Bernie Sanders Staffers at War With Each Other as Election Approaches

“The left circular firing squad never rests and never misses a beat squandering an opportunity to get its head out of its ass to actually organize people outside of the cult”

The battle for the soul of the Democratic party that was waging as far back as 2016 primary is still happening. It doesn’t seem to matter what Bernie tells his supporters to do, some of them will never embrace establishment Democrats.

The ones who do join the establishment then come under fire from the holdouts. It’s the same movie, over and over.

Holly Otterbein reports at Politico:

Staffers lash out in Bernie world meltdown

Bernie world is tearing itself apart.

As election results across the country rolled in on Tuesday evening, current and former aides to Bernie Sanders abruptly laced into each other on social media, trading accusations of being “tone-deaf,” not giving “a shit about the base,” and even stealing infrastructure from the 2020 campaign…

For progressives and ex-Sanders staffers worried about how to keep the movement alive after the Vermont senator dropped out of the primary, the feud set off a round of soul-searching since it came against the backdrop of nationwide civil unrest and protests against police brutality.

“The left circular firing squad never rests and never misses a beat squandering an opportunity to get its head out of its ass to actually organize people outside of the cult,” said Jonathan Tasini, the author of “The Essential Bernie Sanders and His Vision for America” and a national surrogate for Sanders in 2016. “I just find it sad and head-shaking that this kind of crossfire is coming out now when the progressive movement has the opportunity to talk to millions of people.”

No matter how many times Democratic leaders call for unity, they can’t change the reality that there are two factions in the party, each struggling for dominance.

Ronn Blitzer of FOX News has more:

Current and former Sanders staffers turn on each other in campaign aftermath

Even by the standards of partisan vitriol being hurled in all directions amid civil unrest and the coronavirus pandemic, a remarkable dispute is raging among Bernie Sanders alumni in the aftermath of his second failed presidential campaign.

Current and former Sanders staffers have lashed out at one another in recent days, concerning both general gripes about working with the Democratic establishment and personal shots at individuals’ post-campaign activities.

Former Sanders speechwriter David Sirota has been critical of the campaign, tweeting repeatedly about its failures and how those involved, including himself, “should accept their blame” for Sanders’ loss.

But it was a criticism of the “unity task-force” made up of Sanders and Biden supporters that caused particular consternation.

Here’s Sirota’s tweet:

Here’s Bernie Sanders spokesman Mike Casca firing back:

There’s more, but you get the general idea.

This schism will continue until one side defeats the other, definitively.

Democrats had a chance to nominate Bernie, but chose “Weekend at Bernie’s” instead…..

“The battle for the soul of the Democratic party…”

A battle over nothing.

In this case it’s people who are no longer getting steady campaign paychecks battling to prove they were the the truest of the true Bernie believers.

that’s the problem with disparate groups they all have their own agendas and they will only lockstep behind you as long as they think they are the pigs, not the horse.

When contemplating change, one must realize the alternatives to mediocre are many, few of them are better, most being worse.

Bernie’s people don’t just want to transform the country. They want to transform the Democrat Party. Biden represents everything that they are rallying against. He is not the solution for them. The DNC is clueless.

It’s worse than that for the DEMS.

The Last Refuge

The media, especially the political media, are never allowed to talk about the internal ideologies behind the two camps:

Team Obama (BLM – Islam) and

Team Clyburn (AME – Christian);

but the issues are very real and keeping the coalition together is not easy. Seeing Al Sharpton (AME team) deliver his racial narrative to the Minneapolis funeral audience today is a reflection of how important and tenuous the dynamic really is.

The BLM foot-soldiers do not like the lack of purity within the Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton messaging. Two-J’s and Sharptongue are both old-school AME members where religious worship kneels foremost in front of the altar of money.

Floyd family lawyer, Benjamin Crump, is more AME than he is BLM. Al Sharpton was Crump’s mentor going all the way back to the Martin Lee Anderson case in 2006. But at the same time Crump needs the BLM foot-soldiers to drum the social justice message in order to achieve maximum impact.

Bottom line today is that Minneapolis opportunists, specifically the Muslim community, will benefit from the current anti-police narrative. The Somali Muslim community wants Sharia-enforcement officers instead of traditional law enforcement. Ergo the Ellison/Omar agenda will benefits from recent events.

However, beyond the local benefit, the new BLM/AME alliance does not seem to be moving the national needle. If you look closely it appears more and more people have caught on to the unspoken and divisive agenda.

Lastly, the long standing issues between Latinos and Blacks is an important angle to watch; especially with 2020 Democrat candidate Joe Biden going down on his knees in favor of the BLM/AME network.

There is a risk that Democrats might lose more Latinos than they will gain amid blacks. This type of political calculation always carries a risk; this is what happens when ideology intersects with the assembly of special interests.

I don’t understand the complaints from the Sandernistas. Communism is now the sole ideology of the Democrat Party, and isn’t that what they wanted? Does not the vast majority of the American media march in lockstep with the Democrat Party, a relationship that most resembles the state once found in Nazi Germany, Maoist China and the Soviet Union? Is not communism taught in practically every public school classroom? Does not Hollywood churn out communist agitprop as entertainment? Are not Khmer Rouge-like militia groups murdering, raping and looting with little hindrance in major blue cities right now? Are not the leaders of these beleaguered cities actively working to turn control of law enforcement over to the same Khmer Rouge-like militia?

99.9% of the Bernie Bros are ignorant losers who want the benefits of the socialism that has been sold to them, which is less work and lots of free stuff. They have no clue that the other 0.1% sees them as disposable trolls. And Biden’s camp thinks even less of them. I expect the Bernie camp and the Biden camp to get along about as well as the Nazis and the Commies did just before WWII, but on a much accelerated time scale.

Out of its, out of their “ass”. Is that a pun? Let us bray.

I find it amusing to see that David Sirota is invested in the discussion. Recall that David Sirota informed us back in 2013 about Hugo Chavez’s “economic miracle.” Anyone with a minimal grasp of the data could have informed Sirota that even with $100 oil in 2013, Venezuela’s economic growth lagged behind most of the world. Hugo was elected in 1998. From 1998-2013, Venezuela’s per capita economic growth was only 15%- compared to 44% for the World. (World Bank) That is with $800 billion in petroleum sales. Only an ignorant fool- or a liar- would call that an “economic miracle.” Yet Bernie hired him.
