Senate Finds No Direct Evidence of Trump-Russia Collusion

The Senate Intelligence Committee has found no direct evidence of collusion between President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia after a two-year investigation.

Even the Democrat investigators have said “they do not contest Republican Committee Chairman Richard Burr over his recent statements that ‘we don’t have anything that would suggest there was collusion.'”

From NBC News:

After two years and 200 interviews, the Senate Intelligence Committee is approaching the end of its investigation into the 2016 election, having uncovered no direct evidence of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia, according to both Democrats and Republicans on the committee.

But investigators disagree along party lines when it comes to the implications of a pattern of contacts they have documented between Trump associates and Russians — contacts that occurred before, during and after Russian intelligence operatives were seeking to help Donald Trump by leaking hacked Democratic emails and attacking his opponent, Hillary Clinton, on social media.

“If we write a report based upon the facts that we have, then we don’t have anything that would suggest there was collusion by the Trump campaign and Russia,” said Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, in an interview with CBS News last week.

Burr was careful to note that more facts may yet be uncovered, but he also made clear that the investigation was nearing an end.

“We know we’re getting to the bottom of the barrel because there’re not new questions that we’re searching for answers to,” Burr said.

One Democratic aide told NBC News that while the Democrats do not contest Burr’s statements, they believe it lacks context. The aide said, “We were never going to find a contract signed in blood saying, ‘Hey Vlad, we’re going to collude.'” However:

But they also made clear they haven’t found proof of their worst fear: That the president formed a corrupt pact with Russia to offer sanctions relief or other favorable treatment in return for Russian help in the election.

After it recently emerged in court documents that Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort shared campaign polling data with a man the FBI says is linked to Russian intelligence, [Ranking Democrat Mark] Warner called that the most persuasive evidence yet of coordination.

“This appears as the closest we’ve seen yet to real, live, actual collusion,” he said on CNN.

More facts may come out and we still have to see Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report. Warner mentioned that the only “real, live, actual collusion” is the fact “that Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort shared campaign polling data with a man the FBI says is linked to Russian intelligence.”

There is no evidence as of yet that links “the transfer of polling data to Trump” or “Manafort’s motive for sharing the information.” In fact, Mueller has only charged Manafort with crimes not related to the 2016 campaign.

Apparently, that light at the end of the tunnel the libs and never-Trumpers have been gleefully running towards is an on-coming train.

Just for the record, I’m not tired of the winning yet.

Gee. Who’da thunk?

The warlock is dead. Long live the warlock.

Now to investigate collusion between the DNC, Kiev, London, and other warlock hunters.

I forgot a long time ago that the sequence of events was as follows:
Some people in the Obama administration wanted to find dirt on Trump and his campaign, which is not unusual or surprising. Perhaps as a result of that, the intelligence community submitted a FISA application to investigate Carter Page, who had joined a Committee to advise Trump on foreign affairs. This application was approved by a FISA Judge, and was subsequently used by people in the Obama administration to reveal the names of Republicans on what has been said to be hundreds of documents obtained by NSA and/or CIA by clandestine means.
Apparently nothing of interest or use against Trump was found then.
The famous Steele dossier said little if anything about Page, so was apparently concocted by Steele or others to connect the Trump campaign to Page who was probably vulnerable to be investigated by his prominent advocacy of close relations between the US and Russia and conversation with Russian agents back in 2014 or so.
The dossier was also used by Comey to attempt to get Trump to recommend not investigating salacious material about himself in it.
This failed and Trump actually demanded that the material and its sources be investigated and it was Comey who refused to do this.
Trump then fired him. Nevertheless the acting FBI head, who had recommended Comey being fired, got angry at Trump for exposing his recommendation and appointed Comey’s friend Mueller to investigate Trump for possibly obstructing justice and also cooperating with Russians and anything else at all.
Somehow Carter Page, having been the subject of the FISA approved investigation has disappeared from the scene, not being indicted while all sorts of others have been prosecuted for things having nothing to do with the Trump campaign.
This is surprising since a FISA investigation is supposed to be allowed only if there is probable cause that the person investigated has committed a crime, based on evidence verified by the FBI.
There is something suspicious about the fact that this evidence has apparently disappeared.
Actually Page’s behavior and cooperation with Russian agents was very suspicious on its face, except for the fact that he cooperated on behalf of the CIA, which got him to plant a bug on the Russian agents which produced evidence that allowed them to be convicted of spying or something similar.
Was the FISA court apprised of Page’s CIA connection? I have to wonder if the CIA or FBI got Page to join the Trump campaign committee to provide linkage between his case and Trump, so that the previous administration could expose names on hundreds of documents.
Anyway if the previous administration was unable to find anything in the documents they examined to implicate Trump, it is not suprising that nobody since has found anything.

After, what, eight trimesters, they have discovered the baby is not viable, but is it too late to abort her?

Duh.

Now, will new AG Candy Barr investigate the rampant corruption of the Odumbo administration, hillary clinton, the FBI, the CIA, George Soros, etc etc etc?

If he doesn’t – quickly – he’ll forever be Candy Barr, and Trump should fire him — quickly – and dump him on the ash heap of shame alongside Sherlock Sessions.

What is truly funny about all this is that these so called investigations have shown that Trump is probably the “cleanest” person to have ever run for President…and that will trigger liberals like a gay man saying he was attacked at 2am by white makes wearing MAGA hats!!

What CNN will report: “Senate Drops Bombshell to Signal the Beginning of the End as Walls Close in on Trump!”

— contacts that occurred before, during and after Russian intelligence operatives were seeking to help Donald Trump by leaking hacked Democratic emails

“Before, during or after”—well, that doesn’t pin things down too well. It does, however, provide a good imaginary link to another event which didn’t happen either, keeping the reader reassured that he doesn’t have to go to CNN to get his recommended daily ration of fake news.

No sane person now doubts that the DNC was not a Russian hack, but an insider download.

Yup. Could be Seth Rich or could be DWS’s Pakistani Operatives, err, IT support folks who had access to the DNC network and many emails of congress critters. And who was caught stealing information and who, IIRC are still at large. They likely worked for Paki Intel. What happened with that?

They’ve got squat.

Note the Dem. Warner said many times he saw circumstantial evidence….all of a sudden….poof.
Something is happening behind the scenes.

Meanwhile, they carefully fail to notice the mountains of evidence of various illegal activities against a small army of Democrats

…”has found no direct evidence…”
The “direct evidence” phrase doesn’t seem to be a quote from the politicians, but rather how NBC is reporting it.

Manafort shares polling data that occurred prior to the RNC Convention and it’s proof of collusion of what ? Collusion is a crime of what ?
This comes from the same Sen. Mark Warner who exchanged texts with a Russian oligarch regarding a meeting with dossier author Christopher Steele ?

Now, if you’ve been following the story at all, and of course you have been, you will not be surprised by this. No Russian collusion is a lot like the moon landing actually happened or the abominable snowman was probably a long-haired mountain goat. You knew that already because you are not an idiot, but if so, compare your mental acuity to that of prominent political figures here in Washington.

The next time you feel dumb, remember what these Democrats said:

ADAM SCHIFF: U.S. REPRESENTATIVE, CALIFORNIA: I think there is plenty of evidence of collusion or conspiracy in plain sight.

MAXINE WATERS, U.S. REPRESENTATIVE, CALIFORNIA, DEMOCRAT: Trump has the Kremlin clan surrounding him. There is more to be learned about it. I believe there has been collusion.

JOHN PODESTA, FORMER WHITE HOUSE CHIEF OF STAFF: It is starting to smell more and more like collusion.

NANCY PELOSI, SPEAKER, U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES: We saw cold, hard evidence of the Trump campaign and, indeed, the Trump family eagerly intending to collude, possibly with Russia.

“Smells like collusion.”…”Plenty of evidence of collusion.” “Hard evidence of collusion.”

In the end, it was all fake. And they knew that, they knew it wasn’t real. They were lying from the very first day. Only their remarkable aggression, their willingness to say literally anything no matter how outrageous or slanderous or vile, kept the rest of us from catching on to what they were doing.

If the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee is willing to call someone a traitor to this country, there’s gotta be some truth to it, right?

Actually, no, there wasn’t. It was always a hoax.

Adam Schiff is an unscrupulous charlatan — that is the real lesson here. Don’t expect people like Schiff to apologize though or correct the record, much less repair the lives of the people they have destroyed.

Carter Page still can’t find a job. Roger Stone is still facing life in prison. Meanwhile, Schiff’s PR team on the other channel continues like none of this ever happened.

Here is Malcolm Nance of MSNBC explaining the results of a two-year Senate investigation mean nothing. People are guilty because we say they are guilty, we must punish them.

“Let me just say one thing. When Benedict Arnold gave the plans to West Point to Major Andre and they captured Major Andre, they do not have any real information linking those plans to Benedict Arnold, other than the fact that it was in his presence at one point during that day. But everyone knew it was treason when they caught the man, and they hung him. So at some point, there is going to be a bridge of data here that is going to be unassailable.”

“No one had any evidence, but everyone knew it was treason when they caught the man and they hung him.”

That says it all. Let’s repeat that, once again, slowly so you can write down those words and put them on your fridge as a memento of the terrifying mass hysteria we have all just lived through: “Everyone knew it was treason when they caught the man, and they hung him.”

That is our country now. That is what the Russia insanity has done to us, the real government shutdown has lasted for nearly two and a half years. That’s one percent of this country’s entire existence. We no longer have meaningful policy dates in Washington, we have investigations, instead. Nobody can think clearly, everybody is afraid.

Tucker Carlson Tonight – Tuesday, February 12Video
The country’s core problems don’t even rate as interesting anymore, either to legislators or to TV pundits who comment on legislators. The suicide rate just hit a 50-year high, did you know that? We are in the middle of the worst drug epidemic in the history of America, including the one after the Civil War and the heroin epidemic of the ’70s and the crack epidemic of the ’80s, this is way worse, and it’s one of the reasons the life expectancy, in many parts of the country, is dropping.

This is starting to look like Boris Yeltsin’s Russia, and yet nobody in Washington even notices. All Adam Schiff and the rest of the wild-eyed morons can think about is “Vladimir Putin,” “collusion,” “our hacked democracy” and all the other mindless slogans they have repeated long enough to half believe.

We’ve spent two years perpetuating a fraud, and they are still doing it. What is this? It is negligence on a stunning scale. It has nothing to do with Trump, it has everything to do with running this country, and they are not.

Historians will look back on this moment in amazement and in sadness — who put these crock-pots in charge and let them break things? Why didn’t any responsible person in the media say anything about it? Why did they collude in the charade? What the hell happened to America?

History will judge us for this moment. Adam Schiff’s grandkids will be ashamed of what he did.
