Does President Obama consider Republicans a greater threat than the Muslim Brotherhood?

Does President Obama consider Republicans a greater threat than the Muslim Brotherhood?

President Obama denies College Republicans the same respect he gave the Muslim Brotherhood four years ago in Cairo.

Last week the College Fix reported that a group of College Republicans were turned away from from a speech that President Obama was giving on their campus, despite the fact that they had purchased tickets. (h/t InstaPundit)

Ten College Republicans were dubbed a security threat and refused admittance to President Barack Obama’s speech at the University of Central Missouri on Wednesday.

Despite the fact that the students had tickets to the event, security personnel turned them away at the door to the recreation center where Obama gave a speech on economic policy, telling the group it wasn’t about their politics but the president’s safety, State Treasurer of the College Republicans Courtney Scott told The College Fix.

The students, some of whom donned Tea Party T-Shirts and others who wore patriotic or Republican-inspired clothing, had protested the president earlier in the day on campus, but had put away their signs and said they were ready to simply listen to Obama when security shut them down – and even told them to leave the vicinity and stay several hundred yards away from the rec center.

Four years ago, President Obama went to speak in Cairo. Though it couldn’t have pleased his host, former Egyptian dictator, Hosni Mubarak, he insisted on certain guests attending his speech.

A sign that the Obama administration is willing to publicly challenge Egypt’s commitment to parliamentary democracy: various Middle Eastern news sources report that the administration insisted that at least 10 members of the Muslim Brotherhood, the country’s chief opposition party, be allowed to attend his speech in Cairo on Thursday. The brotherhood is a Salafist/ Islamist party with branches in many countries, and it does not have a reputation for liberalism and has supported violent campaigns against Israel (and Egypt’s own government).

The President supported a group of Islamists who supported democracy only until they were elected; perhaps emboldening them to later impose their will on Egypt beyond the bounds of their mandate. But Americans who accept the same premises of democracy as the President but differ in how to govern, were dismissed out of hand.

Do you recall how the Washington Post described candidate Obama prior to his first election?

He is deliberate but not indecisive; eloquent but a master of substance and detail; preternaturally confident but eager to hear opposing points of view.

What happened in Missouri is just one more example of how false that description was. Obama is not at all eager to hear what the opposition has to say.

Par for the course (pun intended).

What I found most outrageous is that these young people (Secret Service?) said they were “dangerous” and that it was about “safety of the president.”

That is defamation – not about “politics” …. so they looked like terrorists, why?! Were they “profiled” due to their clothing?!?! Really?!?! Like a “hoodie”?! How the h*ll could they even be “terrorists” when they let CODE PINK p*kes into these things?!?! When they endorse and PRAISE known threats and neo-terrorists AKA “Occupy”?!?!

Fuming. I’m fuming!!

People, time to wake up: anyone who disagrees with this administration, or is considered a “tea party” type, is now AN ENEMY OF THE STATE, whether they will admit it or not. Whether they publicly reject the “news” reports, retract the written DHS reports, etc., or not, this ONLY happens when security sees a group of people as a credible threat.

Be prepared.

Yes, he does because small government conservatives and libertarians are working to oppose Obama’s worldview, one which has many points in common with a caliphate based Islam.

>>”Does President Obama consider Republicans a greater threat than the Muslim Brotherhood?”

Yes. But it’s more than that. The Muslim Brotherhood operates within his sphere of understanding and human sympathy. Republicans, most especially young republicans, are completely outside it and beneath contempt.

Q. What’s the difference between the Obama Administration and the Muslim Brotherhood.
A. One believes that they have a mandate from the people to impose sharia on the country despite Constitutional limits to their power, and the other….oh wait, there is no difference.

SHAMEFUL. Just freaking SHAMEFUL.

Ain’t we blessed to have a Infantile Monarch who isn’t capable of feeling the word?

The better part of Barry the Bastard is on a mattress in a dump somewhere in Kenya.

Now you see the result on another administration decision by Barry O and the secret service last year: “They” decided that at any time at any “political” event they can ban anyone they want to as they choose. Not problem keeping republicans away from barry.

Also, Barry is ;fully supportive of the muslim brotherhood. He supported those “fighting for freedom” when Egypt had it’s last president. Now with a muslim brotherhood former president he say nothing.

He will continue to support islamists and sharia law being put into place world wide.

Yes, he fears the repblicans more than the brothehood

yuck, just yuck. reading the sycophantic WaPo quote again made me vomit into my mouth a tad… again as it does every time I read it. they really should hand out “Forward!” branded knee-pads to the press… I can imagine the WaPo writers/editors got a little ‘tingle’ when writing that blurb. what a fantasy… a nightmare to more specific.

Yes, Obama does consider Republicans a greater threat than the Muslim Brotherhood. That won’t change.

How many times has Obama called those of us who disagree with him on any issue enemies? How many times has he debased us for holding our Constitution in high regard and thinking for ourselves? The fault is with Obama, he truly does view anyone who thinks differently from him as enemies.

I have a hard time faulting the Secret Service. They’re trying to do their jobs under difficult circumstances. When doing the right thing angers your boss, what do you do?

David Gerstman has included a link to Instapundit in which Glenn Reynolds offers some suggestions for how to deal with the situation. The more of those suggestions that are implemented, the more likely we just might see a slight improvement. I hope all those students become very real legal threats.

Well, it looks like a likely candidate for a congressional oversight hearing. Darrell Issa doesn’t seem to be too busy, so….

A bunch of unarmed college kids in tea party shirts are a security threat. This is really rich. I suppose Obama would turn to stone if he saw them, kind of like looking at Medusa.

Why pick on obama? He’s henpecked enough. 2014 is pelosi’s ride! She dreams of pulling the gavel out of Boehner’s hands. And, I wonder, if she can do this, will she carry a towel on her shoulder, so if she gets “her” gavel back she can wipe off the orange paint?

We are in a very sad state, here. To be a politician means you take yourself and your family. And, you stick everyone inside a tiny fish bowl. Where people with nothing better to do watch you swimming around. And, maybe, throwing in a few bread crumbs?

It’s no way to live!

But, you bet. There are “contestants.” And, they will do anything they have to do … to hit the limelight.

Maybe? It’s like being a comedian. Where you’re performing in front of heavily sedated drunks … And, you just don’t want the waiter taking drink orders, when you come to your punch line?

Don Rickles handled this best. He tried to insult a waiter. So he asked the fool “what’s your name.” The waiter stared blankly at him for a few breaths … Getting Rickles all juiced into calling him a moron. When the waiter turned, and with one hand, pulled back on the back of his pants. And, said “FRUIT OF THE LOOM.”

Rickles started laughing.

Do you know how good you have to be on your timing to get a comedian, doing his show, to break down and laugh?

Obama is a politician. He wants to gain traction selling his speeches after he leaves office for a minimum of $100,000 a pop. Sometimes, ya just need a better vision of REALISM.

And yet, if we do find ourselves with another Republican President, I bet he wont clean out any of the wasps hiding in government agencies. In order to restore trust, the nutty ideologues have to be removed. So, I don’t see any change, unless we get someone willing to perform a healthy and necessary purge.

The litmus test for President Man Child’s tolerance is tolerance of his anti-American, anti-western philosophy.

We put him in office, even those of us that did not vote for him. 🙁

Republicans and Tea Partiers and others who believe in this country (and not King Obama) need to go to his Nuremberg Rallies wearing gear appropriate for the Obama Jugend, SEIU thugs, New Black Panther Party mugs or Occupy apparatchiks. Then they can start shouting “You lie!” and, in the words of Shillary C., Speak Truth to Power.
