Elizabeth Warren admits there may be more ‘American Indian’ documents to drop

On signing Texas State Bar registration as American Indian, Warren says “during this time period, this is consistent with what I did”

Democrats are right to be worried that Elizabeth Warren’s Native American controversy is eating away at her viability as a national general election candidate. The analogy to Hillary’s emails is on point, an oozing campaign wound that saps the candidate’s strength.

The recent revelation that Warren signed her Texas State Bar registration card in 1986 as an “American Indian” comes on the heels of the disastrous DNA test rollout in October 2018.

We covered the latest in these posts:

There are at least two other aspects of the Texas State Bar card that deserve attention.

First, Warren is playing word games in her apology for not being sensitive to what tribal membership means. The issue is not just that she was not a member of any federally recognized Cherokee tribe. More fundamentally, she’s not Native American under any recognized standard, regardless of specific tribal membership. Warren cannot point to a single specific Native American ancestor or that she ever lived as or affiliated with Native Americans.

Warren is portraying herself as an undocumented American Indian, someone who just didn’t get the paperwork done to become a tribal member. But she’s not an American Indian, at all.

By focusing on tribal membership and sovereignty, Warren is creating a distinction that, while important in a general sense, is irrelevant to the falsehood Warren perpetrated. She signed her Texas State Bar registration as an “American Indian,” not as a member of a Cherokee tribe. She’s not and never has been an American Indian (or Native American, a synonymous term).

Second, there likely are documents Warren signed falsely representing herself to be an American Indian or Native American that have not yet surfaced. Warren admitted to this possibility when questioned about the Texas State Bar fiasco:

“Q: Could there be other documents out there with you self-identifying as American Indian?

Warren: So, all I know is, during this time period, this is consistent with what I did because it was based on my understanding from my family’s stories ….”

This second point, that there are more documents to drop, is more damaging to Warren in the Democratic primaries. Democrats may be willing to overlook a candidate who culturally misappropriated an ethnic identity. But will Democrats nominate someone as to whom there are more documents to drop on the most damaging aspect of the candidacy?

What might drop? How about Warren’s Harvard Law School hiring file, which never has been released. That file could somehow leak, or there might be a clamoring for Warren to authorize its release. If it turns out, despite all the campaign and sympathetic media claims to the contrary, that someone in the hiring process HLS knew about her Native American status prior to granting her tenure, Warren’s campaign would collapse in a heartbeat.

Even it not as dramatic as her HLS hiring file, more documents similar to the Texas State Bar registration card would paralyze Warren’s messaging.

Is that a risk Democrats are willing to take, when what’s at stake it preventing Donald Trump from becoming a two-term president?

But I thought she had no idea why Harvard would have claimed her as a Native American in their list of faculty back in the day.

Shrieking Crow does opp research on herself. Stars portend bad tidings.

This opposition information is being dropped on her from her side of the political divide. The Republicans aren’t doing it. They would have been delighted to have Trump run against her. So who is kneecapping her from the left? Are they done? Will they keep it up until she has to resign from the senate to make sure her hopes of being the nominee are truly over? Drive a stake in her heart? Who hates her in her own party? I mean, she’s so likeable you want to have a beer with her.

I agree, that’s the real story here. She used to be one of the frontrunners, but some other Democrat is trying to take her down with — dare I say — Clintonesque tactics.

While it might have been better for her to have come clean right away, her explanation that she had honestly believed her family’s stories is plausible enough. (She wasn’t always a bleached blonde, btw.)

I still wouldn’t vote for her myself, because I don’t agree with her at all on most policy issues.

her explanation that she had honestly believed her family’s stories is plausible enough.

Gullibility and superhuman optimism don’t entitle her to Affirmative Action freebies.

Assuming that her explanation is true, and that she honestly believed she was entitled to affirmative action, I don’t blame her for taking advantage of it. I blame the existence of affirmative action policies in the first place.

And those are just one of the policy differences I have with her.

She claimed that her parents eloped because her racist grandparents didn’t approve. But there was a wedding announcement in the paper. Neither of her parents are Native American. She’s just a kook, making up stories… I have a family tree on my father’s side dating back to the 1600s, that was done in the 60s. Don’t tell me she couldn’t have done a genealogical research into her own family.

This sort of how Obama got the Senate primary, IIRC. Got sealed court records unsealed and leaked, mysteriously.

My own political analysis (this and $3.00 will get you a coffee at Starbucks) is that there are some very powerful people behind the scenes who are trying to clear a path for Senator Kamala Harris. They see her as checking all the necessary boxes to unhorse President Trump in the 2020 election.

You and I, of course, will snicker at that thought, but these people are serious and, as we’ve seen the last ten years, will do whatever is necessary to get what they want.

Umm, you mean there are Democrats who’d prefer not to launch the Grande Class Battleship Hillary Clinton II?

Those Harvard hiring files have long since disappeared into the same black hole that Hillary’s emails went into.

And Warren is from Oklahoma. I can understand many people in other areas of the country really not having any direct contact with American Indians, and therefore they can fake it and fool other, equally ignorant people.

But you can’t even begin to believe that in Oklahoma. There is constant contact with them throughout the state. You cannot be a whitebread person such as Warren and possibly think you are “American Indian” when you see real American Indians around you every day.

Now,, lots of people across the country believe they have some Indian heritage in their background. I was raised believing that some great-great something or other was Indian and therefore I had some teeny tiny amount. It was sometimes mentioned when a cousin had high cheekbones and dark eyes, but none of us ever tried to claim we were Indian enough to get special goodies.

Would the Massachusetts Board of Overseers recognize a Texas license to practice law in Massachusetts without ever having registered to practice in Massachusetts?

The last scam on that story that I recall is that she maintained that her only practice was in federal courts and, therefore, it does not matter where the practitioner was licensed.

Leona Helmsley should have been so blessed? Nah. The Helmsley’s could not have gotten interest free loans from Harvard to purchase a home in Cambridge.

As I understand it, Leona actually wore corporate underwear and also knew how to dance, without feathers or moccasins.

Stick a forked tongue in her, she’s done.

So I did it because of parents stories. What race did the parents claim on the census?

Where are the calls for her to resign from the Senate?

She’s a complete fraud.

I bet she did the same with her college applications, to gain preferential treatment for admissions, and for college scholarships too.

Democrat’s, with their obsession with racial identity politics, ought to be outraged.

Warren is the Queen of Cultural Appropriation.

Her entire life, she got ahead by taking advantage of racial set-asides for Indians. Every time she got preferential treatment – admission to colleges, scholarships, and every job she ever had: she stole that from an actual Indian.

Colonel Travis in reply to Aarradin. | February 6, 2019 at 11:09 pm

Agree. But if (D)s were truly outraged, they wouldn’t be (D)s. This is why their outrage is always selective and superficial. Genuine outrage requires adherence to rigid standards. And once you risk following those, it can dangerously lead to introspection, intellectual honesty and ultimately, the chains come off and you run as fast as you can off the (D) plantation.

The only outrage you’ll see is the minimal amount needed to wipe her off the primary docket. If she is ostracized it won’t be because of the purity of the (D) hearts. It will be just another power play.

This is being orchestrated to clear the field of dems. So is the Virginia debacle. Get ready to watch a lot more scalps being lifted. So to speak.

The Dems haven’t abandoned her yet, but it’s interesting to note that, if they do, the transgression will be cultural appropriation.

You can:

rape women
kill babies
harbor illegal aliens
spew hatred against Jews, Christians, heterosexuals, old white guys, women who didn’t vote for Hillary, Catholic schoolboys on a field trip, a kid who happens to share the President’s last name, and people who have worked hard to amass a bit of wealth
drive off a bridge and leave your date to drown as the car sinks
sexually harass interns…

BUT GOD HELP YOU IF YOU APPROPRIATE CULTURE!!

So, by Gov. Northam standards, she went “redfaced” to get jobs?

DouglasJBender | February 7, 2019 at 5:43 am

By the looks of her now that this is coming out, she can legitimately be called a “redskin”.

So we are now in an age of social justice where forgiveness is not only a thing of the past but verboten and the Left is constantly manufacturing crimes committed by conservatives (see Mueller). Meanwhile, it seems that more and more often we are discovering how social justice sins of extreme magnitude are being committed or having been committed almost exclusively by Democrats (yet they continue to point fingers at conservatives). How many times is it now that the Democrats have pushed for something, abused some behavior for their own immediate benefit, or whatever, only to have it come back and bite them badly? Between Warren with her Indian claims, the debacle in Virginia’s state government, Kamalela’s initial start in politics by “dating” an influential married man, and such, the Democrats are appearing more and more to be the party of inept hypocrites. And for a politician in a world of politics, that is indeed a major claim indeed.

Meanwhile in other news, Trump is fact checked on his statement that they had hamburgers stacked a mile high in the oval office….

Kowabunga, Walking Eagle (bird so full of crap, it can’t fly), says more moccasins to drop. No worries, Dems/Progs don’t care, just want to kill unborn babies.

Hillary Clinton: 0/1024th POTUS

Why did Senator Warren claim native-American status? The answer is simple. She wanted to move up in the legal and political world. She received her legal education at Rutgers, listed in the USN&WR survey as a thoroughly mid-level (#80 something) law school. She taught law in Houston and Austin. She chaired an oversight committee of the TARP program. But she very, very much wanted to move up — she has that kind of hunger in her soul that you see in a lot of ‘elites’, the “Doody Kravitz” emptiness.

A point to consider: Harvard is of course #1 on the list of law schools. Research their faculty and you’ll find that prior to hiring Ms. Warren, they had never taken a faculty person who had graduated at any law school lower than about #12, and had never hired a law grad with a public university education (U Houston). Why would they even consider Ms. Warren? Because at that time (1995) they were taking considerable heat and negative press over their hiring practices. Hiring a woman of color allowed HLS to check two boxes, not just one, in the minority game. That plus her progressive politics and role in government made Harvard happy.

By the way, Penn did the same thing with her; remember she went from Austin to Penn for a couple of years.

Would Harvard have hired a white woman with her politics and background? To ask the question is to answer it.

    nomadic100 in reply to stevewhitemd. | February 7, 2019 at 1:18 pm

Ironically, Harvard DID hire a white woman with her politics and background. Given that Harvard Law is filled with, you know, lawyers, they appear in retrospect to have been remarkable trusting and gullible. I can imagine Warren going on and on to the faculty considering hiring her about her “high cheek bones.” “Oh, yes, professor Warren, I can see those cheekbones and would recognize them anywhere.”

“…Elizabeth Warren’s Native American controversy is eating away at her viability as a national general election candidate.”

She had any viability before? Who knew?

So, in other words, Princess Full of Bull consistently committed fraud to further her professional and political career and likely took student and teaching positions reserved for ACTUAL American Indians. This will have no impact on the Demonrats that fawn over her every word or the Conservatives that wouldn’t have voted for her anyway. Warren will now claim she’s the victim in all this because “Orange Man bad” and “the Russians” exposed her crimes in 3… 2… 1…

Easy now, we really do not want her out of the 2020 Presidential race too soon.

PersonofInterests | February 7, 2019 at 12:49 pm

Looking around at the “Political Health” of other Demtards who may oppose her, she may actually survive this in the DemoncRAT Party. Who is better: “Horizontal Chameleon” Harris; Cory “Spartacus” Booker; 76+ YO Socialist Crazy Bernie Sanders; Slick Willie’s Girl Gildebrand; Beto O’Rourke who couldn’t beat Ted Cruz? Who???

Hillarious Hillary’s “3 times a Charm” just ain’t going to happen anymore now that she’s been outed with the backroom deals at the DNC that got her past Crazy Bernie only to lose spectacularly and is now a pariah despite having a portfolio of “Dirt” on just about everybody in power that may be coerced to help her……..except President Trump.

It seems that President Trump’s SOTU and the events before, during, and after may set the course for the 2020 Election, e.g., Infanticide Cuomo and Blackfaced Infanticide Northam; the videoed reactions to topics in the SOTU speech with Demtards dawned in KKK Robes less the hoods failure to applaud record Black, Hispanic and total U.S. employment; and others, will have the very Socialist DemoncRAT Party wishing for the days before Barack Obama ruined the Party’s credo and made it the “Party for Divisiveness” dependant upon illegal aliens and cheating to win elections.

Elizabeth Fauxahontas Warren apologized for wearing whiteface in her younger years. It was a case of fake hues.

Ahhh. another useful idiot is no longer useful.

Professor Jacobson: I recall your being the prime mover digging up and getting the facts out about Senator Warren so many years ago… (10?). Deepest of heartfelt congratulations to you for all your perseverance, dedication, and efforts. BRAVO !

Beer Squaw said that Trump may not be a free man by next year…he also may not be an Indian next year either.
