Latest Anti-Trump Twitter Hashtag #WeKnew Reminds Us #WhyTrumpWon

Sobbing and dry-heaving. Because Trump.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqTEjriSeI4

We covered the post-Trump-Putin summit #Resistance meltdownapalooza.  The anti-Trump left and its #NeverTrump mirror image on the right have taken Trump Derangement Syndrome to a new level.  An embarrassing, deeply weird new level.

It’s never wise to huddle in a bubble, fingers in ears and humming.  Isolating ourselves from those who disagree with our viewpoint not only puts us on the perpetual defensive but undermines our ability to ever be more than reactionary.  On the right, we know this.  That’s why most of us have read The Communist Manifesto, Rules for Radicals, etc., and it’s why we keep up with what is going on in regressive, leftstream social and legacy media.  What better way to know your opponent than to understand his ideological underpinning?

What’s becoming increasingly clear, however, is that Democrats, Socialist Democrats, and Progressive Democrats not only don’t have an ideological underpinning but collectively are an hysterical, unhinged hot mess.

Case in point is the #WeKnew hashtag on Twitter.

https://twitter.com/ECMcLaughlin/status/1019936671414943744

https://twitter.com/iahappoldt/status/1020744902521470976

And it’s not just women:

And it’s not just Americans.

I’m sorry, but we’re supposed to take people like this seriously? These are the people who put all of their faith in government, who would joyously abdicate all personal responsibility to an all-powerful central government that will, in turn, rule over and manage their every decision.  And these are the people who—without a smidgen of self-awareness—insist that duly elected President Trump is #NotMyPresident?

These are not serious people; these are kabuki players and poseurs who try to one-up one another to establish their anti-Trump cred.  You cried all night on the bathroom floor?  That’s nothing, I cried all night walking five miles . . . uphill . . . in the snow . . .  barefoot!  Hmph, amateurs!  I cried all night and wandered barefoot in the snow, but I didn’t stop there.  For the next 72 hours, I wept, beat my chest, rended my garments, and pounded my fisties and feetsies on the floor.  Top that #WeKnew!

Meanwhile, sane people across America look at stuff like this and either laugh or are uncomfortable with and embarrassed by these unfounded and hysterical meltdowns. Either way, no normal American will support a party whose base, upon losing an election, melts down like the frailest of precious snowflakes.

Elections have consequences, as Obama liked to remind us, and seeing Democrats and the #Resistance completely incapable of dealing with that fact speaks volumes about their antipathy toward our representative republic.

The right is getting in on the #WeKnew fun as evidenced by LI reader @redc1c4

I can’t believe we lost the culture war to these pussies. And the GOP? Lindsey, McCain the Maverick and all that Failure Theatre?

They can’t seriously expect us to go back to the status quo post-Trump.

Given that thumbs down, at least one person does.
They’ll never learn. They just need to be marginalized.

Paul in reply to Fen. | July 21, 2018 at 7:06 pm

People who are this mentally weak have no place in society. They need to be institutionalized, or kept at home in a quiet place by their loved ones.

Paul in reply to Paul. | July 21, 2018 at 7:08 pm

Maybe Joe Kennedy was right… lobotomize them when they start acting crazy as a shit-house rat.

      C. Lashown in reply to Paul. | July 21, 2018 at 8:32 pm

Keep them at home? Why? That could become costly, and very unnerving what with wandering around the basement and talking to themselves, ranting about Pres Trump. Better to just use them as fish bait or chum.

      tom_swift in reply to Paul. | July 21, 2018 at 8:58 pm

The problem isn’t fruitcakes in society; it’s fruitcakes having anything to do with government. Thanks to the XIX Amendment, this isn’t going away until the entire country is turned into some kind of Mean Girls Club.

Not that the danger is anything new. As Gloucester said in Richard III,

Why, this it is, when men are ruled by women

      Yes, I’m afraid so.

The year 2020 (my, how time flies—but where’s my flying car, dammit?) will be the centennial of the Nineteenth’s adoption. I may finally have to take up drinking.

        Milhouse in reply to tom_swift. | July 23, 2018 at 4:08 am

What makes you think that women are more susceptible than men to this sort of hysteria?

(PS: Yes, I am aware of the etymology of “hysteria”; it originated as a sexist term, but nowadays applies to men and women equally.)

I can’t believe we lost the culture war to these pussies.

Prohibition can’t work for guns. It doesn’t work for Drugs. After the 1920 to 1933 episode this is a surprise?

And on abortion the Right is winning. America doesn’t want abortion. It is declining. They also don’t want police involved. Totally Right wing.

What we need to be on the lookout for is Right Wing Socialism.

Drug Prohibition is socialism for criminals. Says Milton Friedman.

Fen in reply to MSimon. | July 22, 2018 at 10:26 am

“Drug Prohibition is socialism for criminals.”

I think we are in disagreement, but could you elaborate on that? I’m open to having my mind changed.

As a child of two alcoholics, I dispute the idealism that “they’re not hurting anyone so it’s fine”. I also point to the carnage resulted from legalizing alcohol and ask “knowing what we know now, we’re going to legalize another drug?”

But your remarks about Republican Socialism interest me.

Disclosure. I partake routinely. 3-4 bowls per week.

Oh. My. Goodness. Who do these people hang with? Can you imagine dinner out with them?

They hang with each other. Imagine sitting next to a table full of them in a restaurant?

with the right conversation, you could probably get them to pick up and leave within five minutes of your party sitting down. could be great fun! 😎

Imagine sitting next to a table full of them in a restaurant?

Oh, unless you’re a kid, you’d never notice. They’re all women.

Up to a certain age, men pay attention to what women say. The effect is striking, and well understood by the designers of, say, military aircraft, who use recorded women’s voices for certain messages of dire urgency, knowing that even when all hell is breaking loose in the cockpit and the pilot is buried in sensory overload, he’ll still hear and notice that particular warning.

After that certain age, men know better, and learn to ignore anything that sounds like the tropical bird house at the zoo.

Loud, demanding – and bad tippers!

Every time someone shows me one of these twitter streams, I see that I was right to delete my account.

Morning Sunshine | July 21, 2018 at 6:49 pm

they KNEW what? that he paid hush money to prostitutes? I knew too, or strongly suspected anyway, but I still voted for him. because the alternative was WORSE. Much much much worse.

With Hillary I knew what we get get in a president. With Trump, I had no idea, but figured he could not possibly be worse than Her.

And I am happy with my choice. Every day brings with it a reason to be glad I voted for him, and not just glad I voted against her.

Mighty_WHrIGHTY in reply to Morning Sunshine. | July 22, 2018 at 1:34 am

Who cares if he lies, cheats, steals and enriches himself while in office. He and Putin are pro-life. God bless them!

Milhouse in reply to Morning Sunshine. | July 23, 2018 at 4:12 am

Why would the knowledge that he paid hush money to prostitutes cause the sort of reactions they report having had? Surely they must be claiming to have known something much more terrible, that has now come true. I just don’t know what.

RESPONSES TO THESE USEFUL IDIOTS ON TWITTER:

“To every woman who threw up on election night, who sobbed on the bathroom floor, who dry heaved trying to imagine how to tell her kids what had happened, who couldn’t stop physically shaking, who felt the horror of what was to come…”
(Did you at least clean the floor? Did you throw-up on your kids, too? Have your kids finally told you you’re nuts?)

“And to my brilliant and caring (then 14 year old) son who said he keeps lying and getting away with it and was completely crushed and bewildered on election night.” (Your ‘brilliant’ son is probably no smarter than most kids his age – stop abusing him with your delusions. Truth is, the poor kid probably just apes your crazy words so you’ll leave him the hell alone.)

“I didn’t get out of bed for days after the election. I sobbed. People said I was overreacting.” (Were these ‘people’ talking to you wearing white coats and putting straps around your wrists?)

“I declared the party over early because I couldn’t stop scream-crying. Went to bed and had nightmares all night. Still have them every day.” (Good. Useful idiots only learn by reality – painfully delivered.)

“This. that night I was in my bed in my darkened bedroom, and with every update coming in on my phone a vise got tighter around my chest. A visceral horror, one that stayed in my throat as a growing lump with my eyes wide open, backed up with tears afraid to flow.” (Are you sure you weren’t reacting to the umpteenth declined message you sent to some poor guy on Match.com?)

“So I’m not the only one? I cried myself to sleep that night. I could barely function for weeks. Everywhere I went I could hardly look anyone in the eye b/c I refused to acknowledge a trump voter. I was mocked by friends & family. Quit Facebook. Who’s sorry now?!” (You probably never really functioned well, let alone for a few weeks. And your friends and family are probably still mocking you – deservedly so. (You’re the type that can’t take a hint, rigth?))

“I’m a guy. I did all these things on election night. My kids were (and still are) terrified. I’m still so volcanically angry at the voters who put this shitweasel in office I can barely speak to any of them. Because we all knew.” (You are a ‘guy’ like Obama is a ‘guy.’ Your poor kids… Have a heart: give them up for adoption so they can find a healthy role model for a father.)

“In Australia I saw the results roll in. I went numb. Felt my heart sink down to my ankles. It took ages to shake off the feeling of dread.” (Stay in Australia. Please. Though it is encouraging your feelings of dread have passed. If they haven’t, encourage your government to decline US military aid to Australia, so you can pay for it yourselves.)

“Dread has been replaced by daily disbelief & a deep concern for the future of democracy in the US.” (One person’s ‘dread’ is our emancipation from leftist tyranny. Stay out of our lives – or suffer the consequences. You’re so ignorant, the election of Donald Trump furthered the chances for the future of democracy in the US obviously more than you know. In other words, we voters hit the reset button.)

DINORightMarie | July 21, 2018 at 7:06 pm

I have to say, when Obama was elected, I was so shocked and sickened that the American people voted for him, I was dazed and nauseous for a couple of days. But I knew then, because of the Professor and many who were beginning to form a community of Conservatives, that it would be hard, but I was not going to have to go through it alone.

Then, as our pre-election fears became manifest, we got down to business, exposing the propaganda, trying to expose the left’s bias, their lies, their hypocrisy, the blatant hate of those who disagreed, the throwing of the “race card” to deny legitimacy to any who disagree, and in general the out and out insanity in general of the left. I am thankful we were exposing and documenting the lies of omission and commission by Obama and his administration – including, of course, Hil-da-beast with the “home brew” server and Benghazi legacy to show for her “accomplishments”. But this deranged, delusional, insanely continuous refusal to face reality, their refusal to sanely, rationally, and open-mindedly examine events and discard the agitprop and propaganda…..wow.

The key difference: we accepted reality and examined events rationally, working to discover the truth. We called out what we saw, and to the best of our ability stood against the storm. We did NOT curl up in a ball and cry, allow our kids to be terrified for YEARS over hysterical, unfounded nonsense, and continue to deny reality, or otherwise attempt to overthrow the sitting president by any means necessary.

More evidence that leftism really is a form of mental illness. I wonder if anyone is trying to study this to obtain documented evidence to establish this as more than an instinctive, common sense conclusion……

These people are dead serious. Given the chance they wil block you from facebook. Shout you down at the local city council meeting. They will key your car if they don’t like the bumpersticker. They will snatch a hat off your head if they deem it necessary.

They weep – while doxxing and ruining coworkers.

Paul in reply to Tiki. | July 21, 2018 at 7:48 pm

“They will snatch a hat off your head if they deem it necessary.”

Not my head they won’t, I’ll curb-stomp that ass.

Close The Fed in reply to Tiki. | July 21, 2018 at 8:07 pm

Tiki, it’s true about keying your car if they don’t like your bumper sticker. It’s so odd that I don’t see ANYBODY with a Trump bumper sticker but me….. So sad you can’t support your candidate or your American-born president in America.

They have created a situation where they can’t identify most of their opposition.

Appear weak where you are strong – Sun Tzu.

Polls no longer even approximate reality.

Valerie in reply to Tiki. | July 21, 2018 at 10:01 pm

They will yell at a 14-year-old girl wearing a Trump T-shirt. Then their neighbors will get up a petition to throw them off the city council (in Texas).

The truth is that the Tweets by these women make me ashamed to admit that they are my fellow citizens.

I like history books, OK? I recall reading about the women of the suffrage movement…and the men that wanted to deny women of the ‘Vote’. One of the chief arguments was that women were to fragile in their temperament to ever be allowed the vote. That always seemed like a weak argument to me, until reading this tripe.

I certainly cannot believe that it was women such as these who helped plow the sod of Kansas and fight off the natives of the far west 150 years ago… The best America can hope for from feminine specimens such as these is that they’re all (or mostly) sterile and cannot reproduce after their kind.

The best America can hope for from feminine specimens such as these is that they’re all (or mostly) sterile and cannot reproduce after their kind.

That is why we have abortion.

Honestly, I’m still trying to figure out what the he11 they knew!

After reading the tweets from the twits, my reaction is the same as November 2016:

Best

Election

Ever!

Pathetic bunch. They should never be allowed any control of our government. Vote accordingly.

“I’m a guy. I did all these things on election night. My kids were (and still are) terrified. I’m still so volcanically angry…”

Of course your kids are terrified. It always terrifies children to see their parents (who are supposed to supply stability and shelter) behave like infants or become unhinged lunatics. Your “volcanic” anger doesn’t help, either.

Mr Swaggy tweets—

I’m a guy. I did all these things on election night. My kids were (and still are) terrified.

Adopted kids, I presume?

Speaking of dry heaving: a lot less of that around here since daily photos of fashion armpit moooochelle obama have gone the way of her fraud of a fake husband.

Those were painful days.

For our enduring our suffering and for electing The Donald, God rewarded us with Melania Trump.

What scares me so much about these hypersensitive snowflakes is their inability to see anything other than what they want to see. In the case of Trump, how many times have the papers come out with some sort of lie Trump stated only later to be found out that Trump was being honest? How many times has Trump said something minor such as the number of people who attended a rally that the papers blew up into some sort of unforgivable lie? Yes, Trump has more than his fair share of faults, but to turn his faults into something even greater…..
>
On the other side, how can people look at the Obama administration and not conclude that it was inherently dishonest as well as the MSM who covered up many of his lies?
>
The Obama administration was involved in one scandal after another and so many in the public seem incapable of understanding how they were indeed scandals. On top of the scandals, we watched as Obama lied with great regularity, how Obama treated the Constitution as a guidance document, and so forth. And then there was Hillary who I cannot understand why she is not in jail for the list of her (alleged) bad/illegal behavior is extensive and long.
>
How people can only see the evils of Trump, can view the fabricated accusations against Trump as real, and so forth, while rationalizing everything Obama and Clinton did as honest and above board is beyond my comprehension. These are the people I fear for they are over the top emotional while not having a foot in reality. If things really start to go bad, then what will these people do and how do the rest of us deal with them?

SeekingRationalThought | July 22, 2018 at 7:26 am

These people are to be pitied, not made the focus of jokes. As difficult as it is not to make fun of them, they are less than competent and functional and have difficulty in coping with every day life, let alone serious things. . That being said, they can still make us poor or get us all killed if they get their way and therefore must be stopped.

kenoshamarge | July 22, 2018 at 10:23 am

Good lord, what a bunch of DramaMammas!

Some people grow up and mature while these poor little things simply remain adolescents. Adolescents are fighting raging hormones and a body changing before their eyes so there is a biological excuse/reason.

With these people it’s just stupidity and a pathetic cry for attention.

The #WeKnew tweets remind me of those parody Civil War II letters that were going around a few weeks ago.

What did they know? “We knew” means that something they feared that night has now come true. What is it? What has Trump done, according to them, that could possibly cause a woman who saw it coming to throw up, sob on the bathroom floor, dry heave trying to imagine how to tell her kids what had happened, and not be able to stop physically shaking? The boy who feared “they” were “gonna make people slaves again”, what did he know? Has this happened?

I understand their feelings at the result; I had similar feelings four and eight years earlier. But I’m at a loss to understand this claim to have predicted some actual event.
