The Legal Insurrection Family is Growing… Again!
Slowly building up the Mini Insurrection contingent
Yet again, my husband Jeff and I are thrilled to announce that our family is growing!
We’re expecting a baby boy this fall, on Thanksgiving Day or thereabouts. We have much to be thankful for, indeed.
Children are truly a gift, a tremendous blessing, and a wonderful opportunity to enjoy love wholly and experience the world in all sorts of new ways.
Not entirely sure how we’ll juggle it all, but I keep telling myself I’ll figure it out. Just gonna roll with it.
We are incredibly excited to meet our little man. The girls are too, though I’m not sure they’re quite prepared for the joys of a little brother.

We don’t understand until it is too late, then we are on a fast ride with no choice to get off.
We had two daughters, four years apart. The second was special needs. My wife kept asking about trying for a boy, I said no, because we had our hands full with a special needs child. Besides, I believe that boys and girls alike should be exposed to cooking, sewing, taking things apart and building things. Regardless of gender, we all need similar skills at different points in our lives. Developing skills is good for their character and self confidence.
Now I have three grandsons, and yes, they are much harder to deal with than girls, well until puberty and riding herd to make sure they do not end up pregnant.
I see lots of people with four or more children, often all one or the other gender.
I’m fully ready for the challenge 🙂
Gender is the man’s fault, but throughout history women took the blame when there were no male offspring 🙂 Some paid with their life.

Haha. Truth be told, he’s a fantastic father. Very involved with the kiddos and a great parent across the board.
That’s the claim: the male sex is from Mars, the female sex is from Venus, and babies are conceived on Earth.

I was born a male and have remained that way for quite awhile. As it were, I wouldn’t change a thing but I can also tell you that, from the moment I first discovered the “difference”, I liked girls!
Lord only knows what your girls will think when they find out about the “difference”.
Congratulations on the good news. It is comforting to know that there are regular folks out there, as you and Jeff, who know what to do and take it upon themselves to do so.
Regardless of gender, they need the right balance of love and discipline.

Ms. Kaye, congratulations! Years ago, my wife and I had a boy and then a girl. I tend to think things go better for everyone if the order is girl-boy. If that’s true, then you’re all set!

They never arrive that easily, especially for the mother 🙂 For some reason, my wife was quite cranky during labor.

I was the youngest. Two older sisters can be a pain. Of course, there were times I was a pain, especially as they got older. Then I got older, and it was glorious to have a sister who knew every pretty girl in the high school. It’s a whole lot easier to start a personal conversation with a girl when she’s been to your house. Made my teen-aged nerd life a lot less worse. I went to three proms.

I have three boys and a girl. I thought I knew all the rough spots from the three boys, my princess challenges me LOL.
