Compare and Contrast: Media Cheered Elizabeth Warren’s “Persisting” but Scolded Elise Stefanik’s

Compare and Contrast: Media Cheered Elizabeth Warren’s “Persisting” but Scolded Elise Stefanik’s

Remember in 2017 when men silencing women and calling them names like “trash” was considered sexism? As it turns out, those rules are waived when the woman is a Republican.

What a difference two years makes.  Back in 2017, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) was on the floor of the U.S. Senate reading a 1986 letter from Coretta Scott King opposing the nomination of Jeff Sessions to a federal judgeship.

It was one of Warren’s contributions to the debate in the Senate over President Trump’s nomination of Sen. Sessions for attorney general.

Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT), who was presiding over the Senate at the time, objected to the reading of the letter, stating that it impugned the character of another member of the Senate, which is against Senate rules. A short time later, Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) spoke during the debate, agreeing with Daines.

In spite of Warren’s objections, she was prevented from reading the letter on the floor of the Senate and was forbidden to take part in future floor debates about Sessions. She later read it just outside the Senate on Facebook.

“She was warned. She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted,” said McConnell at the time.

Democrats and the mainstream media were outraged. A woman in the minority had been “silenced” by powerful men.  In addition to the media running defense for Warren, “she persisted” turned into a popular Democrat/feminist rallying cry. #LetLizSpeak and #ShePersisted were viral hashtags. A year later, “She persisted” was even the theme for women’s history month.

Some women even got “She persisted” tattoos.

Over two years after the controversy, Warren is selling “She persisted” merch on her campaign website.

Now let’s contrast Warren’s star treatment after being rebuked in the Senate to the nasty scolding Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) received from Democrats, Never Trumpers, and the mainstream media after she persisted in trying to ask questions of Marie Yovanovitch Friday over House Intel Committee Chair Adam Schiff’s objections.

For a good visual of what happened, here’s video of Schiff gaveling down Stefanik, and Stefanik and Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) objecting:

The optics were terrible. You had Schiff, the most powerful man on the House Intel Committee, trying to silence a female member of the minority party on national TV. Nunes even pointed it out, accusing him of “gagging” Stefanik.

Instead of praising Stefanik for persisting and instead of slamming Schiff for shouting down a woman, Democrats and the MSM led the Twitter pile-on, accusing Nunes and Stefanik of breaking House rules, with some suggesting they staged the incident to make Democrats look bad.

Democratic strategist Adam Parkhomenko:

Republicans were quick to point out to these same people how starkly different their treatment was of Warren and other Democratic women in similar situations vs. their treatment of Stefanik:

Here’s another important point to make in pointing out the media/left’s double standards in how they treat women in politics: “Republican” George Conway, who called Stefanik “trash” over the weekend and helped circulate a fake picture of her pointing her middle finger during the hearings, will still be a Dem/media darling and invited on all the shows and to all the cool cocktail parties:

I’m so old that I remember when men silencing women and calling them “trash” was considered sexism worthy of condemnations. I guess those rules are waived when the woman is a Republican.

Was there a doubt George Conway, Pencil Neck and a report whose name cant be googled. all attacked her. Seem a real war on women to me.

There IS a war on women, and it is not coming from the Republicans or Libertarians. The thing is, I don’t see how this can possibly appeal to voters. How does that work?

In California, the weirdness simply goes unreported. It’s just like when Sen. Ted Kennedy was going all looney tunes in the Senate toward the end of his life. He’d say the damnedest things in public, and every not and then, the Washington Post would run a bowdlerized article about “there he goes, again,” as if it were all harmless. This went on for years.

Wow, it’s almost as if the mainstream media are Democrat Propagandists.

Elizabeth Warren and her raised fist shtick – aping 20th century unionist demagogues. Like she’s a working class rough. The gall of it. The media make certain that Warren’s fist photos get top billing – just search through the images. It’s like what they did with Obama and photographing him with Christ-like halo or full body aura.

Contrast that with the Stefanik finger thing.

Everything Warren does is phony and contrived.

Let’s not forget that the mainstream media named Kamala Harris Queen of the Slayers during the Kavanaugh hearings BECAUSE she interrupted and broke every rule. Then, based on that performance, Harris thought she should be POTUS. Ha ha ha ha.

It’s disheartening to see the hateful media rip apart Stefanik but I hope that means Rs in upstate NY will dig in deeper to ensure her re-election.

But of course there are different rules for Republicans and Democrats, for conservatives and people with correct thoughts. Why else would President Trump be investigated for actions he and others have denied while Joe Biden admitted his demanding a “Quid pro Quo” to keep his son {and John Kerry’s relatives} from being investigated in Ukraine. Why else would Roger Stone be convicted of lying to Congress and John Brennan, Hillary Clinton, James Clapper, James Comey et.al., are allowed to lie to the same body without incurring penalty. Of course there are different rules for us. And until President Trump, we had to lie back and keep silent. I hired President Trump for just these reasons.

A bunch of sleazeballs, aren’t they?

If you really think about it, how did ‘journalists’ financially profit from their actions in covering-up democrat corruption?

They must have made millions. Follow the money.

How crazy are fascist women?

Can you imagine the likes of hillary clinton, kamala harris, fauxcahontas, waters, michelle obama, anita dunn, alexandra cortez, rashida tlaib, omar and the like having the power of life and death over you?

Media Slut Morons MSM

For crying out loud. What’s your next great Revelation? Dems are the real racists?

You think anyone does not know this yet? We’re past the point of shaming them, we’re long past the point of them following the rules, we’re past the point of anyone switching sides. Everyone has picked their side. You can’t even shame our never Trump cucks.

Wowee! You mean Democrats use double-standards!? No way! I don’t believe it…

The media biased?!?!?!?!?! Shocked, shocked …
