Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday urged Muslim countries to support Palestinian “jihad” against Israel and the United States.

He called for “bold resistance by the Palestinian nation and groups in order to force out the Zionist enemy and the U.S. through jihad.” He also urged “[A]ll Muslim nations and the world of Islam must support them too.”

Khamenei reiterated his support for all Arab and jihadi groups waging a terror campaign against Israel, vowing to give them everything within the regime’s reach. Tehran already arms and funds the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Gaza-based terrorist group Hamas. Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based terror militia, which targets Israeli soldiers and civilians along Israel’s northern border, is a proxy terrorist group taking direct orders from Tehran.

“We believe that Palestinian armed organizations will stand and continue resistance and the Islamic Republic sees supporting Palestinian groups as its duty,” Khamenei said in his speech marking the 41st anniversary of the Islamic takeover of Iran. “So it will support them however it can and as much as it can and this support is the desire of the Islamic system and the Iranian nation,” he added.

The Times of Israel news website reported Khamenei’s latest remarks:

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei vowed on Wednesday that Tehran would fund Palestinian terror groups to the best of its ability, asserting that it was the proper response to the unveiling of the Trump peace plan.

“We believe that Palestinian-armed organizations will stand and continue resistance and the Islamic Republic sees supporting Palestinian groups as its duty,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in address, which was published on his website.

“So it will support them however it can and as much as it can and this support is the desire of the Islamic system and the Iranian nation.”

Iran funds the Gaza-based Palestinian Hamas and Islamic Jihad terror groups and Lebanon-based Hezbollah terror organization, all of which are sworn to Israel’s destruction.

Khamenei said US President Donald Trump’s peace plan for solving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will “die” before the American leader does.

These Iranian threats came in response to President Donald Trump’s Israeli-Palestinian peace plan unveiled last week. The U.S. proposal more than doubles the territory controlled by the Palestinians and offers $50 billion in investments to help create millions of Palestinian jobs.

“Palestinians are in poverty and violence, exploited by those seeking to use them as pawns to advance terrorism and extremism, President Trump said while unveiling the deal on January 28. “They deserve a far better life.”

Much to Tehran’s liking, the current Palestinian leadership has rejected this generous offer of peace. They, instead, incited riots in Jerusalem and territories under their control. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas rejected the deal without even considering it. “[T]oday we say a thousand no’s to the Deal of The Century,” he said.

While prominent Arab countries, such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, came out in support of the Trump peace deal, Tehran is calling on the Arab and Muslim countries to reject it. Both the Iranian regime and the Palestinian leadership have responded to Washington’s peace plan with calls for more violence and terror. The two are united in their adherence to the jihad doctrine, and their hatred of Israel and the West.
