Professor Jacobson is joining Austin-based Texas Public Policy Foundation at 11:30 CT to discuss the raging free speech wars.

TPPF’s Thomas Lindsay, Ph.D. will have a conversation with Cornell Law Professor and Legal Insurrection website publisher William A. Jacobson. Topics will include how campus free speech problems have moved off campus through the “call out” and “cancel” culture, the role of “intersectionality” theory, and the threat posed by high tech content filtering. I’m here three rows up, the Professor is doing great, even with the interesting first row attendee!

Congrats! Professor Jacobson.

Texas is a leader in education,
so more “moral suasion” and effort
expended there would be good.

It was a pleasure to meet you today Professor – excellent talk!

It was great to meet you professor!

You were very busy so I just introduced myself, but I wanted to tell you something because of your amazement at the safe place coloring book station at the university where you gave your “Hate speech is free speech”
I work in Behaviorial Health and most all Hospitals involved in Behaviorial health use what I call “color book therapy”
It’s cheap, real therapy, group therapy, costs money, keeps the clients occupied”, and most of the clients are women who are Borderline personalities, don’t want the responsibility of growing up and dealing with “adult issues”.
It’s disgusting

If it weren’t for color book therapy, there would be no therapy at all.
So seeing the “kids”, and I say that lightly because young men , often younger than them, went off to war many times and fought, and died for their very freedoms to color their fears away.

I must say though, your thoughts on not breaking up the big Google, Facebook, You Tube, I feel are misplaced. They will not do the right thing, they will never be fair and treat conservatives the same as “liberals”
It’s only going to get worse, they are in bed with all the media, left wing nut job groups. Senior figures in the CIA, NSA, FBI and other agencies made an open break from their would-be boss before Trump’s inauguration, commencing a public war of leaks that has not stopped. Foreign governments were in cahoots with our intelligence agencies to remove a legally elected American President! They are ALL with each other and are ALL against the American way of life
Their goal is World dominance

We have to fight them with everything we’ve got. We’re not in Kansas anymore Professor…this dog don’t hunt.

You make me remember that our Founders (Fathers and Mothers) were insistent on making governments SMALL.

There is every reason in human nature to make all governments small and extremely limited in their overreach.

Indeed, I believe it would be a mistake to call for a Government Solution. You won’t get what you intended.

We must not use the Ring to fight Sauron.

Big companies, up to a point, secretly don’t mind onerous regulations that much. They can float the cost of compliance, and at the same time it raises the barrier to market entry for any potential competition.

You’ll never see “Rollbacks” on a luxury car in Wal-Mart, because you don’t buy luxury cars in bulk at wholesale. As a mass merchandiser, Wal-Mart relies on volume of sales to make money. Each individual sale of an item may only make a few pennies profit.

This kind of business model dissonance is why a true retail monopoly can never exist in a free market. Monopolies need the backing of government to exist for more than a short time.

The real solution is less government interference in the market, not more.

We really didn’t have Founding mothers, just the way it was

Read Abagail Adams and talk to me again about no founding mothers afterward.

You can count on one hand the women given respect for their ideals and actions in the Founding of America

I don’t argue that without women there would be no America and without their sacrifices no Constitution

I’m saying women didn’t even get the vote while my grandmother had run a farm, a furniture business, raised two children alone all because her husband was an alcoholic. We were second class citizens plain and simple

Hell, I couldnt open a checking account without a “males”, preferred father Signature!

There are no female signatures on our founding forms we love so dearly

      Revolutionary Spies
Women Spies of the American Revolution

There’s a reason women marched for full rights, it’s just gone sideways now and alas I don’t want to be part of it. Shameful really

Fantastic session. I’ve known Bill for years (virtually) but it was nice to finally meet face to face.
