Indiana Couple Charged With Running Boys Off Road Over Trump Flags on Their Bikes

“ya’ll scared, just like your president”

A couple from Indiana is under arrest this weekend after they allegedly used their car to run two teenage boys off the road. They were reportedly angry because the boys had Trump flags attached to their bicycles.

What is wrong with some people?

FOX 5 in New York reported:

Indiana couple drove boys with Trump flags off road: police

A northwestern Indiana couple allegedly used a car to force two teenage boys off a road, angered that the twin brothers were riding bicycles adorned with flags supporting President Donald Trump, before ripping one of the sibling’s flag from his bike, police said Friday.

Hobart police said Snapchat videos helped officers secure charges against Kyren Gregory Perry-Jones, 23, and Cailyn Marie Smith, 18, in connection with a July 22 incident.

Police Capt. James Gonzales said the Hobart couple are accused of driving in their car, running the 14-year-old boys off of the road, and making threats toward them.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the boys told officers that a vehicle with a man driving and woman passenger followed them before the male driver pulled up nearby and asked one of the boys “if they were Trump supporters” – to which the boy replied that they were.

These two pillars of humanity apparently recorded the incident on Snapchat, and the dialogue seems pretty damning, according to this report from KMOV News:

In a video posted to Snapchat, allegedly by the couple of their encounter with the boy, shows “the driver turns the wheel sharply as if he saw the boys and wanted to hit them with the vehicle while yelling `ya’ll better get home,'” according to the affidavit. A male’s voice is then heard telling the female passenger “pull that flag down” in the video which shows the female trying to reach it through her window and her saying, “get closer.”

“The female is then heard saying `ya’ll scared, just like your president” and `America is not great'” followed by an expletive, according to the affidavit.

In a second Snapchat video, Perry-Jones alleged says, “Don’t let me see you downtown” to one of the boys and threatens to beat him up.

At what point do Democrats call out this type of unhinged and dangerous behavior? It’s not like this is an isolated incident.

Nick Arama of RedState makes the point well:

We see incident after incident of violent leftists attacking people over Trump support and the nature of the attacks seems to be getting more violent with things like this, the man driving the van into the GOP volunteer tent in Florida and the man attacking three Trump supporters in New Hampshire. The boys here could have been seriously hurt. Yet what’s missing in this equation is national Democrats standing up and condemning such incidents, encouraging leftists to stop the crazy.

At what point do Democrats call out this type of unhinged and dangerous behavior?

Before you know it they’ll bombard a federal fort, or something.

At no point. They see attacks at Trump supporters as what they deserve. The democrats are totally unhinged and it runs through the whole democrat cult.

Dems don’t have to condemn it as long as it stays off the mainstream newsline. As long as they get comrade cover, they can pretend it doesn’t exist.

I’m sure they only wanted to start a national conversation. /sarc

Mark my words, any sane and responsible Democrat who is registered with the party now will not remain there after Bernie Sander’s presidential run. I wish the Democrats all the luck they deserve.

Looking at the two of these “critters”, it’s easy to say of each of them that She/he “chose poorly”.

    Don’t slander critters.

Actually, the guy is in his neurology residency at the Mayo Clinic.

Poor guy just made a bad choice hooking up with trash like this female.

I wonder if my former colleagues in Neurology/Neurosurgery at Hopkins made a similar joke. Those with thin skin did not last long. Our go-to insult was usually along the lines of “: smarter than a rock, but not as smart as a tree.” And our most dismissive comment was “why don’t you submit that to J. Duh.” The first time that was used there was 30 seconds of shocked silence in the room.

A large problem: too many look at those with opposing views as enemies, rather than rivals.

When your core principles and values will not hold up to reasoned debate, resorting to extreme actions may result.

Or rather than rivals, just simply fellow countrymen who disagree with them on certain issues.

These two need to do some community service as part of their sentence. Hopefully doing something that will help open their eyes a bit and see that not everyone that doesn’t march in lockstep with them is an enemy.

A beautiful thought, that community service idea. But wrong. They are adults, although she barely so, at least chronologically. If they have a high school diploma between the two of them, I would be surprised. I have doubt that any amount of exposure to other people with different values would cause a change in attitude. The chance that they are capable of introspection and self-evaluation seems pretty remote to me.

I do see a strong possibility for a religious conversion during a long prison sentence as the first parole date nears, however.

        But to which religion?

Looking at them I’d say “the religion of piece (of cake).”

On a plus note neither have neck tattoos, yet, so there is a possibility that they could express some strategic thought down the road.

Nice looking couple you have there

In Indiana’s defense, Hobart is in northwest Indiana, in the Gary/Hammond area, which is next-door to Chicago, and highly infected by that city.

Shocking behavior from a couple who in their photos clearly lean to the right.

I see the picture of these vermin and make one prediction: single motherhood.

In California the couple would be praised and kids cited…for something .. anything…requiring the couple to “pull them over”. Oh, a d charge the parents for child abuse for those flags.

I hope to see some jail time here.

Ahh, another pair of criminal geniuses who helpfully provide the police with evidence by posting videos of themselves committing their crimes.

If Obama had a son.

Somehow I don’t see these two as deep thinking political philosophers who have spent years studying the science of politics.

Glad that the two fourteen year-olds are OK.

This is why we need to bring back ‘Chain Gangs’! They should be in charge of turning boulders into gravel with rock hounding hammers for the next 10 years!

The arrogance on their faces says it all …

Read the local papers more detailed account. Black driver was chasing them through yards trying to hit them. When the victims told the driver they would call police driver retorted that he would tell cops the kids called him a racial slur. It’s the get out of jail card for black miscreants.

“The female is then heard saying `ya’ll scared, just like your president”…

When you’re not forced to being born into it, ghetto culture is just not something to gravitate to. Sad thing.

A lot of white girls are born into it. Ghetto culture isn’t just a black thing. Especially now, when a lot of white girls haven’t known anyone who even knew their fathers.

Daddy issues. You have to have a daddy first.

Both Perry-Jones and Smith have been charged with two felony counts of intimidation and criminal recklessnes. They were also charged with one count each of theft and criminal mischief, both of which are misdemeanors

These charges seem rather light. Trying to run somebody off the road with your car seem more like felony vehicular assault than mere criminal recklessness. One might suspect the district attorney of having some sympathy with the goals of the suspects.

I, Top Gun, in lieu of going to prison, swear to sign away four years of my life to the United States Navy because I want to hang out with Marines without actually having to BE one of them, because I thought the Air Force was too “corporate,” and because I thought, “Hey, I like to swim…Why not?”
I promise to wear clothing that went out of style in 1976 and to have my name stenciled on the butt of every pair of pants I own. I understand that I will be mistaken for the Good Humor man during the summer, and for the Waffen SS during the winter. I will strive to use a different language than the rest of the English-speaking world, using words like “deck, bulkhead, cover, and head,” when I really mean “floor, wall, hat, and toilet.” I will take great pride in the fact that all Navy acronyms, ranks and insignia, and everything else for that matter, are completely different from the other services and make absolutely no sense whatsoever.
I will muster (whatever that is) at 0700 hours every morning unless I am buddy-buddy with the Chief, in which case I will show up around 0930 hours.
I vow to hone my coffee cup handling skills to the point that I can stand up in a kayak being tossed around in a typhoon and still not spill a drop.
I consent to being promoted and subsequently busted at least twice each fiscal year. I realize that, once selected for Chief, I am required to submit myself to the sick, and quite possibly illegal, whims of my new-found “colleagues.” So help me Neptune.

    +1 On AF women! Damn!

Arminius in reply to Firewatch. | February 25, 2020 at 8:11 am

I have to preface this by saying I have the utmost respect for women. So much so when I was in the Navy I followed the Grandma rule. If what I am about to do makes the headlines, can I show my face to my Grandma?

      That stopped me.

Believe it or nor I could tell my Grandma about the prostitutes I used to hang out with in Asia. I could tell her because I could honestly say I never indulged. The worst I ever did? The King’s X in Bangkok. They have board games under the bar. Played a lot of Jenga.

They’re nice girls. The heartbreaking thing is their own parents sold them into the life. Girls are apparently cheap in Asia. But I would never buy one. I don’t have enough money to help them all so I felt I shouldn’t start. I would pay them as if I was using their bodies. Time is money after all. Inside I was crying.

Sorry about the accidental down vote, must have bucked.

Alternate headline. “Trump supporter murders unarmed innocents.”

You know that would be the headline.

That close to Chiraq, I am surprised that the 14 yr olds didn’t shoot their assailants.

More proof that in this “modern age” knickers come in all shades.
