First Ukraine Whistleblower falling apart, so media inventing a Second Whistleblower

First Ukraine Whistleblower falling apart, so media inventing a Second Whistleblower

NY Times supposed bombshell: Someone is thinking about filing a second Ukraine whistleblower complaint but has not done so, and may not need to do so since he or she already has been interviewed.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixGaRFyYwBY

The New York Times is continuing the tradition of the Russia collusion media frenzy, where every few days a new media “bombshell” was launched, only to be revealed as a dud. By the time the bombshell was debunked, a new media bombshell was launched, hence a new news cycle.

It was the permanent crisis news cycle:

Since Mueller was appointed in May 2017, after James Comey was fired as FBI Director, we have been in a perpetual 3-5 day “scoop” news cycle based on the Mueller probe.

For over a year barely a week goes by that some publication doesn’t publish a “scoop” about what Mueller is thinking, who his team is talking to, what they might do or might not do, and so on. The Mueller probe is the media gift that keeps giving, usually based on anonymous sources.

Just as each breathless and frequently demonstrably inaccurate media firestorm has died down — Wait, another Big Scoop. Let’s start a new news cycle. It never ends, and will not end so long as Mueller is investigating Trump, whether Trump is a “subject” or a “target” or something else.

The nation has suffered this media-driven Mueller probe gaslighting ….

It’s happening again.

The case for the First “Whistleblower” is falling apart, with the revelation of previously undisclosed pre-complaint communications with Adam Schiff’s office, damaging testimony from the recently resigned special envoy to Ukraine, and above all, the release of the complaint itself which demonstrated it was a professionally prepared legal brief and closing argument not a true whistleblower revelation.

Now the media is in search of a new whistleblower, and the NY Times has found one to create another news cycle. Except this Second Whistleblower has not filed a whistleblower complaint, but is only thinking about it according the the Times’ sources. Seriously.

This “bombshell” is lighting up Twitter and will dominate the news for the weekend, 2nd Official Is Weighing Whether to Blow the Whistle on Trump’s Ukraine Dealings:

A second intelligence official who was alarmed by President Trump’s dealings with Ukraine is weighing whether to file his own formal whistle-blower complaint and testify to Congress, according to two people briefed on the matter.

The official has more direct information about the events than the first whistle-blower, whose complaint that Mr. Trump was using his power to get Ukraine to investigate his political rivals touched off an impeachment inquiry. The second official is among those interviewed by the intelligence community inspector general to corroborate the allegations of the original whistle-blower, one of the people said.

The inspector general, Michael Atkinson, briefed lawmakers privately on Friday about how he substantiated the whistle-blower’s account. It was not clear whether he told lawmakers that the second official is considering filing a complaint.

A new complaint, particularly from someone closer to the events, would potentially add further credibility to the account of the first whistle-blower, a C.I.A. officer who was detailed to the National Security Council at one point….

Got that? Someone is thinking about filing a whistleblower complaint but has not done so, and may not need to do so since he or she already has been interviewed.

Such a person would not, under any circumstances, be a real whistleblower — the person is not revealing anything new and is merely a witness to someone else’s complaint. It’s a media hoax to assign the term “whistleblower” to such a person, but it creates a new news cycle.

Yet within minutes of the 8:38 p.m. publication of the report by the NY Times tonight, this supposed second whistleblower was being hailed as the end of Trump.

Just more manipulation.

But maybe the media Russia collusion hoax isn’t the best analogy:

“Crazy how this is mimicking the Kavanaugh accusations. By Sunday Michael Avenatti will be holding a press conference talking about a third whistleblower.”

“When you strike at a king, you must kill him.”

― Ralph Waldo Emerson

not saying Trump is a king, but the sentiment fits. The deep state keeps striking and missing, and the people are starting to wake up to the hits.

and we are seeing the results of that metaphor in reverse. Trump came to town boasting about draining the swamp and his failure to do so is the cause of his current predicament

Barry in reply to MarkS. | October 5, 2019 at 9:39 am

      You know you’re FOS.

Trump has done more than anyone not a neverTrumper thought remotely possible.

You’re the Walter Cronkite twin, claiming defeat when we have an overwhelming victory. Or, as in this case, claiming defeat while in the midst of the war.

Everyone here recognizes you for what you are.

MarkS in reply to Barry. | October 5, 2019 at 10:01 am

Trump has done absolutely nothing to “drain the swamp”! No of his antagonizers of the 2016 campaign or since have faced an iota of inconvenience for their deeds

moonmoth in reply to MarkS. | October 5, 2019 at 10:14 am

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that he’s done “absolutely nothing” to drain the swamp, but on the whole, I agree with you. The fact remains that despite promising to drain the swamp, Hillary is still free as a bird, and the DOJ and State Department are fighting Judicial Watch in court to continue protecting her and her fellow traitors.

moonmoth in reply to MarkS. | October 5, 2019 at 10:16 am

Correction: I meant to say “Despite Trump’s promise to drain the swamp, …”

Barry in reply to MarkS. | October 5, 2019 at 11:34 am

You’re too dumb to recognize the truth.

It takes time to defeat an entire federal government of crooks built up over the last hundred years.

Trump would like to set the ship straight without sinking it, and that is a difficult task. You are not going to understand any part of it. That requires a bit of intelligence.

alaskabob in reply to MarkS. | October 5, 2019 at 11:53 am

Can it first be agreed upon that the depth and size of the Deep State was greater then we understood? The swamp is a community with a culture not a small select group. That said …draining a swamp concentrates swamp critters and one has to also get rid of the dirty water.

notamemberofanyorganizedpolicital in reply to Morning Sunshine. | October 5, 2019 at 11:21 am

    Psalm 63:11
But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced.

“The official has more direct information about the events than the first whistle-blower,… ”

Sounds silly to me. The first stooge had NO direct information.

“The second official is among those interviewed by the intelligence community inspector general to corroborate the allegations of the original whistle-blower”

The “second whistleblower” realizes that the first whistleblower outed him as a leaker and is looking for a way to protect himself.

Hm. Could I be reading a little too much into this to presume this ‘second whistlebower’ is one of the two sources the first whistleblower passed along?

Let’s call him Fred for now, and WB#1 Bob, just for reference.

So Fred used Bob to pass along his bogus charges under the wild misconception that he would be able to keep anonymous. Then Bob goes and finks on Fred. Now Fred is stuck with having to make up something that at least sounds believable and won’t wind up getting him chucked into jail for perjury. Poor Fred.

Sort of my take. #2 is #1s source for what was on the call. 2 passes it to 1. 1 takes it and runs with it but has to identify to the IG as part of the preliminary review who his source is so he can verify that a valid/credible source actually exists. He’s at least briefly interviewed to see if he has the access #1 claims and his name is now in the file.

Then Trump points out that leakers aren’t whistleblowers and the pucker factor goes up.

I don’t think he’s going to make anything up that he hasn’t already and there’s no threat of perjury because he never attested to anything on paper or under oath. But he’s still looking at mishandling of classified information at a minimum.

This is why if you think you have incriminating information you keep it to your own darn self and work the appropriate system directly.

Comanche Voter | October 4, 2019 at 11:07 pm

I look at this mess—Adam Schiff and Pelosi see that Whistleblower #1 has stepped to the plate and whiffed–so now Adam looks at his bench of willing stooges and calls for Whistleblower #2.

It reminds me of a plaintive question asked in the early 1960’s by a manager of the then truly awful New York Mets. The manager shook his head and said, “Can’t anybody here play this game?”

It may be time for Madame Pelosi as “General Manager” to yank Adam Schiff as field manager. He’s not getting the job done.

If enough is flung against the wall, some may start to stick. The Dems/Progs/media are really reaching for this. If they weren’t so diabolical it would be funny.

They still cannot believe the smartest person in the world lost a rigged election to a person who never held elected office.

When is all this crap going to end Mr. Jacobson? Is this our lot, as Americans to daily observe and then respond rationally to the constant attempts at framing our President for misdeeds that were actually committed by the MSM and Democrats? I’m grinding my teeth, pulling my hair out, indulging in adult beverages more frequently than ever, and even raising my voice to Congressional and Senate staffers on the phone! To what end?

I am hearing about the second whistle blower and their testimony. The information being released states the whistle blower has absolute proof and witnesses as to what happened. They aren’t really sure of where exactly it happened or where or when it happened, but it did. Their witnesses have all stated that don’t know or remember anything about the event being described, but they are somewhat certain it did actually happen. Further reports stated that the witness was so devastated over what they had witnessed that they had to undergo extensive counseling to get over it. Even then, they thought long and hard after going to a prominent Democratic Senator to lay out their case to see if it was important enough to warrant whistle blowing. Given that the whistle blower is a minority female, there can be little question as to the veracity of their claims. /s

With such a weak case (well, really no case whatsoever that I can see) they are stuck with rolling out multiple “witnesses” who didn’t know much of anything but are part of the Hillary/Obama/Brennan brigade (this has the stench of Brennan all over it, in my opinion) to make the case that “with so many complaining” it must be sort of true.
I still am wondering who made the call to Nancy to force her to back this non-impeachment impeachment? Soros, Barry Soetoro, Hillary seem high on the list. I think B.S. is the more likely, and he got his orders from Jarrett or Soros.
With Mad Max calling for M’Peach Fody Fie since nearly day one after the election, this seems like it was inevitable.
The leftist base has been with them from then too. Even if you point out you need a crime of some sort, and beating Hillary despite her fraud machine working hard for her just doesn’t rise to even a misdemeanor.
Savage was right ages ago when he said Liberalism is a mental disorder. Their thinking has become so convoluted you can’t begin to put the pieces of this puzzled mind together.

Is there a point where this becomes sedition?

ScottTheEngineer | October 5, 2019 at 9:12 am

Confused? He’s my perspective.
-Joe Biden threatens to withhold a billion dollars of U.S. taxpayers gift to the Ukrainian government if they don’t fire a prosecutor that’s looking into corruption at a Ukrainian oil company where his Junky son is on the board of directors; Even though he’s absolutely unqualified to do anything but be Joe Bidens son. (Also, his name is Hunter. I’ve never met anyone named Hunter that wasn’t a total piece of shit. It’s like giving your daughter a stripper name like Chastity or Candy. So many bad decisions…)

2016 election.
-Wikileaks releases emails and other information provided to them by some unknown person showing that the DNC is colluding with Hillary Clinton to prevent Bernie Sanders from getting the nomination.
– The FBI opens an investigation into Donald Trumps campaign based on a report from a British spy that has information collected from a Ukrainian source that “Details” information about something Donald Trump supposedly did in Russia. None of which actually happened.
-The FBI is 100% certain that the information given to Wikileaks came from a Russian computer hacker because even though they’ve never looked at the actual computer system they were told by a Ukrainian security company that the Russians did it.
– partisan FBI agents start leaking “damning” information to the press about the Trump campaign. None of which is either true, illegal or even damning.
-Some of the FBI agents are fired or reassigned.
– The media comes out with a new report almost daily that the end of Trump is nigh and if not then the world will come to an end because of global warming. One way or another the only solution to the worlds problems is a socialist one world government.
– Mueller report is finally released showing no crimes were committed. 30 million down the toilet and I still live on a dirt road.

-“whistleblower” releases a report that contains second hand information from several different people about Trump threatening to withhold aid to the Ukrainians if they don’t agree to cooperate with the AG into a current corruption investigation. Transcripts of the call are released showing the this in fact never actually occurred.

– The democrat front runner and the DNC are incensed that there is an investigation because of the coming election. therefore they need to impeach Trump before the AG investigation is completed which will show just how corrupt their current favorite nominee is.

-The media in this country attack Trump non-stop. I don’t believe it has anything to do with Trump as they did the same thing to George Bush or any other Republican that would have won.

-It’s all about the socialism.

” I don’t believe it has anything to do with Trump as they did the same thing to George Bush…”

Just a minor correction – No, George Bush (either) is one of them. While they played the game of tar the republican with Bush, they did not use tens of millions of taxpayer dollars and the FBI, DOJ, and intelligence agencies to try and frame him and remove him from office.

Correction, that is a major correction.

I 100% agree with you. However, they did not have the same infrastructure in place when Bush was in. Lot of changes took place over the 8 years before Trump took office.

        OK, understood.

The basics of corruption were already in place. The zero administration completed the takeover and finalized the corruption.

Don’t forget 8 years of the Clinton crime family working in the swamp.

The claim of a second source who has complete knowledge but won’t reveal himself is a classic conspiracy theory move.

“We have absolute proof but you will never see the evidence because the source is afraid of the consequences. BUT, it is ABSOLUTE proof!”

The beauty of making such claims is that because the source is never revealed the claims cannot be disproved.

MY sources say that THIS second source is the great grandson of the source who secretly revealed that the moon landing was faked.

Somebody please wake up Mitt Romney and tell him that my conversation with the Ukrainian President was a congenial and very appropriate one, and my statement on China pertained to corruption, not politics. If Mitt worked this hard on Obama, he could have won. Sadly, he choked!

Mitt Romney never knew how to win. He is a pompous “ass” who has been fighting me from the beginning, except when he begged me for my endorsement for his Senate run (I gave it to him), and when he begged me to be Secretary of State (I didn’t give it to him). He is so bad for R’s!

True. All the more reason for Trump to spend less time on Twitter battles with twerps like Beto, and more time checking up on the shenanigans that his DOJ and State Department are pulling to protect Hillary in Judicial Watch’s lawsuits.

Look, when you don’t understand how to use the tools of battle and war, perhaps it is best you don’t type and look foolish.

Perhaps, you should spend less time trying to prove you are correct that the president is a bad person and understand the magnitude of the job, and the fact that the president can engage in more than one thing at a time, or that there are political limits to what a president with a GOPe as bad as the commies can do.
