Stacey Abrams Won’t Run for President, But Open to Being Vice President Pick

Stacey Abrams Won’t Run for President, But Open to Being Vice President Pick

I guess her 15 minutes haven’t expired yet.

Stacey Abrams, who has not yet admitted she lost the Georgia governor’s race fair and square, has tried to remain relevant with the mainstream media more than happy to help.

Abrams sat down with The New York Times to discuss her decision not to jump into the 2020 presidential race, but would not mind running as a vice presidential candidate for any of the Democratic candidates.

Abrams is still convinced she only lost in 2018 due to voter suppression and racism. It has consumed her so much that in April she declared she won the race.

She started a group called Fair Fight 2020, which she claims will help clear up voter irregularities. Abrams told The Times she believes she can help the Democratic Party the most in this way, but kept the door open for a vice presidential run:

So in saying you’re open to other opportunities, that includes any potential selection for vice president?

I would be honored to be considered by any nominee.

But my responsibility is to focus on the primary. And that means using the primary as an opportunity to build the apparatus to fight voter suppression. Because in the end, no matter where I fit, no matter which ones of our nominees win, if we haven’t fought this scourge, if we haven’t pushed back against Moscow Mitch and his determination to block any legislation that would cure our voting machines, then we are all in a world of trouble.

The conversation expanded to diversity, the favorite subject of Democrats. From Abrams answers and quotes from other Democratic candidates, it seems the party has not learned that the majority of Americans do not care about the color of a person’s skin or sex when it comes to politics.

Abrams insisted the Democrats should not shy away from “identity politics” because “[T]his is how people see themselves in our politics.”

The Democratic Party pushed Hillary down our throats, which did not work, but they still find “gender and racial diversity” as an important factor on the 2020 ticket:

Former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke said in March he would find it “very difficult not to select a woman” as his running mate. Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) pledged in June he would turn down a vice presidential nod if Democrats nominated a man to run against Trump, and declared his opposition to all-white White House tickets.

Biden said in July it would be “great” to have a female vice president, assessing that “it helps having a woman on the ticket.” He claimed earlier this month he could “think of at least six or seven people, four of whom are women, who in fact … aren’t in the race, who are totally qualified to be president.”

More power to Abrams and the Democrats if they want to continue to waste their time on issues that do not matter to the majority of Americans. No one tell them that Americans care about jobs, their pocketbooks, and the ability to provide for their families.

Who?

Now I hope it’s Biden…the internet could be delicious with memes.

“More power to Abrams and the Democrats if they want to continue to waste their time on issues that do not matter to the majority of Americans. No one tell them that Americans care about jobs, their pocketbooks, and the ability to provide for their families”

You forgot to consider support from dead Americans who overwhelmingly support Dem talking points.

“if they want to continue to waste their time on issues that do not matter to the majority of Americans”

Actually, they are promoting things which do matter, in that an increasing number of people are finding their positions completely unacceptable.

Another Dem who thinks that being a loser is an asset.

The Friendly Grizzly | August 14, 2019 at 1:29 pm

txvet2: being a loser is one. Slamming the country is another. Alienating those who are the producers, and some of whom are descendants of those who built the nation is a sure-fire winner.

She’s a natural fit for Baltimore, Newark, Philly, Detroit or similar poopholes where nothing can get worse.

Why anyone thinks she is relevant, at this point, is beyond me. Georgia really dodged a bullet during the last election.

Joe and Stacey would make a good team.

I thought that was below tubby a couple of months ago. Seems voter ID would end her career

She heard there’s free food at the White House.

Voter suppression- only in her fevered imagination.

And actually, not even there. She doesn’t buy this crap, it’s just something to dish out to the lofo voters.

Gosh, the dems have NO respect for their voters. They think ALL of them have had lobotomies!!

What a hoot!!! Suckers!!!

Vice President Abrams will join the exclusive club chartered by Vice Presidents Ferraro and Palin.

Oh be still my beating heart!

She looks like The Wire’s Proposition Joe in drag.

    A triple entendre:

    Proposition Stacey,

Her moral character would like accept propositions,
    She would rule by propositions,
and hey, she really does look like Prop Joe.

Now someone plug in the toaster while she tinkers with it.

Snort. Giggle.

To her running for president is about “me, me, me, it’s all about me and what I want.”

She’s probably more competent than biden, more indian than Fauxcahontas, more likeable than harris, more realistic than Mr. Butt, more honest than obama and better looking than hillary clinton.

Not saying much, is it.

Some moron on the squawk box just claimed she’d make a perfect VP because she was the first black woman to run for Governor and she brought out Oprah! Can’t think of anything wrong with that kind of reasoning, can you?

Add Stacey Abrams to the list of fat, female, black, self-righteous, entitled, flaming leftist, cultural misappropriations along with Michelle Obama, Donna Brazil, DeRionne Pollard, Jehmu Green, Whoopi Goldberg, Corrine Brown, and Naima Lowe.

Is Rachel Jeantel old enough to run for president? Jeantel-Abrams would be a dream ticket. Ilhan Omar could be head of DHS and Imran Awan could be FBI Director. Linda Sarsour could be Secretary of Defense. It would be a clarifying moment.

She’s just another grifter.

Is she open to getting a Fisher-Price Nobel Prize like obama? They might be still be giving them out.

Her handlers have to convince her to do something about that braided nose hair, stylish though it may be.

Comanche Voter | August 14, 2019 at 4:29 pm

Oh frabjous joy! Look what Fat Little Stacy brings to the table. She has delusions of relevance–like Beto O’Rourke. She’s got all the personal charm of a combination of Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama. And she’s as ungracious a loser as Al Gore. Which still makes her a loser. Self awareness is not her strong point.

How can the Dems not give her a (heavy duty) seat at the table?

Such lack of self-awareness known only for sour grapes at losing governor’s race. Sounds like a perfect Democrat VP choice!

I was sorta hoping they’d give her a pogo stick.

I dunno, Stacey Abrams might make for a somewhat useful Vice President. She could serve tea on dat ass when dignitaries come to visit. ¯/_(ツ)_/¯

No one tell them that Americans care about jobs, their pocketbooks, and the ability to provide for their families.

And battleships. Americans like battleships.

Are blimps eligible to run for office?

Just like every Demoncrat (a k.a., socialist and fascist) privileged black racist – she is looking for her next FIX (a non-working job with excessive benefits) paid by the taxpayers.

ugottabekiddinme | August 14, 2019 at 11:15 pm

We can make all the fun we want, but seriously, what if the Dems do nominate Biden and he picks this loser as the 2020 ticket? Then all they have to do is pull off just enough voter and ballot fraud to steal the 2020 election.

So, how will the republic fare when Pres. Biden succumbs to some malady ordianry to 78-ish year-old males who’ve already had serious cerebral aneurysms with more than one cranial surgery, and this ridiculous pol becomes the First Whale to occupy the Oval Office?

Honestly, this sounds more like a threat. After all, as the election was stolen from her, (sniggle) she will no doubt hold that the VP slot was stolen from her as well. Unless, of course, she’s on the ticket. Then it’s book tours and speaking engagements until she’s also a democrat millionaire.

In her warped Leftist dreams.

Failing up is such a democrat party thing, so it wouldn’t surprise me if she’s the VP pick.

Could you imagine how fat she would be after 4 years of the all-you-can buffet that would be the VP gig.

Failed that she’s open to being a astronaut…

President?….{ absolutely not!}…..VEE-PEE..?…{ No way!}….Any political position?…She’s really not qualified, & She IS BIASED, BIGOTTED, Racist….to the core! She proved that in her last political attempt, that failed! Not, what America needs in a politician ‘ever”! America has way too many lame unqualified Libretard politicians already!

The perfect poison pill to derail any nomination. You’re supposed to choose a VP candidate who will HELP you!

With her remarkable list of achievements, who would not want her as a Vice President?

She has accomplished so, so much with that Yale Law School degree.

She likely was in the bottom of her class after affirmative action admission and she washed out of practicing law. I have not seen or heard a single former colleague that knows her abilities and her work and has attested to her skills or brilliances. Not surprisingly, B. Hussein Obama had no such testimonials in support of his candidacy either.

Clearly, there is a large number of people in the electorate easily impressed with superficial credentials, and the most important thing to those voters is the aplomb the candidates demonstrate in their febrile promises to take stuff away from those who earned it and give it to those that did not.
