Hey, anyone know how 3rd Amendment supporters voted?

Hey, anyone know how 3rd Amendment supporters voted?

Third Amendment supporters are among the most motivated voters, because nothing is more fundamental to our liberty than the right not to have soldiers quartered in our houses in time of peace, or even in war, except in a manner prescribed by law.

Without the Third Amendment, the First and Second Amendments don’t mean jack.

They vote, but for whom, I wonder?

Hmmmph!

I’d rather have a soldier hanging around rather than a politician…

Excellent point! However, isn’t the 10th Amendment more pertinent at the present time!

Is it the Ithaca water or something?

Clearly Obama voters. Smaller military equals less chance of quartering.

I will need to quarter the militia to protect my property from the communist dogs roaming Evanston, IL.

Two of the complaints against King Geo. III were,
~~He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance,
~~For quartering large bodies of armed troops among us,

The Welfare State, with its countless hack employees “administering” its numerous programs plus its countless “clients” (i.e., our “fellow citizens” who believe it is better to live off of others) it serves, falls right into these same complaints groused at by the then colonialists.

The next time we’re writing a constitution we really should remember to include “separation of economy and state” in there.

I think some folks decided a sense of humor was in order…
