Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Trump Killed Soleimani To Distract From Impeachment

The left’s Trump Derangement Syndrome is on full display following the killing of Qassem Soleimani. It’s actually mind-boggling to see the left leap to the defense of such an evil man who was personally responsible for the deaths of so many Americans and our allies.
Add in the close (actual, provable) relationship that Iran has with Russia,and it spikes up to surreal. Didn’t the left recently discover that Russia is a bad actor and accuse our duly-elected president of being a Russian stooge (at best)? Spoiler: the answer is “yes,” but now Russia’s ally Iran is Trump’s target, so Russia is good again. Or something.
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) isn’t diving into terrorist apologia as so many of her leftist allies are, however. Instead, she suggests that President Trump ordered the strike on Soleimani to distract from impeachment.
You can’t make this stuff up.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D., Fla.) said President Donald Trump’s decision to kill Iranian military leader Qassem Soleimani was made because he wanted to distract the public from recent developments in the impeachment inquiry.
“What I think is going on here, frankly, is that this action was taken more in President Trump’s self-interest rather than our national interests,” Wasserman Schultz said during an appearance on CNN. “We had damning developments in just the last day where emails came out that made it very clear that they covered up the real reason behind the withholding of hundreds of millions of dollars to Ukraine.”
“That’s outrageous and I think that has a lot to do with what this attack was about,” she added.
. . . . “Donald Trump was just impeached a week and a half ago, and we need to get to the bottom of how and who helped him carry out this illegal coverup to allow him to withhold aid to help him politically and personally, allowing Ukraine to interfere in the presidential election in 2020,” she said.
House Democrats spent three years and millions of our taxpayer dollars chasing a, as it turned out, phantom impeachable offense. Unable to find one, they settled for “obstruction of Congress” and “abuse of power.” They rammed that through the House along mostly partisan lines, with the only crossovers being Democrats voting against impeachment.
House Democrats know they don’t have a case to make in the Senate trial, so they are insisting that the Senate do their job for them. In a bizarre move, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) apparently thinks she can hold the articles hostage and exert control over the Senate. This is a non-starter, as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has made abundantly clear.
So impeachment is in limbo. Democrats will stomp their little feet and pound their little fisties on the floor . . . of the House. Meanwhile, McConnell, over in the Senate, will carry on appointing Trump nominees to the federal courts.
That’s a win for Trump, so we must ask, what in the world is DWS talking about?

Nope, no conflict of interest there I am sure. He is also thought (but not by anybody on the left) to have played a part in burying the Seth Rich murder case in DC.
