The press conference “was to address ‘racism in policing’ in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death.”

From Fox News:

“We can’t stop at criminal justice reform or policing reform,” she said during an outdoor press conference. “We are not merely fighting to tear down the systems of oppression in the criminal justice system. We are fighting to tear down systems of oppression that exist in housing, in education, in health care, in employment, [and] in the air we breathe.”

Omar said it was time to “guarantee homes for all” due to racial disparities in homeownership. She said that homeownership rates are nearly twice as high for White families as they are for Black families.

She also promoted the Green New Deal “because we know that environmental racism is real.”

“As long as our economy and political systems prioritize profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetuate this inequality,” the progressive Squad member continued. “So we cannot stop at [the] criminal justice system. We must begin the work of dismantling the whole system of oppression wherever we find it.”

Donald Trump, Jr., asked presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden if he agrees with Omar.

Congresswoman, can you explain how Trump is wrong? How else does one interpret the last paragraph I quoted? Here it is again, but this time with emphasis:

As long as our economy and political systems prioritize profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetuate this inequality,” the progressive Squad member continued. “So we cannot stop at [the] criminal justice system. We must begin the work of dismantling the whole system of oppression wherever we find it.”

Omar sounds a lot like the Seattle city councilwoman I wrote about yesterday. Socialism!

I also had no idea the “air that we breathe” is oppressive. Granted, have you been to the South in the summer? The heat and humidity are pretty oppressive. Both make it hard to breathe!

So Omar believes the education system is oppressive? I guess that means she’s all for school choice?

Did you guys see Ghostbusters II? In my opinion, underrated and pretty good. Anyway, in the words of Dr. Janosz Poha, I again ask Omar, “Why are you came?!”

WHY did you come to America if it sucks and is such a hellhole?

This is who Trump will run against. Biden is an afterthought.

Did Omar not take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution when she was naturalized?
If so, she’s definitely not.
Revoke her citizenship, then deport her.

She’s taken the Article VI oath several times. E.g., upon becoming a citizen, when she was in the MN legislature, now as a US Representative

    And obviously never meant it.

Do you understand John Adams’ famous observation, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

You know the moral and religious people about whom he was speaking. The ones whose code of morality places this precept on its believers, “But let [n]your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.”

    No lying.

Seriously, do you believe Democrats when they take the oath? Or Muslims (Carson, Omar, Tlaib)?

Deception is part and parcel of Islam,

Milhouse in reply to Bitterlyclinging. | July 8, 2020 at 4:05 pm

Citizenship, once validly obtained, cannot be revoked for any reason whatsoever, including actual treason. Certainly it can’t be revoked for violating an oath. Also, she hasn’t violated it. Supporting and defending the constitution against all enemies does not rule out advocating amendments; Article 5 is part of the constitution. Nor does “support and defend” in the oath mean moral support or rhetorical defense; it means that the person is willing, if called upon, to bear arms against those who would violently overthrow it.

Ulysses in reply to Milhouse. | July 8, 2020 at 5:03 pm

To become a citizen she had to take an oath to the Constitution. In her case it is a demonstrably false oath.

“I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.”

Milhouse in reply to Ulysses. | July 8, 2020 at 11:51 pm

It is not at all demonstrable that she didn’t swear sincerely.

Also, nothing she’s done violates that oath. Even the laws she’s broken don’t violate the oath.

Third, violating an oath is not a crime.

Ulysses in reply to Milhouse. | July 9, 2020 at 6:24 am

Let me revise that. “It is demonstrable to all but the most risible and obtuse minds.

          willford2 in reply to Milhouse. | July 9, 2020 at 9:32 am

          SEDITION IS A CRIME.

Milhouse in reply to Milhouse. | July 9, 2020 at 4:25 pm

Ulysses, no it is NOT demonstrable in any way. There is absolutely no reason to even SUPPOSE that she didn’t mean her oath sincerely, and if you claim to know this you’re a f*cking liar.

Willford, advocacy of any position cannot be a crime. Congress has no authority to make it a crime. Go read the f*cking constitution.

Maybe Omar is the one in need of free English lessons.

She should be enrolled in the school of rock.

Milhouse in reply to Exiliado. | July 8, 2020 at 4:06 pm

She’s already had those, and they were worth what she paid for them. Maybe she needs some paid lessons, in the hope that she’ll pay attention to what she’s learning, so as not to waste her money.

What will be even more nauseating, she will win her next election in November.

Ok, right, you little incestual bitch! Let’s start with the removal of your Congressional salary.

JusticeDelivered in reply to olafauer. | July 8, 2020 at 2:19 pm

Frankly, I prefer her DNA being kept within her family, rather than being blended into our gene pool.

Milhouse in reply to olafauer. | July 8, 2020 at 4:11 pm

She didn’t commit incest; her marriage to her brother existed on paper only. She was living with her real husband the whole time, and even filed joint tax returns with him. There was never any divorce and remarriage; all that was a lie. When she dumped him late last year it was for the first time, not the second.

ScottTheEngineer | July 8, 2020 at 2:02 pm

I bought my house… With money I make at my job.
Is it a racially unjust system to get a job and support your family? Are black people incapable of doing that too?
I work with a lot of black people that have their shit together. This is an insult to their hard work.

JusticeDelivered in reply to ScottTheEngineer. | July 8, 2020 at 2:33 pm

I agree, what happened to work ethics in so much of today’s black community?

Work is good for the soul. There are too many soulless people.

That was nice of us to let her in from Somalia, wasn’t it?
I bet she really appreciates all America has done for her.

Oh, Ilhan, tell your brother-husband we said, “Hi!”

JusticeDelivered in reply to JohnC. | July 8, 2020 at 2:38 pm

Female genital mutilation is a common practice with Somalians. That may have much to do with her attitude.

She’s tying to kill us all with helpless outrage.

She’s tying to kill us all with helpless outrage.

The “air that we breathe” is oppressive. Guess she wants to dismantle that too.

“”WHY did you come to America if it sucks and is such a hellhole?””

More to the point, why does she stay?

O.K., Rep. Omar, if it offends you to breathe in the U.S., feel free to stop breathing at any time.

More evidence that the radical left wants to tax the air we breathe. Martin O’Malley successfully taxed residents of Maryland on rainfall, so why not air?

Blaise MacLean | July 8, 2020 at 3:23 pm

How is this not a violation of her congressional oath to uphold the Constitution?

Milhouse in reply to Blaise MacLean. | July 8, 2020 at 4:13 pm

How is it a violation? She swore that if anyone tries to illegally overthrow it by force, and she’s called on to bear arms against them, she’d do so. That’s all.

RightStuff1944 | July 8, 2020 at 3:51 pm

Time to load this lady up, and sent her back to Somalia! She is insane.

Why did Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) move to America if it’s so oppressive and racist?

To be fair, she was a kid and had no choice. Her father thought life would be better in America than in a refugee camp in Kenya; how silly of him. Of course now that she’s an adult she can always go back, if not to Kenya then to Somalia.

GTL in reply to Milhouse. | July 8, 2020 at 4:11 pm

My understanding is that when the fam left Som, that they split between the US and the UK. They were looking for the best deal.

Milhouse in reply to GTL. | July 8, 2020 at 4:14 pm

Her father took her and some of the other kids to the USA. Her mother took the rest of the kids to the UK. None of the kids got a choice in the matter. Kids never do.

systems of oppression that exist in housing, in education, in health care, in employment, [and] in the air we breathe.”

What does this even mean?

Brave Sir Robbin in reply to Milhouse. | July 8, 2020 at 7:57 pm

It means you are a racist, so shut up and sit down, and give her everything you own, and the fruits of all your future labor, until the day she decides you die. And then she can breathe air purified from whiteness.

Check your privilege Milhouse. How dare you question a woman of color. You disgust me. Get with the pogrom.

our economy and political systems prioritize profit without considering who is profiting,

What does that mean? I honestly don’t know what she means by it. What does it mean for a system to consider who is profiting? In what way could that potentially be considered, and for what purpose?

Why did Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) move to America if it’s so oppressive and racist?

Obviously, to help lead us to a more enlightened, socialist future!

Was a time we didn’t let subservives like that into the country, not to mention into Congress.

subversives

need edit function!

Let’s defund her Congressional security staff first. No more extra protection in DC, no more extra protection in her home district and wherever she travels. Let her live without it a few days and get back to us.

Or, you know, just throw her ungrateful ass out.

The problem is a Muslim’s definition of oppression is anything that interferes with the establishment of Sharia and the supremacy of Islam.

Wealth comes from a disagreement. The buyer values the stuff he buys higher than the seller values the stuff he sells. The difference is then exactly added to the national wealth.

The more disagreement, the better. The best way to produce disagreement is specialize and trade. The specializer values his stuff at much less than the buyer. The specializer then trades for stuff he values himself.

Self-sufficiency is the road to poverty.

To support specialize and trade you need incentives, laws of contract, and the whole acting-white stuff. The state protects your stuff so you don’t have to spend on its defense.

Shut all that down and poverty results.

Milhouse in reply to rhhardin. | July 8, 2020 at 11:56 pm

That’s not really a disagreement. The seller doesn’t dispute that the goods are valuable to the buyer, and the buyer doesn’t dispute that they’re not that valuable to the seller. The key is that there is no such thing as objective value. Value is always subjective, because it only exists in people’s minds. So it will always be different for different people.

Objective value is one of the fallacies behind Marxism and a lot of other bad economic theories.

The larger question who is. responsible for resettling the scum from Somalia–one of the world’s most backward and violent places–in the United States. More treason in high places.

harleycowboy | July 9, 2020 at 1:01 pm

Replace the system of oppression. With what??? Does she know she’s an elected official of the system of oppression. Talk about entitlement.

Replace the economy??? Seriously??? With what???

harleycowboy | July 9, 2020 at 1:04 pm

P.S. “We are fighting to tear down systems of oppression that exist…(and) in the air we breathe.” Now people are supposed to quit breathing????

RightStuff1944 | July 9, 2020 at 2:14 pm

This woman is a walking, talking, in-your-face insult to the American people, I hope she somehow finds real happiness. It isn’t in her Somalian socialism.

BierceAmbrose | July 9, 2020 at 11:29 pm

I can understand how she would find being in congress oppressive.

And our system allowed it, unlike any of the other systems she lived under where women, unbelievers, folks from different nations or tribes, divorcees — just to name a few — are kept down and out.
