Was Melania Trump’s Jacket Appropriate? (READER POLL)

“I really don’t care. Do U?”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4CqpuNQLNk

Oh boy. First Lady Melania Trump made news this morning when she made an unannounced trip to the border to tour facilities. Unfortunately, her jacket has received all the attention.

As Melania boarded the plane to Texas, she wore a jacket that says, “I really don’t care. Do U?”

Melania’s office insists there is no hidden message:

I don’t know about you, but I think she wore it to troll the media. President Donald Trump said this as well:

However, I also believe it wasn’t the correct way to troll due to the sensitive nature of the trip. She visited a facility and stressed she wanted to learn what she could do to help reunite the children with their families.

I discussed this issue on my Facebook page. A few of my liberal (yes, LIBERAL!) friends and I thought maybe someone on her staff sabotaged her. We floated the idea that someone put the jacket on Melania and didn’t know about it until it was too late.

Either way, my friends and I are giving her the benefit of the doubt. Yes, my liberal friends even did so! But if done on purpose, we agreed that this was not the trip to do so. The good that came out of her trip is now almost forgotten over a $39 Zara jacket.

But we want to know what you think. Was it appropriate?

I think that this beleaguered woman has the right to do or say anything she wants to. The way she has been mistreated by the msm and the hollywood P’sOS she should get a free ride with anything she does. BUT…… considering where she just visited and the mood of the country based on all of the lies spread by you know who, it might have been a poor choice of jackets. I understand that she might have been referring to the msm and their insanely harsh comments about her and her family, but in her position, I do not think it was her best moment. One of the great things about her is that she seems to have avoided getting pulled into some of the gutter talk and that is to her credit.

If she had worn a jacket with DeNiro’s epithet on it, then that would have been a bit too far (but even then justified) But this? This was an absolutely perfect message to send to the people who hate her and who hate her children.

      She did Good.

      Better than this.

Stunning Confirmation: Judicial Watch Obtains IRS Documents Showing McCain Staff Urging IRS To Target Tea Party Groups…
It has long been suspected; the footprints and fingerprints were always present; McCain repeatedly denied it…. now the evidence surfaces.

For those who remember the issues when the IRS, White House and DOJ organized the post 2010 election “shellacking” targeting of Tea Party groups, the latest discovery from Judicial watch is confirmation of a long-held opinion. John McCain was instrumental in supporting the weaponization of the IRS to target tea party groups.

      The last refuge

Peter Fonda’s learned to keep his mouth shut?

    Beleagured?

    You got the wrong woman.

We may be teetering on the edge of a civil war as the Left calls for, and approved of, violence. Sure, kick a cabinet person out of a restaurant. Call for the abduction of a child. Yell instigating profanities at the Tony’s. Steve Scalise.

Who cares about a jacket.

Hexenjager in reply to unommin. | June 21, 2018 at 6:35 pm

While I abhor violence if it can be reasonably avoided, I’m quickly getting to the point where I hope these idiots do start getting violent. Because once I or my family, or even other innocent people around me, come under attack, all bets are off.

As the old saying goes, “Do you know why I carry a .45? Because they don’t make a .46.”

alaskabob in reply to unommin. | June 21, 2018 at 6:52 pm

There has to be a central “think tank” for the “politburo” of the Left. This agitprop and the synchronization of sound bites have to originate from a central disseminating source. Rush is right in putting the Media as leaders now… making and directing information flow…. but who and where is the central origination? The pictures were not new and would have had to originate within documentation during the Obama years. Who are the puppet masters?

Milhouse in reply to alaskabob. | June 21, 2018 at 8:24 pm

      Journolist.

        oldgoat36 in reply to Milhouse. | June 21, 2018 at 9:38 pm

Seems far more coordinated than that, this smells of planned and orchestrated movement from one outrage to the next with no steps seemingly lost. I am sure that the reporters still have and use that journolist type thing, but this adds the politicians and the usual leftist celebrities and other leaders who go from wave to wave without hesitation. And the way they say things seem to be group tested for effectiveness, as the media pounds away in nearly identical verbiage and images (even though some are from a former regime).

          inspectorudy in reply to oldgoat36. | June 21, 2018 at 11:09 pm

Of course, it was planned. Have you read or seen anything about the FBI/DoJ fabricated attack on Trump lately? That’s what this is all about. Probably started by ben rhodes the msm master storyteller of obama fame! I have been here too long not to know a Demorat maneuver when I smell one!

Didn’t an Obama kid wear something gang related….???

Stray voltage.

Ummm, she wore it when she got on the plane.

She wasn’t wearing it when she got off.

Does anybody else in this world ever change clothes when you get to an event, so that you are appropriately dressed when you arrive? This is news? a $39 jacket?

Milhouse in reply to Chicklet. | June 21, 2018 at 8:42 pm

This. What it really means is lazy reporters assuming that they can look at photos taken hours earlier and assume what happens later.

This is far from the first time they’ve done this; it’s not even the first time they’ve done it with Mrs Trump. Remember when she boarded a plane wearing shoes that were clearly inappropriate for her destination, and barrels of virtual ink were spilled criticizing her for it, and then someone looked at the photos of her actually at the destination, and discovered to their embarrassment that she was wearing the right shoes?

Actually what this reminds me of is Bush’s “plastic turkey” incident, especially the reporter who was so dumb as to forget about time zones, and reported that Bush had woken up the soldiers at some ungodly hour in order to pretend to have Thanksgiving dinner with him.

      oldgoat36 in reply to Milhouse. | June 21, 2018 at 9:44 pm

I don’t think they even care when they are wrong, it doesn’t matter to them if they are dishonest, it’s about setting the staged outrage and condemnation first, then maybe correcting later in small print. It is to stir up trouble, not to report correctly or honestly.

Look at almost everything they are doing these days. It happens far too often to be just mistakes or lazy coverage. It is agenda driven, it is to condemn so the idiots who always love to rant and rage have new fuel to add to their fire and vitriol. Once a story is told by the news, that is the source and the thing believed by these SJW types. They don’t care about the truth or facts, they care about how outraged they make others.

Rick in reply to Milhouse. | June 21, 2018 at 9:48 pm

Too bad Bush did not come to his own defense.

Vascaino in reply to Milhouse. | June 22, 2018 at 7:50 am

When is it going to dawn on people that the media are looking for anything as an excuse to ridicule those they oppose?
They are worse that a certain religion of peace of being offended.
      MSM – Malicious stream media.

Paul In Sweden in reply to Chicklet. | June 22, 2018 at 8:03 am

The MSM did the same lazy reporting when POTUS & Melania Trump left the White House wearing high heels to board Marine One only to exit Air Force One in the Gulf wearing more suitable footwear for the hurricane disaster area visit.

President Donald J. Trump said it is a reference to fake news. I *almost* feel sorry for the left. Every story the leftists have either falls apart or is going to fall apart. They pinned their hopes on mueller early on. I think some are now coming to the realization mueller is another house of cards. I think there will be true pain for them once mueller comes up empty, resulting in rioting, self harm, and many other acts of violence and destruction. I hope I’m wrong but the msm is leading these lemmings over the cliff.

Gremlin1974 | June 21, 2018 at 6:35 pm

Wow, seriously, the left really are just petty children aren’t they?

Imagine if the NYT was reporting on Egyptian news….. “Jews’ Exodus Leaves Suffering In Wake… first born hardest hit”

Nothing changes… reporting on motes while ignoring beams.

Whether or not she meant it, it’s sad to see how significant it is to too many people. Guess there must be something to be outraged over. What a sad testament to this day and age.

Yep. I’ve got to wonder, where does this fall on a scale of 1 to posting a picture of herself smiling with her kid?

    Oh. Who’m I kidding. It’s always an 11.

After the horrible things people urged to have happen to her child and other family members, she can wear whatever jacket she wants in my book.

I don’t think I’m some kind of radical in saying this, either.

These nattering naybobs of negativity (I miss William Safire) step over their own rotting carcass of beheaded Trump, burn down the white house Trump, riot in the street Trump, riot on campus Trump, Trump is literally Hitler Trump, f^ck Trump, feckless c^nt Trump, kidnap son of Trump to complain about an article of clothing worn by FLOTUS.

I despise these people.

Her jacket says “I really don’t care. Do U?” because unlike, say, me, she’s too polite to wear one saying “Fuck You!”

    katiejane in reply to tom_swift. | June 21, 2018 at 8:37 pm

Absolutely – that comment was mild to what I would have given her a pass for wearing. None of the children were affected by it – how many of these “poor innocent children can read in Spanish let alone English?

    notamemberofanyorganizedpolicital in reply to tom_swift. | June 21, 2018 at 9:59 pm

    But she could wear this.

    “Media go Fonda Yourself.”

She wore the jacket to and from her flight. BFD. She didn’t wear it in Texas, she wasn’t wearing it when she actually visited the facility in Texas. So no… I really don’t care.

This is one tough woman – and sharp as a razor.

Screw ’em if they can’t take a joke. Right, Fonda?

I really don’t care what she wears. Do U?

Starting to think that we may start seeing these jackets in public. Wouldn’t that be nice?

It’s June. The temps are warm. Why wear a jacket?

BTW: she can wear anything she wants. She still looks great.

Another Voice | June 21, 2018 at 10:05 pm

As it stands with the way the media rakes her over, It’s “Damn if She Does; Damned If She Don’t”.
At this point, what the hell…Wear the Damn Coat!!!!

Does it really matter? If it wasn’t the jacket the media would find something else to complain about. Whatever good she does, it’ll never be written about.

Full Mental Troll. Love it. Makes Jacobin Cat Lovers Head Explode.

Um, she’s going up the jetway, not down, so she’s boarding the plane to depart …

And that jacket will be sold out and back-ordered by Tuesday morning.

One of the most simple and important lessons I have learned in life….

When a dog urinates on a fire hydrant, he is not committing an act of vandalism, he’s simply being a dog.

Maybe they’d have been happier if she had worn a Che! shirt.

Why do you insist on playing the lefts game? FFS they’ve gone from howling about the greatest humanitarian crisis ever to a g/d jacket in less than 24hours.

JHC these aren’t serious people…ignore them.

Nine days’ wonder…..now reduced to 36 hours.
The next shiny object will be here shortly.

I don’t disagree with all of these posts, but let me swim against the tide for a bit. My mom always said “there is a time and place for everything.” After all of the absolutely manufactured outrage and Leftist hypocrisy over the child separation lies, I think Melania’s statement was an unforced error.

I appreciate Trump’s trolling of the media at every opportunity. He is the master. I just don’t see Melania’s role as Assistant Troll.

Now, club me like a baby seal!

Vascaino in reply to Redneck Law. | June 22, 2018 at 8:15 am

If it was an error it was certainly forced after Fonda’s threats.
Try an imagine her thoughts given the nuts running loose, answering all the dog whistles.

I downvoted you but you did make me laugh!!!

txvet2 in reply to Redneck Law. | June 22, 2018 at 10:33 am

I wonder what you’d be saying if they treated your Mom like they treat her. This is pretty mild stuff in comparison – as it always is.

lgbmiel in reply to Redneck Law. | June 22, 2018 at 12:12 pm

Time and place for everything…and I agree. So, no clubbing, just a question.

When is FLOTUS Melania’s time and place?

In my opinion, lovely Melania has never, never been dressed inappropriately — including this time.

kenoshamarge | June 22, 2018 at 9:41 am

More fodder for the howling mob. I don’t care.

Has anyone noticed that her shoelaces were black. Doesn’t that make her a racist???

Melania will NEVER win with the press, no matter what they do. They are going to tear her down no matter what.
The fact that they’re having a snit fit over this jacket proves how obsessed they are with finding things about her to criticize.

MajorWood in reply to HamiltonNJ. | June 22, 2018 at 10:54 am

And how empty their own lives are. As my dad said, always check to see if your actions are directed towards achievement, or are simply activity to fill time.

I think a jacket that states “Good people have no issues with me” would really call out the press for who they are.

boattailinjection | June 22, 2018 at 1:26 pm

All I know for sure is That full length coat on Melania would have looked like a Vest on moochele. Otherwise, I don’t care!

What say you, Judy?

I Don’t Care

The first thing i thought was it was a very public statement about Stormy Daniels. I still do. It was not about the children being used as political props.

I take it a a big “DeNiro” finger at the media. It may have been bad optics, but for meaning, Hillary’s choice of orange jumpsuit during the “wipe the computer” press conference conveyed much more meaning than this.
