Huma Abedin Divorcing Minor-Sexting Weiner

It’s over

Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner are done.

Friday, CNN reported Abedin had filed for divorce prior to Weiner pleading guilty to sexting a minor.

Huma Abedin has filed for divorce from former Rep. Anthony Weiner, a move she made prior to Weiner pleading guilty Friday to transferring obscene material to a minor, a source familiar with the matter told CNN.

Abedin, a top aide to former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, was not present at Friday’s hearing.
A message left with a representative for Abedin seeking comment Friday morning was not returned.

After one of Weiner’s last sexting scandals was made public, the couple separated but later reconciled. Weiner was in counseling.

Whatever purpose this marriage served in the Clinton Master Plan is apparently no longer valid.

Wow!
That totally came out of nowhere!

He won’t fight jail time of 2 years so I’m guessing the fix is in. Sentenced to 2 years and a fine, out after 9 months of good behavior.
I’m kind of hoping if the above occurs, he gets a kinky cellmate for those long cold nights.

All right … what’s the legal rationale in a case like this for the four month delay before sentencing?

Since the judge can sentence him to prison time for as much as 10 years but the prosecutors have agreed to recommend just 27 months, I suspect the delay is for time for federal officials to complete a full pre-sentence investigation and report, to inform the judge who will be exercising sentencing discretion that is so vast. Just a guess.

Your honor, I thought I had complete control but it got loose and you know what that’s like. That’s right, a loose fire hose.
