Harvard Hosts Special Graduation Event for People in the Country Illegally

Harvard hosts ‘UndocuGraduation’ for students in the country illegally
A pro-immigrant group at Harvard University recently hosted a graduation ceremony for students in the country illegally, an event meant to “highlight the struggles and the ways in which undocumented students persevere on this campus.”
The May 8 ceremony was hosted by the student group Act on a Dream. That group touts itself as “a student-led, student-run organization at Harvard College focused on supporting and advocating for the immigrant community on campus and beyond.”
The inaugural event featured “more than 50 students, faculty, staff, and administrators,” including a history professor who was arrested several years ago while protesting the Trump administration’s immigration policies, the Harvard Crimson campus newspaper reports.
Harvard’s media relations office did not respond to queries from The College Fix asking about the event. The Fix sought to learn exactly how many graduating seniors attended the event, as well as how many of them were beneficiaries of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which offers a temporary stay of enforcement of immigration law for younger unauthorized immigrants.
On Facebook, Act on a Dream stated the event aimed to celebrate those who are “undocumented, from a mixed-status family, or otherwise connect[ed] with the larger immigrant community.”

Isn’t harboring an illegal entrant a crime? Why were immigrant law enforcers not present? It is long past time for for ending tax exemption for institutions like Harvard–why should the the millions of individual taxpayers subsidize such a bastion of special privilege?
What is “harboring”, and in what way was anyone at the event doing so? There is certainly no obligation on anybody to inform the government about a fugitive’s presence. Now if there had been an ICE raid and anyone had actively assisted a fugitive in escaping, that would be a crime, as that MA judge recently learned.

Yes, really. There is absolutely no obligation on anybody to assist the government in doing its job. No moral obligation, and certainly no legal obligation.
When did you become the authority on morals? Something may be legal, doesn’t mean it’s moral. Is it moral for Harvard to accept millions of dollars from the federal government and use that money to admit illegal aliens over more qualified Americans?
When did you become an authority on morals? Yes, just because the federal government decides to pay you for doing things that it wants you to do doesn’t turn you into its slave, and doesn’t mean you must help it arrest people, especially people you don’t think should be arrested.
Or do you think everyone should have cheerfully helped the slave-catchers in the 1840s?
