Boehner presser — Obama still being Obama

John Boehner just held a press conference.  I didn’t see it (video now available, embedded below) but the reports are that there is no progress, Obama is still playing Obama.

Via Business Insider:

In a short, approximately four-minute press conference Friday morning, House Speaker John Boehner said there had been “no progress” on the state of negotiations for a deal to avert the so-called “fiscal cliff.”

“This isn’t a progress report, because there is no progress to report,” Boehner said, opening his press conference.

“The White House has wasted another week.”

He said a recent phone call with President Barack Obama was “pleasant,” but “more of the same.” He also called the administration “reckless” for threatening to go over the fiscal cliff. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said he was “absolutely” willing to do this week if the White House didn’t get the deal it wanted, including increased tax rates on incomes above $250,000.

Sounds like he’s jockeying for a “don’t blame us” approach.

Update: The video is now available. It’s a pretty good statement. Maybe he actually understands what Obama is doing.

I saw it. Boehner is pretending to be frustrated that Obama won’t budge. I have no doubt he’s dying to raise the white flag of surrender given his piss poor treatment of Tea Party conservatives this week.

I guess the silver lining is that he did not embarrass his party and the 60 million GOP voters even more by crying at the press conference.

Boehner acted with brutal executive efficiency in culling out the conservatives from his committees. At no point in his entire career has he exercised these skills against the Left. Curious thing, that.

Boehner is an accomplished liar. Trust nothing the man says. Everything with him is theater.

Immediately after the House passed “Cut, Cap, and Balance,” rumors started that Boehner had already dumped it and was giving fellatio to Obama in secret meetings. Boehner went on also Rush Limaugh’s show immediately: “There is no deal.”

Well, turns out Boehner was a liar. There WAS a deal in the works, which Boehner then rammed through with the kind of political brutality one NEVER sees from Republicans for conservative legislation.

Boehner is good at getting things done, when he wants to. Too bad he’s a traitor.

So right. In summer 2011, Boehner lied about not having a Debt Ceiling deal with Obama, and Limbaugh let him get away with it. Several months later, Limbaugh bragged about Boehner at the time giving inside scoop about surrendering to Obama. Limbaugh’s only criticism: Obama lied and didn’t give Republicans credit for surrendering. Shockingly, not even a hint of censure for Boehner and his cowardly capitulation.

George W. Bush, Boehner, Romney (Limbaugh bragged about a “secret meeting” in January 2012 that convinced him Romney would be a godlike president), and God knows who else, play Limbaugh like the high school in-crowd bad boys who get “nice” schoolgirls to put out for them eagerly. These squish dirtbags get Limbaugh (figuratively) to spread his legs with attention and “access”; Limbaugh’s payback is playing along with no real criticism.

Limbaugh has become a huge liability. He was complicit in destroying Gingrich directly (lies, misrepresentations, double standards) and indirectly (endorsing Santorum when it did the most harm by splitting the conservative vote). Like Ann Coulter, Limbaugh is willfully misinterpreting election results to mask his own deceitful complicity, incalculably damaging because people rely on him for “ground truth.”

Limbaugh is all gloom and doom, no strategy to overcome and triumph. His position seems to be, we’ve lost the country and must live under tyranny. Get used to it.

Hopefully, people will start waking up and seeing Limbaugh for the corrupt, mendacious fool into which he has degenerated. If so, Limbaugh will disappear and (surprise!) nobody will really miss him, he has stealthily become that unreliable and treacherous.

Supposedly, Boehner and Obama have negotiated “privately” even though Obama in every speech, public appearance and via dull lapdog Press Secretary Jay Carney, has assured his “fellow Americans” that he intends to raise taxes on everyone. As an added bonus Obama will help the Republican Party self- destruct just in time for Hillary’s run in 2016.
Boehner, instead of at least feigning strength, already caved in, assuring his “fellow Americans” that Republicans will all turn their backs on their constituents who voted them into office to begin with on the promise that their taxes will not be raised. So what are we negotiating?

We are negotiating the amount of blame the GOP will accept.
So guess what, rates will go up. Sequestration will happen. The debt ceiling will remain uncapped. The nation’s credit rating will be downgraded. Welcome to the SECOND TERM.

How you know you live in a tyranny:

Democrats move heaven and earth to enact radical legislation despite massive citizen opposition. Republicans capitulate and abjectly surrender to do the Democrats’ bidding despite massive (potential) citizen support for the opposite.

In short, there is no difference between Boehner and Pelosi anymore. Well, Boehner is more tanned (oy, vey) and better-looking (not that that’s saying much).

Without a budget for the last four years, why are we even discussing a “fiscal cliff” or account deficits? It should be clear by now that Obama does not care about diminishing purchasing power and especially reducing the value of labor. His defense rests in manipulation of perception and appealing to people’s base nature. His kind have repeatedly demonstrated their proficiency to exploit people.

America is a joke on itself.

I almost past thios article up. Boehner, caving, again!
But I wanted to read the remarks not what the Clown of the House had to say

Come on, folks. Can’t you see how pale he’s getting? These exhausting negotiations are keeping him from his tanning bed.

Sure he understands it. And he agrees with it. If anyone thinks the republican elite are any different from the regressive elite, well, wake the hell up.

I am done with republicans. I will never vote for one again. If we are ever allowed to vote in sham elections again.

Boehner is a either a cynical surrender monkey or a clueless idiot.

Your guess which is a as good as mine.
