AG Nominee William Barr Said It’s ‘Vitally Important’ for Mueller to Finish Russia Investigation

“For that reason, my goal will be to provide as much transparency as I can consistent with the law.”

Attorney General William Barr said that he plans to tell the Senate during his confirmation hearings this week that he believes Special Counsel Robert Mueller should finish his Russia investigation. From NBC News:

“I believe it is vitally important that the Special Counsel be allowed to complete his investigation,” Barr plans to tell the Senate Judiciary Committee, according to prepared remarks obtained by NBC News.

“For that reason, my goal will be to provide as much transparency as I can consistent with the law,” Barr plans to say. “I can assure you that, where judgments are to be made by me, I will make those judgments based solely on the law and will let no personal, political, or other improper interests influence my decisions.”

The confirmation hearings begin on Tuesday and should end on Wednesday in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The Democrats on the committee plan on concentrating on the Mueller investigation since Barr sent a memo to Deputy Attorney Rod Rosenstein last year that said, “Mueller should not be permitted to demand that the President submit to interrogation about alleged obstruction. Apart from whether Mueller [has] a strong enough factual basis for doing so, Mueller’s obstruction theory is fatally misconceived.”

Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) reiterated this stance on ABC’s This Week on Sunday. From The Hill:

Durbin said during an interview on ABC’s “This Week” that he’s “worried” about whether Barr can properly oversee Mueller’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible obstruction of justice on the part of Trump.

“I’m worried about it. Clearly, he’s a good lawyer. There’s no question. But when it comes to this delicate political situation — the power of the presidency, whether this investigation is warranted — Bill Barr had better give us some ironclad assurances in terms of his independence and his willingness to step back and let Mueller finish his job,” Durbin said.

Rosenstein has overlooked the Mueller investigation after former Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself. However, Rosenstein will leave the DOJ after the confirmation of a new attorney general.

Finish when? In 2030? I wonder just how cognizant some of these people are of the nonsense that is ongoing.

Sounds like another swamp rat.

What is vitally important is to expose and prosecute the large FBI-DOJ-CIA cabal that tried to turn the FBI into the KGB and the USA into the USSR by obstructing justice on Hillary’s endless mega-crimes and trying to rig the election against Trump, then frame sitting president Trump. If they succeeded in rigging a first election for the Alinsky-communist criminal Hillary there there would never be another free/real election in America, just as with Chavez in Venezuela. We came THAT close to losing it all.

Now Barr, the best friend of chief anti-Trump conspirator Mueller, says that the most important thing is that Mueller be allowed to continue to extend his cover up of every real crime on the pretext that any investigation would interfere with Mueller’s phony investigation of non-existent Trump crimes. Another deep-state arranged nomination. How can Trump fall for this disgusting sack of S#!%?

Mueller will spend the rest of his life in jail if his Uranium One crimes are ever exposed. That is why fellow conspirator Rosenstein appointed him. They knew he would conduct a cover-up because his own neck is on the rail.

Sessions was just too damned stupid but Barr is a lock to actually be on the KGB team. Trump is far too trusting.

For the rest of us, who are also under assault, we need an AG who will prosecute the left’s virulent criminal conspiracy to suppress the civil rights of conservatives. This is done violently on the streets by Antifa and their fellow travelers (try wearing a trump hat down the street in any blue city) and online by Twitter/Facebook/Google with the suppression of conservative speech, which when done by monopolists was and is a core grounds for anti-trust action, if only we had a real AG.

When you strip all the crap aside he is actually right. Mueller has to finish his investigation because if he doesn’t that would end up being a liberals wet dream.

The obvious benefit of a completed investigation is the ocean of liberal tears when Mueller finally acknowledges that there was never any collusion.

Once done then the AG can go after everyone that set this sham up to begin with and start delivering some real justice for the lives destroyed by this monkey race!!

The nothing burger is best served cold?

After 8 trimesters, yeah, reasonable people can reasonable conclude that the baby, once conceived, but not born, is not viable.

If you look at the BLATANT misconduct in mueller’s past, anyone that is “best friends for more than 20 years” is either TOTALLY CORRUPT or INCREDIBLY STUPID – either of which DISQUALIFIES HIM, IMHO !!!

Trump makes a lot of bad appointments. He should have done what Obama did, appoint someone who has his back. Instead he appoints people who want to stab him in the back.

That’s a pretty devastating condemnation of Trump, given that his popularity rests to at least some degree on his TV show, which presented him as an expert in hiring the “right” people. His real-life performance has been less than inspiring. Barr may or may not be a member of the Mueller/Rosenstein/Comey/McCabe clique as some have claimed, but there’s no doubt he’s a DC insider.

Exactly. I have been wondering for the longest time who advises Trump regarding appointments and is he so blind or so trusting as to appoint those who would, as you say, stab him in the back (Wray is another questionable appointment). This is one place – the DOJ, FBI, etc. where a little house cleaning would be welcome.

Both Trey Gowdy and Bob Goodlatte have said the same thing.

If the Mueller Report is that much of a nothin-burger, take it as a notch in the belt.

“Rosenstein has overlooked the Mueller investigation….” must be a Freudian slip with “overlooked,” but it doesn’t appear that Rosenstein is supervising the investigation in any way as it rambles all over creation looking for anything that smells like Russian dressing.

The irony of all ironies will be when Mueller has to admit no collusion took place, but then he will definitely come after Trump for obstruction whether warranted or not. His whole purpose in being appointed was to find some pretext to get Trump.

Mueller is doing a fine job of exposing the surprising truth—that DJT is the cleanest President we’ve had since, oh, I don’t know, maybe Rutherford Hayes. It would be counterproductive to stop him now. Please, go ahead and clear the President even more.

I am hoping Barr will set a DEADLINE on when the final report will be handed over to him. It is LONG overdue.

This witch hunt, this modern-day Inquisition, has dragged on long enough, and has cost the tax payers way too much, with literally NOTHING to show for it but a few long-past crimes being discovered, destroying several people’s lives and families – all because they either worked for or supported Donald Trump.

I also hope this new AG Barr will open an investigation – a REAL investigation – into Hillary’s many crimes, which any sane person WOULD have prosecuted (unlike Comey’s infamous statement after laying out the case!).

And if at any point it appears that the real target of the investigation should have been Hillary rather than Trump, then that’s where it’ll go. Right Mr. Barr?

It seems obvious that to get the right kind of people, President Trump needs to find those who are like him: Outsiders.

The rotten luck is that having finally gained control of Congress and the White House, the American Patriots are stuck behind Useful Idiots like Chicom Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy appearing as “John Boehner 3.0; Lyin Paul Ryan was 2.0). For two years, they sat on their hands, except for the Tax Law to benefit their Chamber of Corporate Criminal donors. No wonder they lost the House; they had nothing to show for their time in Congress sitting on their flat ends.

One thing that is clear is that with a Demtard Media Complex that on any given day drives untruthful narratives so as to be little more than America’s Version of Pravda or The Propaganda Ministry of Nazi Germany’s Joseph Goebbels, SOMETHING MUST BE DONE TO REEL THESE SEDITIOUS LYING BA$TARDS IN. They are poisoning the Country with their lies and reporting that appears everynight to have been rehearsed because every Alphabet Network has the same garbage. And they aren’t going bankrupt fast enough as fewer and fewer people watch by cutting the cable.
