It’s Going Down: Seattle Surrenders a Police Station and Four City Blocks to Antifa

“Antifa, anarchists and like-minded groups have taken the area surrounding the East Precinct. They’ve even put up their own barricades.”

https://twitter.com/bubbaprog/status/1270226353334423557

It is my sincere hope to warn this nation about what is headed your way from the testing grounds of a Maoist takeover: The West Coast of the United States.

Last week, I shared with you how the West Coast helped nurture Antifa, which President Trump correctly labeled a domestic terror group. The Seattle area was the site of their first major act of terror, when one of their members got ahead of the plan, and attempted to murder federal agents.

Antifa, or their helpers, under the pretense of caring about black people, now has control of a police station, and more.

Seattle’s politicians have ceded control over one of the oldest police stations in the city to a group of leftists, who have used the death of George Floyd, to advance one of their long held goals, seizing government property in the name of a Marxist revolution.

One law enforcement source tells me third-shift officers still have personal belongings in the building:

Officers went to the precinct, which is now patrolled by armed protesters. They asked if they could go into ‘our’ building to retrieve personal belongs. They were denied entry by the armed factions.

This group, quite likely members of the Antifa-affiliated John Brown Gun Club, now controls, not just the station, but four blocks of the Capitol Hill area of Seattle, which they have renamed:

As is always the case with Marxists and anything related to freedom, the label ‘Free Capitol Hill,’ is a lie. Q13 FOX’s Brandi Kruse, a friend of mine, found out just how “free” the newly mob-controlled area is, to the free press. Brandi bravely stood her ground, and even attempted to talk sense with the mob, until they forced her to leave for the safety of her crew. (Watching this, one is reminded of Melissa Click’s former campus, Mizzou, Legal Insurrection told us about. Click now teaches at Gonzaga University, a nominally Catholic school in Spokane, WA.)

You will note that the people who threatened Brandi, are largely young, white and masked: hallmarks of Antifa and Seattle wokeratti.

Antifa and John Brown Gun Club have been training to take over government property for years in Seattle and Portland; they have been allowed to do it temporarily on a number of occasions. This is what unchecked leftism does: It radicalizes itself to the degree that insurrectionist (the illegal kind), are not even investigated for literal terrorist attacks by leftist governments or local media.

Now, it’s not just ignoring their acts, the criminal Marxists who literally occupy four blocks of Seattle, are getting the assistance of public officials–that is not hyperbole.

Seattle has two avowed socialists on the City Council, amongst a council of pure, leftist radicals. The socialists want the police department abolished, and they always have. Council member Tammy Moralez has seemingly demanded more rioting and looting. She believes looting solves problems. Council member Tersa Mousqueda stood approvingly by Monday night, as an agitator told police officers to kill themselves.

Abolishing the police is simply an extension of Seattle policy, a City where officers who were exonerated by a Court are blithely called murderers by elected officials. The City Council has vowed to cut police funding by 50%, that, in a City plagued by repeat offenders–because the radicals in Seattle refuse to enforce the law.

The result: a repeat offender problem so profound that 100 repeat offenders were responsible for 3,562 criminal cases in a 12 month period. One individual had 112 criminal cases and was still on the streets. Dan Satterburg, the County Prosecutor, known locally as “Heroin Dan,” bragged in a Ted-X talk about low incarceration rates. Pete Holmes, the City Prosecutor effectively refuses to charge people with with felonies, which he charges them at all. Shutting down a police department is merely gradualism to these people.

System Failure Report
Downtown Seattle Alliance

Antifa is happy to use drug addicts, adept at theft and assault, in the continuance of their goal: a take over of Seattle. Do not mistake this for a protest. Antifa intends to create a literal base of operations for a Maoist take over of the City. Laugh if you will, but before you do, please make sure you read about Mao’s phases of insurgencies

Phase 1: Propaganda; attack the organs of government. This phase continues through all three phases.

Phase 2: Escalating attacks against the government security apparatus and critical installations. What is happening in the U.S. now is a venture into Phase 2 with a strong simultaneous Phase 1. If this fails, move back to Phase 1. If successful, move to Phase 3.

Phase 3: Conventional warfare to take over cities and overthrow the government. If this fails, revert to Phase 2. Unlikely to ever reach this phase in the U.S.

Seattle’s radicals knew what they were doing when they created an untouchable criminal class in Seattle. They were fostered an ecosystem in which lawlessness is normalized, subsidized and, in some ways, deified. Now, lawlessness runs four city blocks and controls what was Seattle’s East Police Precinct.

Please learn from this! Before the madness of unfettered leftism makes it to your city. flood your city council meetings; if you are conservative and brave, run for city council. Back your police departments with money, time and vocal support. Demand that law and order be maintained in your city. Never again consider the crazy, campus radicals and their speech codes, and totalitarian demands, just a phase of youth. The campuses are a training ground for Maoists, as Professor Jacobson well knows

This could be fun to watch. Just set up a blockade around the perimeter and don’t let any food or supplies in. Hey, it worked in the 13th century!

Is there an “our side” here that would do that? Clearly, the police won’t. It’s time for the police to take advantage of those of us who are looking to make use of the 2nd amendment in an organized fashion. We are a force multiplier in need of a force to multiply. And we support the police. Are you with us or against us?

The police won’t because someone (?) told the police that they can’t

Tell us who “the” police are.

Milhouse in reply to MarkS. | June 10, 2020 at 11:26 am

The mayor. Who is the police’s legal superior, and can tell them what to do. And who supports the insurrectionists.

This is what the Insurrection Act is for.

iconotastic in reply to Milhouse. | June 10, 2020 at 11:34 am

Inslee is on the side of the communists and racists. He will never ask for federal help. And I doubt President Trump would expend the political capital to save a cesspool like Seattle. Seattle better serves as an example of what happens when progressives control government.

The police are oath takers. They are not obligated to obey unconstitutional orders. I thought that was clear.

          @iconotastic.

If he won’t put down an insurrection in Seattle, what confidence do we have that he’d put down *any* insurrection?

Milhouse in reply to Milhouse. | June 10, 2020 at 11:58 am

Phil, an order to surrender the police station to the insurrectionists is not unconstitutional.

          “Not unconstitutional”

Seriously, that is why your credibility around here is in the toilet.

          “Not unconstitutional”

Seriously, that is why your credibility around here is in the toilet.

Why, because I’m right and you’re wrong? You have no argument to defend your position. You just throw the word “unconstitutional” around as if it has no meaning and can be used for whatever you like. Go on, if you think it is unconstitutional make one argument to support that. You don’t because you can’t. You have no concept of truth or decency. So you just attack my credibility, when at least 95% of the time I am not just right but there is no dispute that I am right.

Milhouse in reply to Milhouse. | June 10, 2020 at 4:21 pm

Seriously, you’re a Seattle cop fighting Antifa, and the order comes down from the mayor to abandon the station to them and retreat. You decide to defy the order, and now you’re up on insubordination charges. What is your defense?

I’ll go one better. You’re a Portland cop and you see Antifa beating Andy Ngo up. You naturally go to his rescue but your captain calls you back and says Mayor’s orders, you’re not to interfere. You naturally refuse the order and rescue him. As a human being I applaud you. But if the mayor decides to have you brought up on charges, what is your defense? Not your political defense, which is to shame him into dropping the charges. But legally, what is your defense?

henrybowman in reply to Pasadena Phil. | June 11, 2020 at 6:48 pm

*I* don’t “support the police” (not those particular police, who have specifically supported Antifa for most of a decade), nor the socialist administration, nor the greedy rioters, nor the black-clad, violent Maoists. I do support the uninvolved citizens who voted against the socialists, but there’s only so far I can support them. At this point, taking out the cancer involves surrendering the remaining mammary, there’s no way to avoid the collateral damage. The cleanest solution to this CF is the sweet meteor of death, and start over. Between the government forces and the anti-government forces involved there, this is one of the few instances I’ve ever found where “kill them all and let God sort it out” is a moral response.

The physical plant is one thing, but I wonder about how much further it goes. They now have access to all LE communication in Seattle? How about links with other law enforcement agencies?

What about the computers with access to records, including information on innocent civilians, AND linked access to other agencies including upward to national databases? How much data destruction is going on, or has already gone on? Surely in that age-grouped bunch there are some hackers who are now one or two levels up in the system just by physical access.

I’m less concerned about a facility and blocks of real estate than I AM concerned that they are now masking large numbers of cohorts all over the country and gaining information on future targets..

      Not quite Alesia.

I would hope there’d be no need for our “Caesar” to build a second ring of fortifications, because there wouldn’t be an army of leftist “Gauls” coming from the rest of the country to help break the siege.

Seattle loses the sun around October till April.
During that time it will rain at least once daily.
    Yeah. It’s quite depressing.
Most of the Northwest has the same problem.

CorkyAgain in reply to Yamamma. | June 10, 2020 at 8:31 pm

I live in a suburb just north of Seattle and haven’t gone into the city in almost two decades.

I like to say my ex got it in the divorce settlement — and she’s welcome to it.

Good.

This is what Seattle voted for. This is what Seattle wants. Let them have it.

And let the consequences be a warning to November voters.

A sure fire way to win friends and influence people. Give Dems what they ask for.

From last night. Not sure if this is city hall or the precinct. I assume city hall.

https://mobile.twitter.com/BasedPoland/status/1270618467415265280

When they come out, the police/FBI SHOULD be ready and waiting.

The Democrats used to dress up in white hooded robes. Now they waive white flags. If this is not what a war looks like, then what does it look like?

This is planned surrender by the police and their handlers. No-go zones are here in the US.

The left:

–whines about the wall between Mexico and the USA…then builds a wall.
–establishes a sanctuary city…within a sanctuary city.
–demands that police departments be eliminated…then sets up a perimeter of armed police.

Makes perfect sense.

With the Left, it’s always about control. Always.

They’ll gripe about the wall … because they don’t control the wall.
They’ll gripe about “sanctuary cities” … because they don’t control immigration OR sanctuary policy.
They’ll gripe about the police … because they don’t control the police.

They’ll also gripe about free speech and claim “hate speech” … because they don’t control the message.

And they’ll gripe about privately-owned firearms … because they’re privately-owned and out of the Leftists’ control.

It’s not that the Left doesn’t like these things; they do. They only don’t like that they don’t control them.

how authorities deal with ideological groups is proving very hypocritical. We are letting Antifa take over cities but Clinton administration, decided to invade Branch Davideon who were on their own land not bothering anyone (for the most part) – my memory may be off on this last point….

henrybowman in reply to PRNeoCon. | June 11, 2020 at 6:53 pm

As someone tweeted on the thread about the request for “more organic food,” the Left and the MSM drove themselves hysterical about “terrorism” when the Bundys took one federal government shack in the middle of nowhere, and demanded a massive armed response… yet the commies establish a foothold in downtown Seattle and “this is OK.”

The Friendly Grizzly | June 10, 2020 at 10:35 am

And, the militia groups, Minutemen, The Cross and Flag group, and the Concerned Citizens are…… Nowhere to be seen.

No, they’re all elsewhere, saying, “Dang, if only I didn’t have to defend where I live…”.
Those folks don’t live there, and haven’t for decades.

Now, I personally think what’s needed is a band of armed citizens to reclaim that space for the free folk of Seattle (I know, that’s not many). This is exactly why (one reason) we have a Second Amendment.

The most effective use of the 2nd amendment right now would be for the local police who need us to use us as a force multiplier. So far, all we’ve seen are shop owners flashing guns to ward off a few looters. What we need is a large show of arms with the coordination of the police who would be freed up to conduct the key operations of restoring order.

Until that happens, all we can do is organize ourselves to protect our homes and maybe if lucky, a neighborhood. I don’t see anything more happening in my neighborhood than hunkering down and watching my door.

henrybowman in reply to Pasadena Phil. | June 11, 2020 at 6:59 pm

That contradicts every single thing I know about the police, and that goes double for blue city police. Let them sort out their own political hangover, I’m not going to hold their hair.

If such groups were to go in and clear things out, they’d be the aggressors and give the Left the proof they need that the “real threat” is from gun-toting “wingnuts”.

It’s also true that for at least some of the people in those groups, its about macho cosplay, and not actually being the “Wolverines” of the 21st century.

If such groups were to go in and clear things out, they’d be the aggressors and give the Left the proof they need that the “real threat” is from gun-toting “wingnuts”.

      /This, a thousand times this.

Au contraire, mon ami. They are thick on the ground about a day’s drive away. They may have abandoned that territory as they are not wanted there, but they are quite willing to defend their home turf.

The Democratic Party is still throwing its anti-Trump temper tantrum, and they fondly think that killing their own citizens and destroying their property will not come back to haunt them. I could wish for some good faith.

So what do they want? Defund the cops? What do they seek to accomplish by throwing up barricades and controlling 4 blocks toward that stupid idea. Maybe they’ll secede from the union. This is having all the signs of being a pretty serious tantrum.

I think their goal is to establish an anarchist enclave, such as the ones that exist in some places in Europe (e.g. in Copenhagen), where the authority of the State of Washington and of USA does not run.

Milhouse in reply to Observer. | June 10, 2020 at 2:33 pm

Yes. Just as Israel must supply water and electricity for free to the Gaza Strip, even while the strip’s government is bombarding the &#%( out of Israel. It’s their “humanitarian duty”, apparently.

Apparently, for the vile Dhimmi-crats, strife-filled, bloody and misery-laden Mogadishu in 1993 is now the model of excellence that American cities should aspire to and attempt to emulate.
Picture gangbangers riding their pick-up trucks mounted with machine guns, high as a kite, through the streets. Roadblocks with burning tires. Clan violence. This is the dystopian nightmare that the Dhimmi-crats are bringing to America.

When the inmates take over the asylum. . .who really is in control? Democrats have been fostering and allowing this to fester for decades. They will continue to lose the Midwest and South. The call to abolish the Electorial College will only grow louder.

Prize for visual of the day. Pity some will not be able to “view” it, but I’m bouncing in my chair.

That’s funny! In the early 80’s, the Lazy B sent me to Dallas for a few weeks to cover for a vacationing QC field rep. Several times I made the Dallas to Ft. Worth run and one evening about dusk, with little / no traffic on the interstate, watched the guy in front of me swerve across 3-4 lanes and summarily end an armadillo. Until that moment, I’d been wondering what all the “splats” were.

Instead of pretending to designate Antifa as a “domestic terrorist organization”, a designation that does not exist in USA law, Trump should declare Antifa in Portland and Seattle to be an insurrection, which is being aided by those cities’ mayors and councils, and accordingly send in federal forces to suppress them. Insurrection is something the law explicitly does recognize, and does authorize the president to act on.

Now THAT is something I can agree with. With all of the global and domestic funding and coordination including our government at all levels, if this isn’t an insurrection, then what is?

    “Not unconstitutional”

Seriously, that is why your credibility around here is in the toilet.

CommoChief in reply to Milhouse. | June 10, 2020 at 12:45 pm

    Milhouse,

I am not convinced that is the best action for PDJT. Certainly not in the few months before the election.

On the other hand if there were a few more of these self declared zones across states like CA, NY and Illinois then maybe. Why those states and why before rather than after the election? You won’t like it, but here’s the way to fix it.

Say those states also have these enclaves sprout up. The administration allows time for the city and state government to act. Those state governments are unwilling to do so. Now declare those states to be in insurrection. The whole state, all four of them; Washington, California, NY and Illinois are all blue. They are all now in a state of insurrection. Uh oh.

During the election of 1864 no state in insurrection was allowed to cast ballots. This was true even of the two states previously in insurrection were under federal control by then; Louisiana and Tennessee. That is the historical precedent so no electoral votes and no HoR nor Senate representation for these states.

So, unless we are willing to go all in on this then, IMO it’s better to wait until after the election to act at the federal level. Let these local d politicians and their electorate who created the conditions fix the problem. Let their d state government fix it.

Unless we are willing to go all in, declare the whole state to be in insurrection, occupy the state, remove the leadership, appoint military government, reconstruction period etc…then no thanks, wait till after the election.

Milhouse in reply to CommoChief. | June 10, 2020 at 2:38 pm

I’m not proposing and don’t think it’s right or wise to declare the whole state in insurrection. Just the actual people rebelling against the authority of the USA. The President should use force against those people alone.

The mayor and governor are giving them moral support, and passively aiding them by ordering the police not to interfere with them, but not actually joining in their actions. Unless they are caught doing so, in which case they need to be arrested.

CommoChief in reply to Milhouse. | June 10, 2020 at 5:39 pm

        Milhouse,

Obviously most of that was tongue in cheek, some of it anyway, though the more I think on it the more I like it.

As a practical matter, this kind of foolishness setting up zones and declaring them autonomous, can be dealt with slowly. We all know they can’t feed themselves. How long before they go home?

Many if not all of these folks have cell phones, the phones have tracking data, so if we want to know who these folks are we can certainly get a list. Likewise for everyone dropping off supplies phone data and licence plates shows that.

My advice to PDJT is to use the tools available to identify these folks, put them on a BOLO list, let the zone fail, and pick up the more dangerous of the actors while the rest taken up as they have normal police encounters.

The City has a police force, the state has a police force and the national guard and the unorganized state militia. Let the local and state political leadership choose how to respond in the short run. This is a tar baby that PDJT should avoid.

Why do I say avoid this? He will be vilified by the left/MSM for taking any action. If he doesn’t do the things in my original post he will be vilified by the right. He can’t win except by refusing to participate in a set up for a Kent state scenario.

TheOldZombie in reply to Milhouse. | June 10, 2020 at 1:30 pm

Trumps best move is to publicly castigate the Seattle mayor and the Governor of Washington and demand they put an end to this enclave as it’s violating the civil rights of those trapped in the enclave. Give them thirty days.

Neo in reply to Milhouse. | June 10, 2020 at 3:03 pm

This is exactly what Democratic Governors and Mayors are hoping Trump will do.

If I were an advisor to the POTUS, I’d counsel him to stay out.
I believe Governor Jay Inslee and/or Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan has asked Trump to stay out. This is purely a local law enforcement issue at this time.
To consider possible outcomes, lookup either the 1978 or the 1985 MOVE siege in Philadelphia, where a single building was involved. Neither ended well for anybody involved.
Antifa would love to have a chapter in the stories of federal law enforcement that already include Waco and Ruby Ridge.
I’d would suggest Trump very publicly go golfing.

I agree with not invoking the Insurrection Act, but for a different reason. I consider these states and cities to be hostile foreign powers that are collapsing. Sending in US military troops to Seattle or Chicago is like sending them to Beirut or Mogadishu. You are not going to keep them from warring, and you run the real risk of uniting their demagogic leaders to take action with the terrorists.

Instead, Trump could announce he is setting up refugee camps to receive those fleeing blue state violence. I would also issue travel advisories to the rest of the US and the world that these are dangerous places where civilian authority has collapsed should be avoided. Let the tyrants running these deep blue hellholes publicly beg for troops befor even considering the request.

But seriously, what is the upside to his doing that? The minute Trump gets involved, regardless of what action he takes, “this is all Trump’s fault.” Conversely, he can sit back, do nothing, and exercise federalism, and let a failed progressive city optic itself into oblivion in full view of the entire electorate.

Oh my, it’ll turn ugly if the Seattle version of Wilson B. Goode calls in the Philadelphia Airforce. The snorkel trucks just sat there while Osage Ave. burned to the ground. Might not be a bad idea to show Antifa the footage of that day.

There was a recent shooting in that neighborhood. A driver was on the street and attacked by the mob. The mob alleges that the driver was intending to run people down but no one was hit. A mob member reached into the driver side window to take control of the vehicle and was shot. To me, this an appropriate response to a carjacking attempt. The shooter left the vehicle and immediately turned himself into the police. I am sure the politicized county prosecutor will take a break from releasing rioters to throw the book at this guy.

Caveat—it looks as if the guy was seeking trouble by the pistol he was carrying. He had tricked it out with an extended magazine and a second magazine taped to it (in true bad movie style).

“Tricked out”? Seems to me he simply didn’t want to carry extra mags on his belt, which for some can be a real pain. (I’m told.) If you consider those mags as defining a pistol “tricked out,” I wonder what you would call a weapon with some actually different and more effective “accessories” such as a drop-in fire control group.

randian in reply to iconotastic. | June 10, 2020 at 7:13 pm

Even if he was “seeking trouble”, so what? That isn’t against the law, no matter what the Seattle DA says. Moreover, you have no legal obligation to avoid riot zones, and attempted carjacking is still a crime even in a riot zone.

One thing we need to remember is that not everyone with those city blocks is one of those wannabe revolutionaries.

These wannabe revolutionaries have “gotten local businesses and residents to agree to, well, disaffiliate from Seattle”.

The longer this goes on, the worse it’s going to be — not just for Seattle — but throughout the country.

Seems to me, the last time Democrats seized American soil was Ft Sumter. Hmmmm

I’d like to see some serious push back from blacks in BLM and Antifa over the predominant white presence and defacto white leadership in the movements.

At this point, I am rather shocked that there isn’t more push-back from blacks for the whites who are obviously appropriating legitimate black grievances and co-opting black protest to their own means. What the white infiltrators are doing, in my estimation, is very cowardly. How utterly ch!ckensh!t is it for whites to hide behind blacks as they destroy black communities, black businesses, commit assault, vandalism, theft, arson, murder, “in the name of” blacks?

If there is one good thing to come out of these riots, it is the awareness of blacks to the whites on the left / liberals / socialists who are USING THEM to enrich themselves with money, goods, power … there is a sense in which the white co-opting of a black movement perpetuates slavery – at least in the sense of whites using blacks – even if only for “cover”.

I am hopeful that as blacks wake up to how the “movement” is using them, how so many actions taken in their “name” have been destructive and injurious of blacks AND potentially reinforced the racial stereotypes they seek to overcome, that blacks will turn on Antifa and whites who have co-opted BLM and drive them out.

When the fight comes, I’m hopeful American patriots of all colors will partner with aggrieved blacks against the (predominantly) white communists and socialists / radicals who have used them in their campaign of hatred against America.

This only occurs because it is allowed to occur.

While this is actual insurrection and would fall under the Insurrection Act, is was allowed to occur by the government of Seattle and Washington state. And, it can be cleaned up in about two days by the local PD, if the local government turns them loose. Even in Seattle, local police have been trained in assault tactics. Because of the War on Terror, a significant number of them are military and even combat veterans. Anyone who is armed will be shot. Anyone in the street will be shot. Don’t want to be a hostage to armed insurrectionists, club them over the head, disarm them and turn them over to police. But, that is not going to happen.

However, Seattle is the perfect place to invoke the Insurrection Act. Joint Base Lewis/McChord is just down the road and has several elements on hand from the SOCOM, not to mention elements of the 7th ID and the 42nd Military Police Brigade and elements of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. HUA!

You know, when the Bundy clan did something similar, it drew a federal, state, and local law enforcement response, and was all over the news.

The left does it, and crickets.

healthguyfsu | June 10, 2020 at 12:38 pm

If someone can doxx these people, a list can be sent out to any looters not associated with this new tactic. Free looting…not home.

Use looters and rioters against looters and rioters.

I can’t even imagine what this must be like for the people who live there.

I work construction in Seattle and throughout the years have been involved with over 20 projects within a 4 block radius of that police station. All of them apartments or million dollar condos, thousands of them. I feel bad for those who are stuck inside and don’t want anything to do with this.

quick question: what is AG Barr and FBI director Wray doing at this junction?

this level of insurrection has to be in violation of multiple federal codes, not including trespassing and illegal possession of state/federal property

President Trump shouldn’t need to do anything here and the virtual silence and inaction of those two fucks I previously named speaks volumes of where they stand on this issue

if a bunch of right-wing nutjobs pulled off a stunt like this, the feds would be all over this shit leaking their names, data history, etc… with 24/7 news coverage and blockades setup around said building

wtf is going on here ?

I’m convinced the Republican establishment is trying to run out the clock on this presidency

and why isn’t Fox News or any other actual journalist asking those heads these questions?

put these fucks on the spot and make them answer (or not if they run from the question)

bigskydoc in reply to fishstick. | June 10, 2020 at 2:37 pm

If I was Trump/ Barr/ Wray, I would be sitting back and letting this one burn itself out. Wait until after it collapses on itself to come in and start the prosecutions. It shouldn’t be their mess to deal with. That should be up to the mayor and the governor, and their incompetence is now on full display. Never interrupt your opponent when they are screwing up royally.

If the Feds sweep in and take it down, the occupiers win the messaging game. If you let it collapse, or force the leftist mayor and governor to shut it down, you win on multiple levels.

bigskydoc in reply to bigskydoc. | June 10, 2020 at 2:39 pm

Obviously, winning on multiple levels requires careful monitoring of the situation as it progresses. Documenting the participants, then taking them to court after the collapse.

Send those homeless people some newly developed recipes for things such as rioter meatloaf, antifa shredded barbecue sandwiches, communist Chinese Handler cabbage coleslaw….

smalltownoklahoman | June 10, 2020 at 2:58 pm

It’s like they are daring President Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act and send in the Feds + troops to clear them out and restore order. While I wouldn’t mind seeing that happen if Trump has to resort to that then I hope he has agents working in the justice department working hard on prepping cases against Antifa’s financiers and enablers, they’re the ones who really need to be gone after hard!

Unless they are directly involved in Antifa’s crimes, which I very much doubt, there is nothing they can be charged with. Supporting Antifa’s cause, and donating money for its general purposes, isn’t and can’t be a crime.

randian in reply to Milhouse. | June 10, 2020 at 7:21 pm

It isn’t a crime? I think there’s an easy case to be made that donating money to somebody you know, or should have known, would be using it to commit violent felonies makes you a co-conspirator. Felony conspiracy at a minimum. Charging the donors as co-defendants with the actors as isn’t a difficult case to make either.

Milhouse in reply to randian. | June 11, 2020 at 12:39 am

Nope. That’s not how it works. Merely knowing that someone is a criminal doesn’t mean you don’t have the right to give him stuff. You have freedom of association, which includes associating with known criminals. The only thing you can’t do is explicitly conspire with him to commit his crimes.

Ferfuggs eggs | June 10, 2020 at 6:22 pm

Cut the water and power to all of the buildings inside the zone including the fire hydrants. Sit and wait until they cry uncle.

I bought a house in Seattle in 1996, and loved the city. I’d tell people that the only way anyone would get me out was feet first. It was a liberal city, but in the old school: Live and let live, spread the money around.

That began changing after 2010 or so, and by mid-decade I started to reconsider living there. I’d wake up in the middle of the night over it, not wanting to reach the conclusion that I ultimately did. It wasn’t just one thing, but there is one symbolic example: The city said it would open a “safe injection site” where junkies and tweakers could bring their street drugs and inject in front of doctors.

That really was the last straw, so after much thought and discussion with my spouse, we decided to take the handwriting on the wall for what it was. Sold the house in 2017 and put the money into 20 acres and a newly-built place in the WA State countryside. I look back and at times ask myself why it took so long, but in any case we’ve never felt the slightest temptation to return even for a visit.

Seattle’s setting on Puget Sound is breathtaking, and there was a lot I loved about the city when we left. But, in the end, I decided that I didn’t want to wake up every morning mad at the latest outrageous stunt out of the city and county officials, who turned from liberals into hard-core radicals.

Oh, and it helps that, where we moved, the property taxes are one-third of what they were in Seattle, with every dollar of what the house there sold for reinvested here. Little things are cheaper too: Garbage pickup on the same schedule costs one-third of what it did there. We’re on a well and septic, so none of the outrageous Seattle water and sewer charges. Our electricity is 15% cheaper.

And the quality of life where we moved is infinitely higher in every respect I can think of. We figured Seattle would sink, but I’m genuinely astonished at the speed of its deterioration. We got out in the nick of time.

This is the kind of rot that needs to be fought, aggressively, the first time it appears, lest it spread. If they succeed in holding out any length of time in Seattle, they will certainly try it elsewhere; there’s lots of places ripe for abject surrender. Lots of places that aren’t. Yes, I would support PDJT in declaring this an insurrection and sending in the military. Siege tactics might work if they’re already begging for food.

If Trump wants to win reelection as the defender of law and order, he must act boldly. He should federalize the Washington National Guard and send it to reclaim the area under Antifa control and arrest as many of the little bastards as can be gotten hold of for breach of the peace.

It seems local and state officials have lost control in Seattle. Send in the military and clear out the protesters.

When protestors cross the line which includes acts of sedition and/or disrupting the lives of other innocent people, blocking their movement, violent acts, or stopping them from accomplishing their jobs or purpose, blocking their speech, and/or unnecessarily interfering with the activities of their environment, or smear tactics, then they are violating their Constitutional rights, 1st amendment rights, breaking existing laws, and need to be brought to justice. Protesting has its limits and place. These protests are not spontaneous and are organized activities by outside domestic terrorist groups. Many are paid by George Soros, BLM, Antifa, and related extreme liberal groups ( Obama). Those who incite and/or fund riots/looting/arson (George Soros) need to be arrested for being an accomplice and/or sedition. They need to account and pay for the damage they create including costs created by obfuscation. Rioters and looters/arsonists should be placed on notice that they can/will be shot! Likewise any rioter/looter/arsonist arrested who lives outside of the immediate area does not have a “dog in the fight” and deserves an additional citation for being a paid rioter/looter and face felony charges. It is a federal crime to cross state lines or to use interstate facilities to incite or participate in violent rioting. Those rioters/arsonists arrested need to have a criminal/outstanding warrant background check, students need to be expelled, and all face loss of any government subsistence. Unmasking and disarming protestors of weapons should be enforced and Mayors, governors, government officials allowing out of control riots or preventing the police from doing their jobs should be arrested and held accountable.

Its all sorts of wonderful that so many good and decent people here are denouncing the violent, bigoted, hate filled communists known as “Antifa”. Antifa is pure evil, without any redeeming features of any kind.

My issue is, OK, what is anyone going to DO about it? Its all very well to sit and tut tut and tsk tsk, but mere words didn’t stop the Bolsheviks or the Maoists from murdering over a hundred million innocent people. Neither the idiot mayor in Seattle, nor WA state’s Governor Doofus is going to do anything about this. In fact, it doesn’t look like ANYONE in a position of power or responsibility is going to lift a finger to protect decent Americans from these vicious fanatics.

So, are “we the people” going to get organized and ACT? Or are we going to wait while our country turns into Antifastan?

I would be extremely interested in hearing any practical ideas that DON’T involve pleading with government “leaders” to get off their a$$e$ and do their jobs
