White Privilege Symposium Will Feature Racial ‘Social Justice’ Video Game

“Gaming for Social Justice”

The game is described below and is every bit as bad as you might imagine.

The College Fix reports:

‘White Privilege Symposium’ allows people to play racial ‘social justice’ video game

A private college in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, will host a “symposium” on white privilege next month, a gathering that will feature, among other things, a video game “where a player takes the role of a Black American attempting to go to the corner store and return safely home.”

Coe College will host the event, “White Privilege Symposium: Navigating Race, Privilege, Identity, and Equity (Intersectionality): The Path Forward” on Sept. 7-8.

The event flyer states that the symposium will feature keynote speakers and “educational performances” as well as a wide variety of workshops.

Some of the workshops include: the Importance of Faculty of Color in the Classroom, Intersectionality of Race, Gender and Sexual Orientation;” “Race and Poverty;” “Race and Politics,” and “Black Male Identity and Masculinity.”

Among the workshops offered is one titled “Gaming for Social Justice.” According to a description of the game obtained by The College Fix, the workshop will feature “a live game experience where a player takes the role of a Black American attempting to go to the corner store and return safely home.”

“Along the way, they encounter micro aggressions from strangers to the neighborhood, as well as from law enforcement that can range from humiliating to lethal,” the description continues.

Comments

The bubble works very hard to reinforce itself. If I held a symposium on “How to have a good life” with a game about working for a living and raising kids in a two parent home, would anyone show up besides protesters?

Video games are my passion. I love them, and have loved playing them for decades.

I say this with authority. There is NO market for these ‘games’. None. This is a ‘game’ made by people that have no actual knowledge of games and gamers, and talked about only BY people that have no connection games and gamers.

Over the last few years, every single game that has pushed SJW bullshit has failed – SPECTACULARLY.

Gamers want games they enjoy playing. Every game that has sacrificed gameplay to push social justice bullshit in their faces has been praised by games media – who are, and I know this is probably going to blow people’s minds, EVEN MORE incompetent and biased than the regular media. They get praised by the games media and NOBODY BUYS IT.

They try to push crap like Mass Effect: Andromeda – that took one of the most popular gaming franchises in existence and killed it in ONE GAME.

Gamers reject social justice bullshit because they want to play good games and they want to WIN.

Of course there is a market: colleges might buy licenses so they can require students to play them during new-student orientation, for example.
