Socialist Students Demand U. Georgia Ban ‘White Supremacist’ Chick-Fil-A From Campus

“industrial, white supremacist, imperialist, capitalist cults of Chick-fil-a and the Georgia poultry farms as a whole exemplify violence”

They also refer to the chicken sandwich restaurant chain as a ‘capitalist cult.’

Campus Reform reports:

Socialist students bawk to ban ‘white supremacist’ ‘capitalist cult’ Chick-fil-A

An environmental group in Athens, Georgia is demanding that the University of Georgia ban Chick-Fil-A from campus, calling the fast food restaurant chain an “industrial, white supremacist, imperialist, capitalist cult.”

Athens EarthStrike, some of whose members also belong to the Athens Young Democratic Socialists of America student group, which describes itself as the official chapter of YDSA Athens and the University of Georgia, is targeting Chick-fil-A for its use of non-compostable packaging and is further claiming that the chicken chain uses unsustainably-sourced poultry, according to the student publication The Red & Black. The group also claimed that “capitalist cults” of Chick-Fil-A and the Georgia poultry farms “as a whole exemplify violence,” the group told Campus Reform.

“The industrial, white supremacist, imperialist, capitalist cults of Chick-fil-a and the Georgia poultry farms as a whole exemplify violence,” Athens EarthStrike told Campus Reform. “One of the major poultry suppliers for Chick-fil-a is Koch. Koch targets the most vulnerable people in our immigrant communities to work as employees. Factories are built in low-income communities of color. These jobs are demoralizing, difficult and pollute the environment around them leaving communities in even worse living conditions.”

“We are targeting Chick-Fil-A because it is a central corporation in GA’s economy and we think that it can do better if the people buying its products demand action,” Earth Strike told Campus Reform.

Arrogance abounds. Please ignore these buffoons and let them wither on the vine.

With every syllable they subtract from the sum total of human knowledge and lower the planet’s cumulative IQ.

So true about cumulative IQ, of course that is always the case. People in shit hole low IQ countries want to come successful countries and lower their IQ. Generally, once they have sufficient numbers they start demanding that the host country accommodate their efforts to make their countries more like the shit hole countries the people left.

Geez, was that from the Onion or Babylon Bee or the Life of Brian?

Loons.

This sounds like a joke. Like one of those fake “academic” papers which are basically random strings of trendy jargon.

This past Monday evening, I stopped into the new Chick fil-A on 8th Ave in Manhattan to have a sandwich. As I finished my meal, a gentleman wearing a suit and a name tag came by and picked up my trash, the wrappers, bags, etc. At the next table I then heard him chatting with the customers and thought I heard him say that his father was the founder of Chick-fil-A. I reached out and asked him if he was “Mister Chik-fil-A.” He said yes and asked how I liked the restaurant.

His name tag, indeed, read Dan T. Cathy, and he is, in fact, the CEO of Chick-fil-A. He happened to be visiting New York on business, and decided to visit one of his stores, bus some tables, and ask customers if they were happy.

So a billionaire CEO cleaned my dinner table the other night. I don’t know how many other people can say that. But I know I’m not alone, and I think that says something important about the kindness, humility, and decency of that company. No matter what false and unfair claims activists might make, the actions of that company persuade me that they are good and honorable people. I will continue to be a customer.

“He said yes and asked how I liked the restaurant.”

Throughout my career I jumped between working for large companies and my own startups. While in a VP position of a subsidiary of one of the large oil companies, I would spend a week or more working out of branches which had issues. That was the only effective way to manage.

In some cases a branch’s culture was badly corrupted, sometimes culling one or two people would fix the problem, in one case I ended up firing most of a branch, and training a new team. That was a month long pain.

That must have been like having Gus Fring bus your table in ABQ.

I think the boy and I will visit one the next time we journey down to the Clackamas COSTCO.

The last time somebody tried to take on Chick-Fil-A, it didn’t go very well for them and the fast food chain became more popular than ever. Bring it on.

The entire country is going insane.

Is this because Chic Fil A doesn’t sell thighs?

I have never been to a Chick-fil-A that was not busy day or night.

MR Cathy was my wifes Sunday School teacher when he attended Geaorga Southern.

Only a group of complete morons would complain about a company building a factory and providing jobs in “low income communities of color”.

Marxists want as many poor desperate people as they can get because they are vulnerable to Marxist lies.

the chicken chain uses unsustainably-sourced poultry

I’m still trying to figure this one out. Is somebody claiming that the Earth is eventually going to run out of chickens?

How do we get so much chickens**t with so few chickens?

    SteveB in reply to tom_swift. | January 24, 2019 at 5:07 pm

My guess is they are not bright enough to understand that the renewable resource comes from Chicken eggs. So if they are eating Chicken eggs they had better stop or we will run out of Chickens. 😉

I have personally met Truett Cathy on two separate occasions and he is a true gentleman who is generous and caring of everyone he comes in contact with. His whole family are 1st class people and you could not be in a finer fast food restaurant than a Chic-fil-A. I have met several people that have worked directly for Truett Cathy and also people that have worked in the restaurants and they all without any variance spoke highly of the Cathy family.
The Athens Young Democratic Socialists of America student group is just trying to get press and recognition. However, there are doing a dis service to their school, community, and the state of Georgia of which I am a resident. If this socialist group want to be Communist group think they are fooling any one with their contrived charges, they need to stay in school and get educated on America. Provided that is taught any more, which I believe is highly unlikely. This Anti-American group has no doubt gotten the basis for their thoughts from their instructors and the school should investigate their instructors, they clearly are anti-America and social disruptors. Now in the remote chance that this insane group has their way I will as a Georgia citizen blitz my government representatives. In 2017 the Sate Appropriations was 435,718,535 any part of this that can be reduced would have a dramatic impact on UGA and this is not counting the original source from the Federal Government where Georgia get the majority of its money for appropriations. The young students need to pay more attention in how the American government works as well as understanding who really drives the economy that allows them to enjoy their ill conceived socialist complaint. Answer it is the Tax Payer and they should never forget that before they attempt to bite the hand that feeds them.
