Al Franken Announces He’ll Resign from the Senate in the Coming Weeks

And he’s not happy about it

Sen. Al Franken is scheduled to give a speech this morning at 11:45 ET from the Senate floor. He’s expected to resign from his office.

The allegations of sexual misconduct continue to pile up with no end in sight.

Franken apologized for any behavior that has made women feel uncomfortable, but in the post-Weinstein world, that’s simply not enough for many.

Watch the announcement live:

Important:

When Franken formally resigns, Minnesota’s governor will appoint a replacement.

His entire career always was just a bad joke.

From the start, his career in the Senate was more like a nightmare for the American people.

Remember, this asshat was only elected through proven voter fraud, and without his vote the partial-birth-abortion known as Obamacare would never have passed.

his sour grapes make for poor whine.

The life of a US Senator: The Struggle is real!!

Glad the blowhard is gone. Sadly we will have to listen to him on TV.

Is it still The Al Franken Decade?

what a waste of time. How many people had to be there for that? What was the cost. That dumbass just cost us 500 G by doing that in the Senate chambers.

Stuart Smalley: “You know what? I think this is the best show I’ve ever done. And you know what? I deserve it! Because I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and, doggonit, people like me![*]”

Except for all those girls whose names I won’t mention.

Crappy comedian, worse senator, atrocious human being – good riddance!

A bully always thinks he is the victim.

My message to Al: “…and the horse you rode in on.”

didn’t do anything, and besides, The President and Judge Moore made me do it.

“I have done nothing disgraceful as a Senator. All my disgraceful activities were beforehand, when I was merely an entertainer and pundit at Air America. I shall resign from the Senate just as soon as we all leave for our winter recess so nobody will be around to accept it.”

This is just a sacrifice play for the good of the team.

Unfortunately the Muzzie will replace him I think

Today, December 7, 2017 — a date which will live in infamy — Senator Stuart Smalley’s career inched closer to the end after 7 women armed with Twitter accounts bombed his career with accusations of non-consensual groping.

OK, it’s not quite as important as Pearl Harbor being bombed and I’m no FDR, but it will be easy to remember the date Smalley announced his intent to resign.

The left’s leadership is populated by some rather sick people.

How’s this for sick? (This story just broke:)

OBAMA COMPARES TRUMP TO HITLER, IMPLIES AMERICA LIKE 1930S NAZI GERMANY:

Once again: the left projects itself.

As we have seen by his corruption of our government and his use of its enforcement arms to persecute American political opponents, America could not have gotten more of an American hitler than little barry, or his planned successor, hillary klinton.

Traitor. Fraud. Perv-enabler. obama is an all-around sick bastard.

It is an affront to the truth for Franken, the Dems, MSM and NeverTrumpers to constantly repeat the false mantra that Trump admitted to sexual assault. Trump stated what anyone that has watched or read about groupie or celebrity hounding gold diggers, if you are famous or wealthy or even have a fancy car women(some)will consent or even encourage to engaging in various sexual activities beyond first base.

Franken has not resigned nor has he apologized. The best I gathered that he did was to say a while back that he was shocked that this could happen to him. Imagine democrats actually being brought forth to face their transgressions.

Never thought I would see the day when a liberal Democrat actually had to face the consequences of his actions.

May Liz Warren be next.

Perhaps he’ll run for President with Jill Stein as his running mate.

False alarm. He’s still there. Resigning in the coming weeks? Uh-huh. I’m certainly not going to take his word for anything.

What torpedoed him was the photo. That’s what’s missing in all the other cases we’re being bombarded with. If you’re going to be a jerk, don’t pose for the camera when you do it.

The slacker is staying until January, to get another year on his pension. What a fraud. My bet is that he reverses his thought after Roy Moore is seated and says he is staying until Moore resigns. Quite obvious, Frankenstein is not to be trusted. He should have his pension removed.

Pure Theater, as soon as Moore wins in Alabama he will turn around and pull back his resignation promise and use the excuse that Moore and Trump didn’t resign; “Why should I?”

Now, America has the vile anti-Semite and Islamic supremacist, Keith “Hakim” Ellison, to look forward to as Franken’s reputed replacement. The same worthless, career pol and demagogue who casually stated to an audience, a few years ago, that Israel was allegedly using the U.S. as an “ATM machine,” thus regurgitating despicable anti-Semitic and anti-Israel canards. THIS is the reprobate that the Dumb-o-crats saw fit to promote to a plumb Party leadership position, and, who the Minnesota governor sees fit to appoint to the U.S. Senate.t

I believe every word aqainst Franken. Why? It is entirely consistent with the persona he presented to the public. The behavior is the kind of behavior he joked about in his career.

Nevertheless I object to his forced removal ( even though I am glad to see him go ).

When the voters chose him they knew what he was and they chose him anyway.

While I agree that the trend of people losing their livelihood and/or position for mere accusations is wrong on many levels.

No one is “forcing” Franken to resign, which by the way he hasn’t actually done. If Franken chose to stay in the Senate then there is crap all anyone could do about it other than the Senate itself expelling him and there is no actual chance of that happening. So far this is nothing but theater.

Pelosi should resign.

Democrat Lawmaker Claims Pelosi Knew About Sexual Harassment Allegations Last Year, yet Still Campaigned for Him

Pathetic how he complained about having to get up early to vote on things. Such a martyr and victim- NOT!

I see the Reverend Jesse Jackson now has been sucked up by the sexual harassment ‘snowball that destroys all in it’s path’

I’m willing to be to bet it plays out like this. In a few weeks or months, after all the furor has died down, Franken will return to the podium to announce that his constituents have been demanding that he stay and do the people’s business, and so he has reluctantly decided he must stay in the congress for the sake of the poor, the downtrodden, and the women he hasn’t assaulted yet.

Franken will not resign.

Don’t you hate it when a drunk states he’s FINALLY leaving (he’s last to leave the party) but instead of actually leaving stands in the open doorway just about forever while freezing cold air and blowing snow get blown into the house?
