Rainbow Flag

And get off my grass!

Considering the depravity of the past few days, I thought this would be a good time for an update.

The featured image is the view tonight looking south from my backyard in Rhode Island. A hopeful sign.

The seawall is done, and hopefully will not result in a repeat of last winter’s Nor’easter wash-overs.

There was so much damage to the backyard from the construction equipment and digging, that we had to hydroseed.

Not even three weeks later, you know what that means?

GET OFF MY GRASS

In other news, I’ll be “at” Cornell this fall, but not at Cornell. The law school Dean kindly has agreed that I can teach my classes remotely, if needed, so I can spend more time in Rhode Island with the wife, who continues to struggle.

So I may have to take a raincheck on the numerous offers by Legal Insurrection readers visiting Ithaca to buy me $4 lattes.

We showed mini K her first rainbow yesterday, a perfect promise. And this is a great pic.

Beautiful pic.

Best wishes to your wife.

Finally, you call that a seawall? Ha. Come to the south shore of MA and I’ll show you a seawall:)

That’s not a rainbow flag (I have seen them everywhere this month).

That’s Old Glory with a wonderful rainbow! ‘Tis a very hopeful sign.

I will stay off your grass.

Best wishes and prayers for the wonderful wife.

May the renewed shoreline and sod inspire your wife and you. Here’s hoping for better days ahead!

People with this talent for building walls where the rocks all fit together — I wish I had it!

Prayers for you and your wife.
The wall and lawn look great.
So appreciative of you and your work!

All my best to Mrs. Jacobson!

That seawall is beautiful … and a metaphor.
