Reports: Ukraine Whistleblower had a “Professional Relationship” With 2020 Democratic Candidate

The IG “did not identify the Democratic candidate with whom the whistleblower had a connection.”

The Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson discovered the whistleblower behind the phone call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky worked for a 2020 Democratic candidate.

Atkinson wrote the whistleblower “showed ‘some indicia of an arguable political bias…in favor of a rival political candidate.'”

The whistleblower claimed through hearsay that Trump threatened to withhold aid from Ukraine if Zelensky did not investigate Vice President Joe Biden.

Supposedly Biden forced then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to fire the prosecutor general Viktor Shokin for not stopping an investigation into Burisma Holdings. Biden’s son Hunter sat on the company’s board.

Biden has bragged he helped get Shokin fired by threatening to withhold aid from Ukraine. He has always claimed he did it because of the corruption around Shokin. Shokin himself said otherwise.

The complaint set off a firestorm between the Democrats and Trump. The House Democrats used the complaint without looking at a phone call transcript to begin an impeachment inquiry.

The transcript showed no threats towards Ukraine. Zelensky declared no one ever threatened him to begin an investigation into the Bidens.

Reports have said that the whistleblower showed bias due to his registration as a Democrat. It goes deeper than that (emphasis mine):

Under questioning from Republicans during last Friday’s impeachment inquiry interview with Atkinson, the inspector general revealed that the whistleblower’s possible bias was not that he was simply a registered Democrat. It was that he had a significant tie to one of the Democratic presidential candidates currently vying to challenge President Trump in next year’s election.

“The IG said [the whistleblower] worked or had some type of professional relationship with one of the Democratic candidates,” said one person with knowledge of what was said.

“The IG said the whistleblower had a professional relationship with one of the 2020 candidates,” said another person with knowledge of what was said.

“What [Atkinson] said was that the whistleblower self-disclosed that he was a registered Democrat and that he had a prior working relationship with a current 2020 Democratic presidential candidate,” said a third person with knowledge of what was said.

All three sources said Atkinson did not identify the Democratic candidate with whom the whistleblower had a connection. It is unclear what the working or professional relationship between the two was.

While Atkinson found “evidence of possible bias,” it did not change his mind “that the complaint relating to the urgent concern ‘appears credible,’ particularly given the other information the ICIG obtained during its preliminary review.”

Well, well. Isn’t that a surprise. Not!

The whistleblower may have been working for a particular campaign who might benefit from the complaint.

So, when does the FEC get involved? Like, never.

What Legacyrepublican said! Just gonna make more people determined to support Trump as the Dems continue to try and lie and smear him out of office.

Well, Duh. This is an attempted Deep State take down, so nobody should be surprised by this.

In other words, this was an obvious political hit job and the IG was willing to change the rules to facilitate it.

And some people actually wonder why the deplorables get mad.

Adam Schiff, Check Todd, Nicolle Wallace, and Nancy Pelosi and Speaker Cortez think …. “Nothing to see hear — Move along”

Nearly half of our fellow citizens don’t care or are in favor of Soviet state tactics.

That’s the real problem we face.

Take a look at the IGs career path to this point. He isn’t clean himself.

Shouldn’t someone be pursuing a ethics violation against the IG?

Makes one sort of question the whole whistleblower “process” doesn’t it. Where is that whistleblower Inspector General in all this? Oh, I know — he’s right in the middle of the damn swamp!

If these conniving, lawless, duplicitous Dhimmi-crat Deep State zealots were smart, they would have proffered a registered Republican or an Independent to be their “whistle-blower” stooge.

Problem is, all of these contemptible Dhimmis have been marinating for decades in the putrid, rotting liquid of the Dhimmi-crat swamp, so, it’s nigh impossible to find a conspirator who can at least provide the veneer of apolitical detachment.

Isn’t about time now that with this new information that the whistleblower be exposed?

Clearly this is a political hit job.

I’d bet they are so desperate to keep the whistleblowers identity a secret because that whistleblower still works with whatever 2020 Democrat candidate they are supporting. In a big way. Not like they are a small person in the campaign.

This is insane. The Democrats are trying to impeach President Trump over this phone call and they really think they will forever be able to hide the whistleblowers identity?

I’m guessing that the fake whistleblower worked for Biden himself.

I’m guessing the leaker, cum whistleblower, did not work or have a professional relationship with Biden, unless the leaker was really, really stupid. The leaker should hav been able to guess that the complaint as filed would put make public Biden’s quid pro quo of Ukraine, a quid pro quo that looks very fishy, even if it was on the up and up.

“The House Democrats used the complaint without looking at a phone call transcript to begin an impeachment inquiry.”

Stop parroting false narratives. Pelosi never started an impeachment inquiry.

Must have worked for someone who doesn’t want Biden to win.
