Rep. Jim Moran’s son implicated in voter fraud scheme
The son of Representative Jim Moran (D-VA) resigned this afternoon following the release of a video from James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas showing him scheming to commit voter fraud with an undercover investigator.
Pat Moran is the field director for his father’s reelection campaign. Project Veritas has conducted several investigations already this year into voter fraud. According to Project Veritas, Moran advised using utility bills to commit voter fraud:
When approached by an undercover investigator for advice on how to steal the votes of more than 100 people, Moran advised falsifying documents to satisfy Virginia’s new voter ID law. He said, “Bank statement obviously would be tough, but they can fake a utility bill with ease.”
Moran went on to clarify that, “You’d have to forge it.”
Announcing the release, James O’Keefe said, “This is the most damning evidence to date of the scope of voter fraud in this country. Patrick Moran is not only the son of an 11-term Congressman, but is also the Field Director on his father’s re-election campaign.
“If anyone should be opposed to voter fraud it’s him. Yet he actively encouraged our investigator to forge documents and pose as a pollster to disenfranchise registered voters in Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Maryland.”
According to TPM, Pat Moran has now resigned, writing “Effective immediately, I have resigned from the Moran for Congress campaign.”

Apparently, a Moron doesn’t fall far from the tree. 🙁
He learned that from somebody… ahem…
They’ve got a school for everything else.
This kind of thing will continue until they start sending folks to jail for it. Personally, I don’t care what party you belong to – if you commit voter fraud you’re attacking one of our fundamental freedoms. Get convicted, you should got to jail. And I don’t mean a minimum security ‘country club’ facility… you need to go to the Big House and have Bubba for a cellmate. IMHO, anyhoo.
It’s always democrats.
I’ve had fraud and intimidation committed against me in three states, from absentee ballots that were spoiled when I received them to being told I wasn’t allowed to vote at the polls.
Always by Democrats.
party does not matter, its always wrong.
no matter who does it they should be punished for it.
It’s odd that after resigning “effective immediately” Patric Moran is still using his campaign email address to correspond with TPM.
“Effective immediately” doesn’t seem to mean to him what it means to everybody else.
I have been working (in humor and jest) on an “Enemies List”
Am up to about 250 entries
Added Jim Moran and McDermott last night.
”Effective immediately, I have resigned from the Moran for Congress campaign.”
…Yeah, that should free up his time to commit even more VOTING FRAUD.
Nothing about this will be reported in NY Times, etc. Life will go on, fraud will go on, and O’Keefe will be hated more than ever. In fact, I’d look for an assassination piece on O’Keefe in an upcoming NY Times Sunday edition. Done in their best urbane style, of course.
Look for the intrepid Mr. O’Keefe to have a Breitbart-type heart attack, “So unusual in someone so young. Tsk tsk.”
Related, in North Carolina, they have found to have a total Absentee Ballot vote of over 2,660 people over the age of 110.
Does anyone know if anything is being done aboout this? Are the ‘pubs in NC just sitting on their hands again?
Though I’m certain of voter fraud, this isn’t it. It isn’t required that one enter a date of birth on your voter registration card in NC. When they do a computer accounting, the computer program enters a default birthdate of 01/01/00, making you appear to be 112 years old.
The ‘Pubs’ in NC have delivered, in 2010, the first GOP majorities in the NC state House and Senate since, ohhhhhh, 1492 or so. We have also worked to push Romney’s advantage to +6, taking NC off the toss-up lists. We are on the verge of electing Pat McCrory (R) governor (he’s +13 at present). We’ve also got a couple Dem US House representatives on the run: Rouzer (R) is even with McIntyre (D), while Hudson (R) is about to unseat Kissel (D). Statewide, we who also belong to the Tea Party have increased Af Am membership to almost ten percent in some areas – of the Tea Party. They are now getting familiar with Republicans and the GOP.
You were expecting more of us?
Thanks for explaining about the voter registration DOB default. That makes me feel much better. I carry a lot of trepidation about the rats and their formidable voter fraud machine. I’ve seen it in action.
As to how you’re doing there, good job! Now, if you could just run Crystal Mangum out of that state and restore some sanity to Duke University in general, you’d be golden. 🙂
Meanwhile, the Democrats have trotted out their Bush v. Gore hysterics about Republicans stealing votes via electronic voting machines. Apparently Romney owns an interest in some company that makes voting machines that are used in some places in Ohio. Or something.
Obviously he doesn’t own shares in the company that supplies them to North Carolina, where voting machines are counting Romney votes for Obama.
Democrat motto: we sling the mud we wallow in so nobody notices how filthy we are.

[…] Rep. Jim Moran’s son implicated in voter fraud scheme Posted by Anne Sorock Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 5:34pm https://legalinsurrection.com/ ============================= http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2012-10-24.html […]
Jim Moran is a throwback to the Tammany Hall type politics of union thuggery and broken kneecaps.
So his son is a chip off the ol’ block.
Junior will keep on keeping on. He will continue to commit fraud unfettered. In fact, it may be easier now.
Just way too many Democrats to go before the election….
Voter fraud protection needs full attention before the 2014 midterms.
Hey – liberal, democratic, uber-biased media. ARE YOU LISTENING? Are you going to give this the George Allen ‘MACACA’ coverage?
There is a reason he is known as “Jim MORON” around Northern Virginia…
But we have been ASSURED that voter fraud is NOT an issue and we NEED NOT BE CONCERNED with it.
Obviously, O’Keefe tricked the poor boy. We should call for an IMMEDIATE investigation of O’Keefe and his young friend in the short skirt from the ACORN videos!
Cue the Liberals screaming “the tape is selectively edited” in 3… 2… 1….
Let’s see if Jim Moran throws his son under the bus to save his political career by claiming “he knew nothing about it” and how ashamed he is that his son would tarnish the great tradition of free and fair elections in this nation.
Time to put the Sheriff, District Attorney and local Voter Boards noses to the GRINDSTONE Virginians. If they refuse to investigate and indict, SUE THEM for failing to enforce the laws (not sure whom the appropriate party is in Virginia).
Questions for anyone with the time to run them down:
1) what will Mr. Patrick Moran be doing Monday? He has left his father’s campaign and no longer has a paid job. How will he spend his time? I’m afraid I know the answer but I don’t want to appear too cynical.
2) what will Mr. Patrick Moran be doing in six months? Twelve months? Unless I miss my guess, he’ll be employed by a Soros-funded NGO.
3) remember those folks at ACORN Mr. O’Keefe previously burned? Where do they work today? Who signs their checks? What are they doing in the two weeks before the election? I’m speculating that the nut doesn’t far too fall from the tree.
The points are simple: first, that these folks are crooked through and through.
But more important, unless the conservative side has concerted follow through and an institutional memory, folks like Mr. Moran and the ACORN-ites will simply lay low for a short while and then pick up doing just what they were doing before. Someone else will be signing their checks but the job will be the same.
I applaud Mr. O’Keefe, and I’m especially happy with Prof. Jacobson’s efforts (e.g., with Prof. Warren). But one thing the conservative moment needs is the ability to watch the people we’ve caught.
Leopards don’t change their spots.
Jim Moran sent an open letter to Eric Holder — yesterday — calling for an investigation of GOP voter fraud.
I kid you not.
You just have to admire CHUTZPAH when you see it…
The campaign ads write themselves.
Also..replace “resigns” with “indicted” and we’re golden.
This is why the left threatened to sue if billboards saying “Vote Fraud is a felony” were not taken down. And they got them taken down.
Imagine that voting illegally is illegal?? Next you’ll tell me illegal aliens are in the country “illegally.”
Here is the link to Jim Moran’s open letter calling on Holder to investigate the GOP for voter fraud.

More proof liberals PROJECT what they do on to us.
The rotten apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
posted this at PJM too, maybe someone here knows:
I easily could be way off, and if so please politely tell me, but isn’t this considered committing federal crimes across state lines and possibly a rico violation?
seems to me there was a part of rico statutes that covered others advising how to commit crimes across state lines.
my memory on it is so vague I don’t even have a good start point for a search term so if way off please forgive me.
RICO charges are federal. Are you telling us you actually believe Eric “my people” Holder’s Department of Injustice would investigate this?
Or any other instances of Dem voter fraud, for that matter.
whether holder would do anything wasn’t really the question.
Here now, it is clear to me you’ve all taken young Mr. Moran completely out of context. Very racist.
Oh, this isn’t the last of this story for Jim Moran. In a district like this, you’ve got to be a bit more combative to be in such a minority. facebook.com/AFCYR <<< see what we're doing in the next few days.
