Two days ago, we reported Donny Deutsch predicting that stories damaging to Donald Trump involving women would be emerging. We wondered out loud: “was this pure speculation on Donny’s part, or did a little birdie inside the Clinton campaign tell him something?”
And sure enough—just one day later—broke the hot mic story of Trump making crude and lewd comments about one woman in particular and women in general. So sure looks like Donny did know something. In any case, appearing on today’s With All Due Respect, Donny declared: “let the record show, at 4:01pm on October 7th, this election ended—when this Washington Post story broke.”
What do readers think?
Is Deutsch right: does this story deal Trump’s candidacy a fatal blow? He apologized for the comments, yet there are calls for him to step aside. Or is it in the nature of the countless other negative stories about him that have appeared without seeming to slow the Donald down?

I can’t find any humor in the situation, although I wish I could. Perhaps, if Trump hadn’t already established such a track record concerning other matter. then this revelation wouldn’t have as great of an import. As we know, such is not the case.
Never have I seen a candidate for the presidency do so much to damage his own campaign. I think in the minds of any number of people, if they are among the undecideds, it will be all the more difficult to pull the lever for him. For those “softly” in his corner, he may lose some votes.
At one point, earlier in the campaign, I expressed the view of him dropping out and Mike Pence becoming the presidential candidate. Now, it just may be too late.
The whole damn campaign has been a joke. Trouble is it not funny, not funny at all because the joke has been on us. I wish Trump had only been doing Bill Clinton impressions.
It is not a joke when a man, about one month after announcing his candidacy, brings the families of those killed by illegal aliens to a press conference and gives them the floor.
No other candidate did that. None.
He’s not a joke, he’s a good American.
Taken by itself, the deed was no joke and admirable. However, it alone is not going to win the election. However, with all the hoopla he’s created (yes, he’s had the willing assistance of the MSM), it’s difficult to remember the good and say, “I want this man in the Oval Office.”

Any number of people with whom I’ve spoke, react viscerally about Trump. “How can I vote for such a person?” This has been a fairly common question. And, this was before the current story.
Unless there is some counteraction to nullify what he has said, the election is all but over. The is the saying, “What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.” Unfortunately, for Trump, he has not taken this to heed.
In politics, one can give up only so much political ground and after that it’s difficult, if not impossible, to get it back. My is that Trump is at this point. Of curse, my view and a $1.50 will get you a cup of coffee.

Nothing is more important than preventing the continued decline of the United States, and the deaths of Americans at the hands of foreigners such as illegal aliens and muslims. As long as I know Trump is better for my fellow Americans (in this and so many other ways), I have no moral right to vote for someone else. I owe my fellow Americans sobriety in my voting.
Next, as someone that has been a single white female my entire life, let me just say, the desire he expresses isn’t unusual from men. They may not say a word, but by their behavior, I know they want to “get” whatever they can. I just have to plan and act accordingly. Men and women are different, and that’s all there is to it. There will be a vocal, well-organized liberal opposition with which he will want to make deals anyway, new Trumpist minority party and conservatives trying to regroup. This isn’t about the election, this is about the future of America. The Texas Patriots Tea Party and other conservative groups have been trying to take part in the election since 2012 and are still being blocked by the IRS.

I wonder if people realize that if we keep on this destructive path, how much blood will be running in the streets. I don’t know why, I just feel it, the sleeping dragon has woken up. This election is the turning point. If this election does not turn the direction of our country around and correct the course. If it is already too late. I fear there will be another civil war. The anti-Trump factions are touting this as a game changer. It isn’t. The first thing that has to be understood about the current contest is that it has NOTHING to do with the character of the participants. The real contest is between those who wish to maintain the status quo, in politics, and those who want to change it. And, as Trump is the only candidate who is even remotely likely to change the political status quo, he is not going to lose any support. And, the Clinton campaign knows this.
The whole reason behind the release of this 10 year old recording is to defuse the traction that the “Bill is a rapist and Hillary supported him” meme is gaining. Hillary is supposed to be the protector and supporter of women and children and the Bill the predator meme is undermining that. The Trump “expose” is designed to mitigate that damage, not to indict Trump. Though the Clinton campaign would be happy if it cost him some support.
This is imply another sign of the desperation of the Clinton campaign.

Actually, this election ended almost a decade ago. In 2008 to be exact. That was when the US elected its very own version of Robert Mugabe – a totalitarian thug willing to incite racial violence for political gain. Since his ascension to power Obama has weaponized the IRS, turned the FBI into a private secret police force, opened our borders by granting illegal amnesty to lawbreakers, elevated voting fraud to Third World levels, made health care unaffordable for millions who previously had access to it, deliberately strengthened Islamist governments abroad, and started a race war in some of our major cities. How long can self-government survive in those circumstances? No candidate – even someone not named Trump – stood a chance this year.
For those who are chortling over Trump’s impending demise it is good to remind you of two things. The first is that no Republican was going to win the White House in 2016. The template the MSM/DNC axis is using against Trump would also have been used against Cruz, Bush, Graham, or anyone else the Stupid Amnesty Party nominated. Here is a 100% guarantee: in 2020 the MSM/DNC axis will suddenly discover a “strange new respect” for Trump, and use that to beat up whomever Republicans will nominate. I’m confused. Not the first time nor most likely the last. Is there absentee voting now ongoing? Also, is there any place that is already early voting? I ask this because if there is either of these, how could the ballot be changed? Isn’t too late, regardless of whether Trump was somehow forced to resign or did so voluntarily?
There is some early voting already happening. While most states have a 15-day early voting window, others have more generous ones ranging from 29 to about 35 up to 45 days. The latter, of course, fall in the “happening now” category. These states include Vermont and Ohio. Ballots cannot be changed in most states at this point, so if Trump drops (he’s adamant he won’t), the Trump/Pence ticket would be muddied. If he quits this late in the game, it’s brand new territory.

Good question. We need more clarifications re early voting and write-in.
Write-ins are even more problematic than early voting (which has started in only a few states so far). Each state has different write-in requirements, but most require that the write-in candidate file along with the other candidates after obtaining X number of signatures or whatever the given state requires. For example, I live in Florida, and there are a handful of write-in candidates who can be written in and counted because they filed in time to “make” the ballot; however, writing in some other candidate not already recognized as a viable write-in will result in a void vote (no vote at all).

This is truely amazing. Not what so much what Trump said but how quickly the haters are willing to jump all over and use it as a justification for their hate.
So now let us take a look at the clip. There are two aspects to what he said: the way he said it, and what he said.
Those objecting to the way he said it. Hmm. Names come to mind, Truman, Johnson, Nixon. Oh yes and Hillary. I don’t know if it is a standard technique anymore, but it used to be a technique of interviewing for jobs. Use such language and see what reaction you’ll get. It’s not the first time I’ve heard it, I doubt it will be the last. I pretty much don’t let it bother me and doubt many others do to. After all he wasn’t speaking in church and you know what, I doubt he’ll use such language in his State of the Union speeches.
As for what he said. That comes down to three parts. The first being the most disturbing, where he admits to pursuing a married woman. Men talking about pursuing women. Wow that’s a revelation. Let’s get to the heart of the matter. Pursuing a married woman.
I will grant it is troubling, but let us compare. In the clip, he speaks in a jocular regretful manner. He accepted no as an answer, unlike some politicians do not accept no for an answer. We also don’t know if he was married at the time the pursuit happened. We know that at the time he talked about it, he was recently married. It is highly unlikely that the pursuit happened after he was married. Surprisingly, no one has identified the woman. A woman he took furniture shopping, and later got breast implants. I wonder why?
In the second part, he talks about how he lost respect for this woman later when she got “fake tits”. I think men here won’t be surprise to find that many men find them unappealing, and women who use them for purely aesthetic reasons as shallow. Guess what ladies, we do. From what I hear most women’s judgments are even more critical.
In the third part he expresses surprise at what women allow men to do once the men are famous. No surprise there. His observation is one that any rock star or athlete will tell you. Even the ones that are in stable faithful marriages. I don’t know what the athletes call them, but rock stars call them groupies. Grand Funk Railroad sang about them. So did Karen Carpenter.
Richard Feynman, Nobel laureate and savior of the Space Shuttle program talked about it extensively in his biography “Surely You’re Joking, Mr. Feynman.” He goes so far as to even try out a ( successful ) experiment to see if “good girls” exchange sex for favors.
None of this qualifies him for Pope, but none of it reveals anything that we didn’t know about him already. Nor does it reveal anything that is more distasteful then politicians past and present.
One final thought. Watch the new polls come out with Trump falling fast. This as the number of Democrats in said polls jumps from 11% more than Republicans to 30% more.

Trump needs to do well – very well – in the Sunday debate or go down 0-2 with only one remaining. I’d call that pressure. Let’s see how he responds.
If past performance is any indication, I wouldn’t get my hopes up. I don’t see him as being able to meet the challenges. Moreover, the general electorate is being met with such images and emotion that their perceptions can only be negative.
Now, we can argue about what we think they should or should not do, or how they ought to view these matters. However, for millions of them, they are going to get only snippets which they are not going to take hours and hours to evaluate. Simply, I would imagine that Trump is not tolerable for them and is, perhaps, viewed as less likeable than Hillary.
And, make no mistake about this. I do hope Trump proves me wrong. However, I have my strong doubts.

I’m no fan of these “hot mic” moments since its seems to me like its going to lead to hidden microphones attached to every lamp. That said, To say that “Trump said it but Bill Clinton did it” ignores that Trump is bragging that this is in fact what he did and also overlooks that by the end of Bill Clinton’s second term, many people were pretty disgusted with his behavior and just split on whether impeachment was warranted.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was able to overcome his similar quotes / antics in the “pumping iron” documentary and go on and win the California governor’s race, so I think its a little early to write Trump off just due to this one incident. But it is hard to make the “young and foolish” argument about stuff that happened when you were 60 or so, and once a pattern of behavior is established in the voters minds its nearly impossible to shake.
If only this video has been released a year earlier we could have had a Cruz & Pence ticket. Think what we could have accomplished with those two as Pres and VP…instead we have to rely on a man like Trump to save us from Hillary.

Well, okay. But, here’s the thing. Unless “Henry Hawkins” is a pen name and you actually are a celeb with wide, wide positive public recognition, I’d stay, “Don’t quit your day job!” Otherwise, Pence/Hawkins would be fine by me.
People losing their minds over what Donald Trump “said” in comparison to what Hillary Clinton “did”. No wonder this country is turning into a banana republic, you people are brain dead. Tell me when Trump says something mean/sexist enough to kill 4 Americans then I won’t vote for him. SMH.
This has nothing to do with Clinton. The comparison is not between Trump and Clinton. The problem is Trump supporters who can live with this further evidence that Trump is an immature adult and those who cannot live with it.

The fact that people imagine guys don’t talk to each other in private, about women, like this?
The fact that people don’t understand that guys with tons of charisma, fame, power and/or money practically have women fall in their lap, willing to do damn near anything?
The fact that people are using a private conversation from a man who’s exes still admire, support, and praise him, who hires more women, and treats/pays them better than the “women’s” candidate, as proof that he has nothing else of substance to his personality? I wonder what we could get off of private recordings of Bill Clinton on his trips with providers of underage prostitutes….

Yes Henry Hawkins brain-dead. It’s all utter PC bullshito and you know it and so does every one else. We can keep going down the faux outrage like the liberals want, playing that game until extinction or we can go back to free speech and no longer having to look out for fear of offending someone. If you wish to bring back puritanical New England as a political entity then go right ahead enjoy the buckled boots and being controlled by the church. I believe it was during the Clinton administration we found out that “personal lives are personal” or some such thing.
So that applies to Trump in this instance.
Of course, Clinton was impeached for lying under oath, not for getting “sumtin'” in the Oval Office with an intern. You know, things that would send a non-political person to jail if they were the employer.
And more and more information comes forward about how Hillary covered, via a variety of ways, for Bill. Including intimidation.
