GOP Voter Registration Outpaces Democrats
Republicans “have doubled the amount of new voter registrations … than we did in the entire 2016 cycle”
Every once in a while, the GOP gets its act together. In this case, the goal is to register as many unregistered GOP voters as possible. Democrats have long outpaced the GOP in voter registration. Until now.
The GOP has long been rather lackadaisical about things that have propelled the leftist crazies to their current level of prominence in our society, culture, and politics. Republicans seemed to imagine that being right is might, that winning the day is a matter of being the most reasonable and most unifying (in terms of eschewing identity politics and embracing all Americans as Americans). The idea seems to have been that defeating the anti-American Marxist and anarchist union of conflicting purpose is best achieved by ignoring it.
No longer. The GOP under President Trump’s leadership suddenly understands that being proactive, fighting Democrats on their own turf, is not only important but vital.
To that end, the GOP has stepped up its voter registration efforts and is outpacing Democrats in this—historically their own—arena.
The Republican Party has edged out the Democrats in the race to sign up new voters — and coronavirus lockdowns are to blame, a new report says.
New registrations cratered in the last three months, says TargetSmart, a Democratic data firm. In May of this year, 194,596 new voters were registered nationwide, according to TargetSmart’s report. That’s just 13 percent of the 1,490,631 who registered in May 2016.
In at least five battleground states, Democrats appear to have borne the brunt of the damage during the COVID-shutdown period.
In Maine, for example, 59 percent of new voters registered as Dems pre-coronavirus — but only 40 percent have done so in the months since.
Dem declines were also seen in Colorado, Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, TargetSmart found.
Additionally, in the swing state of Iowa, the new voters helped the GOP retake the statewide lead in voter registrations last month, Politico reported.

Despite the recent registration decline, over the entire pre-election period Republicans “have doubled the amount of new voter registrations … than we did in the entire 2016 cycle,” RNC press secretary Mandi Merritt told The Post. GOP canvassers added nearly 4,000 new voters to the polls over the July 4th weekend, she said.

No sh*t. That’s why DJT was elected.
And the crazy part is that the GOP, a majority it, still doesn’t understand that fact.
If the GOP ever fought as hard as the Dems or Trump fights than Trump would never have even needed to run for office.
I’m glad to see that the Republicans are working hard and doing well with legitimate registrations. That should help come November.
But the Dems have always done better with the dead vote, the inmate vote, the undocumented alien vote, and the votes from cats and dogs on mail balloting. They’ve been much more aggressive with ballot harvesting, where they collect large numbers of ballots and lose the ones that vote the wrong way.
If the Republicans can’t prevent the Democrats from using all these dirty tricks, then they need to learn to beat them at their own game.
It was tragic a few years ago when a Republican won the governor election, but the Dems kept bringing in new ballots with the ink still wet throughout three recounts. The state supreme court were all Dems, and they allowed this to happen. The Republicans refused to play dirty, and lost the election by a couple hundred votes in the third recount.
If the Dems are going to play dirty (and they certainly will do so to beat Trump), then the Republicans need to learn from them and beat them at their dirty politics.
… not to mention the Dem’s lead in the dead cat and dog vote, and the undocumented dead cat and dog vote, and the undocumented dead cat and dog inmate in the county pound vote …

Dems next trick from the bag will be restoring voting rights to prisoners released due to COVID 19.
I’d feel better about this without voting by mail.
They don’t understand that many people voted for DJT as a protest to either party. I know I did.
Once I saw all of the heads exploding, including many I didn’t expect, I was all in for Trump. The uniparty masks were dropping which told me Trump was for real. Most of the entrenched Republicans, especially in the Senate, still are not on our side.
I fear McConnell is preparing to hand over the Senate to the Dems just as Paul Ryan did the House. THAT is why we need to win the House. Losing both houses means automatic impeachment. Winning the House means the end of the impeachment talk. The Senate is hopeless as far as being a Trump ally.
Sounds like a knee-jerk reaction to me.
I would NEVER consider voting for a Democrat, but I register Independent just to keep the GOP from taking me for granted. You can vote for whomever you like, regardless of your registration.
Let us hope that “registering Republican” translates to “voting Republican” in November and that disaffected voters don’t get complacent and decide that they’ve made their point already by registering.
Republicans should NOT vote for Trump in California, New York, Illinois, or any other solid blue state. Vote for all Republicans in all other races, but not for president. Everyone should vote for Trump in any red or battle ground state.
Let’s elect Trump with the lowest percentage of the popular vote ever, but a landslide of electoral votes, if possible. Spread the word.

I assume to make the Dems’ heads ‘splode. It’s a nice thought. But I think their heads will ‘splode even bigger if he gets a solid majority of the popular vote as well as winning the election, so although I still think he’s an unfit person to hold public office I will be voting for him.
