Tijuana: Illegal Aliens Demand Entry Into U. S. or $50,000 Each in Reparations

Um. No.

You can’t make this stuff up.  The caravans of illegal aliens that have been bombarding our Southern border are now marching on the U. S. Consulate in Tijuana and demanding either entry to our country or $50,000 (each).

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports:

Two groups of Central American migrants made separate marches on the U.S. Consulate in Tijuana Tuesday, demanding that they be processed through the asylum system more quickly and in greater numbers, that deportations be halted and that President Trump either let them into the country or pay them $50,000 each to go home.

. . . . The first group demanding action, numbering about 100, arrived at the U.S. Consulate at about 11 am Tuesday. The migrants said they were asking that the Trump Administration pay them $50,000 each or allow them into the U.S.

When asked how the group came up with the $50,000 figure, organizer Alfonso Guerrero Ulloa of Honduras, said they chose that number as a group.

“It may seem like a lot of money to you,” Ulloa said. “But it is a small sum compared to everything the United States has stolen from Honduras.”

The group’s letter criticized American intervention in Central America. They gave the U.S. Consulate 72 hours to respond. They said they had not decided what to do if their demands were not met.

“I don’t know, we will decide as a group,” Ulloa said.

. . . .  The second letter came from a group of about 50 migrants, including about 15 who participated in a hunger strike that also demanded a swifter U.S. asylum process. The activist group Pueblo Sin Fronteras helped organize the delivery of the second letter.

Representatives from the second group met with Mexican immigration officials in Tijuana. The migrants asked Mexican officials to stop working with the municipal police in deporting caravan members.

That would be considerably cheaper than admitting them. That being said, we quit paying tribute to foreign powers when we went after the Barbary Pirates. Send the Marines down there to drive them through Mexico back to Honduras.

But it is a small sum compared to everything the United States has stolen from Honduras.

This is actually a common rationale throughout the non-American (or Canadian) Americas. Why are the northern countries successful, or at least functional, and the rest of the hemisphere is filled with such persistent shitholes? They all started in about the same place, at around the same time, but some countries managed to make something of it all, and others failed.

The solution is too easy. Obviously, there was originally something valuable everywhere in the New World, but those dastardly Yanquis somehow stole all of it. That’s why they’re rich, and everyone else is poor.

It’s perfect; the ideal rationale for historical shortcomings, and absolution of responsibility for continuing social and economic failure.

Get bent, invaders.

Wait 73 hours, then hand them a paper with the word “No” printed right in the middle.

Illegal Alien pirates, how quint,Eff them and their reparations/tribute.

Let me get this straight. They each have a well-founded fear of persecution in their home country. But any of them who receives $50,000 from the US will no longer have a well-founded fear of persecution? I’m not sure how that works, unless that’s the sum that would let them buy off their persecutors. Surely this couldn’t simply be a shakedown by people who do not actually qualify for asylum.

Get the names of everyone who made that demand and issue a ruling now that they have admitted they do not qualify for asylum. That should free up some manpower to process the other claimants more quickly.

I believe this may have actually been done. I heard comments by someone in an official position (maybe even a Trump tweet) that nobody asking for this has credible fear.

“They said they had not decided what to do if their demands were not met.”

Go home or stay in Mexico. That’s the only two choices they have.
