Huge Romney-Ryan rally in Waukesha, WI (photos)

Anne is at the Romney-Ryan rally in Waukesha.  She says the crowd is so large they had to move the rally from indoors to outdoors to accommodate all the people.

We’re still trying to confirm the crowd size estimate.  (Campaign says 10,000, which is similar to what Anne was told.)

Apparently three protesters managed to interrupt the speeches.  Here’s a tweet of one heckler.

Here are some photos Anne sent along.

The line of cars seemed to go on forever:

The crowd was large:

And Anne managed to get pretty close to the stage

Obama Headquarters, Chicago, IL:

WHOOOP, WHOOOP, WHOOP! DIVE, DIVE DIVE!

No surprise here: when one of their hecklers is removed from an RR rally, the Left treats it as a reprise of Tienanmen Square.

Holy Schneikes! It’s Chick-Fil-A all over again! OCCUPY Romney/Ryan!!

Excellent! I notice that the crowd is calm and organized, too. That can’t be a Romney/Ryan rally, because his supporters are a bunch of rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth rednecks, right?

Slightly off topic, but tangential to the left’s ‘civility’: I visited the ‘Defend Paul Ryan’ facebook page. The comments (from the left) are horrific. And they are resorting to ‘you spelled a word wrong, so your whole argument is invalid’ nonsense. I tried to point out that they were acting like playground bullies, and was promptly called an ‘asshat’ and told ‘f*ck you’ several times. Lefty civility at it’s finest!

Keep up the good work, Professor!

ROMNEY/RYAN 2012. The only good duck is a lame duck.

VetHusbandFather in reply to Timothy S. Carlson. | August 12, 2012 at 11:43 pm

Let them at it. The more they try to paint Ryan as an ‘extremist’ the more they are distancing themselves from the average voter. Fact is most Americans want our fiscal house in order, I think 2010 showed that well enough.

This time, the “hope” IS “change”.

I don’t have words to describe how much I love this weekend. I still have a lump in my throat after that rally in WI. Paul Ryan is right, we can do this.

heimdall in reply to Mary Sue. | August 12, 2012 at 10:52 pm

Were you there? That would be fun to be a part of the moment. Too bad I don’t think the same will happen out here in Washington state. No point for them to visit and rally out here with a 55-60% liberal population…damn Californians.

VetHusbandFather in reply to heimdall. | August 12, 2012 at 11:46 pm

I live out on “the Eastside” and I’m amazed how many liberal voters there are here. I guess people here really don’t know what is best for them.

Mary Sue in reply to heimdall. | August 13, 2012 at 12:16 am

No, I wasn’t there. I just watched on the internet but the Right Scoop has the video posted. If I could have gone to any rally though I would have chosen this one. I just think there was something really special about Ryan being welcomed home after being tapped to become the next Vice President of the United States.

I can understand your feelings of regret that they most likely won’t be taking the campaign to your neck of the woods. I do look at this a little differently though. We’ve all been part of a community – of political junkies if you will – who have watched Ryan these past few years. In some ways I feel as though we are watching “the boy next door” get the recognition he deserves. He’s our guy, we want to protect him and we want him to shine. Maybe we are all honorary “cheeseheads” this weekend. I have a good sense how his neighbors must feel even though I am all the way out here in Pennsylvania.

There’s going to be a lump in Obama’s rear-end, and it’s going to be from our collective foot.

Although I did not originate the following comment it fits my view of this rally.

“People in this country are ready for change and hungry for a different kind of politics and … for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback.”

The quote came from Michelle Obama Speaking in Milwaukee, Wis., Feb 19, 2008 and echoed here by the silent majority on August 12, 2012

great unknown | August 12, 2012 at 8:57 pm

Perhaps an ad or something on YouTube aggregating video of the hecklers and titled : “The Other Side’s Version of Civility:
These Are the People Who Want to Ru[i]n Our Country.”

DINORightMarie | August 12, 2012 at 9:31 pm

Prediction: the left will be all frothy and unhinged, going on in vitriolic hysterical fashion: “…..Romney/Ryan went ALL THE WAY from…from… [*eyes rolling* *wide-eyed* *gasp* *choked-off-shriek*] North Carolina!!! to…to [*gasp* *sputter*] Wisconsin!!!! [*gasp*] They must have FLOWN……on. A! PRIVATE!! JET!!!! Oh, my GAWD!!!! Oh, the humanity!!”

Who was it above who commented, “I am so loving this weekend”?

Yeah. OH, yeah. 😉

However, as sweet as it is……gird your loins, fellow patriots! The excrement is about to be flung at lightening speed from any and all directions by those desperate, delusional, dictatorial Alinsky-ites on the left. They never quit; the never give in; they never stop. That is why they must be BEATEN by truth, facts, and good old American know-how. By God’s grace, Romney and Ryan will prevail against the Chicago-on-the-Potomac thugs. We can’t rest…..not with this crowd.

Let’s send ’em packing!!! And let’s work TIRELESSLY to get Reid put in his place as the MINORITY leader, too….before he is investigated for insider trading, shady deals, etc. etc. etc.

But for now, today, this moment…..oh, so very sweet!

Juba Doobai! in reply to DINORightMarie. | August 13, 2012 at 1:59 am

Let’s work tirelessly to get real Conservatives in the Senate leadership so the existing asshats don’t try to “share leadership” with the Dmocrats again.

Well, with excited, overflowing crowds at Romney/Ryan rallies …

… the boasted glee among Democrats with the Ryan pick must be exponential at this point.

Matthew Weaver | August 12, 2012 at 10:00 pm

Great to see event after event now have overflow crowds. I was at the 3rd stop in Virginia yesterday. Reports now indicate over 8,000.

Here is my write up at NoQuarterUSA: http://www.noquarterusa.net/blog/69996/romney-today-is-not-the-romney-caricatured-by-the-media/

TrooperJohnSmith | August 12, 2012 at 10:00 pm

This just in from far West Texas:

“At last, kiddos, ‘Hope and Change’ without the smoke and mirrors. Without the fake cardboard Greek columns and the dime-store phallic symbolism. Nobody gets car fare to pass out on cue when they speak.

“Hell no! This Wizard is real, for all to see, and not behind some dad-blamed curtain, manned by evil Chicago handlers! You don’t have to imagine some phony baloney bullsh!t to believe in these two and the promise they bring.”

“I ain’t felt this damn good in a long time. And I’m stone cold sober, too!”

You can only keep a good Country down for so long…

How we came out of the ’60’s-’70’s, and elected Ronald Reagan still boggles the mind.

We ARE who we say we are! (Denny Green)

NOT who the libs tell us we are.

This makes me sooo happy. We know the MSM will not give us the correct poll numbers so we must watch the results of RR rallies. We will get those despicable people out of our White House, we just have to pray we survive the lame duck session. God bless America!

Good work Anne!

Glad they removed the stooge hecklers. More than just myself tired of plants insisting they have the freedom of speech to deride derail and deny freedom of speech.

Over 10,000 at the Romney/Ryan rallies, and Obama couldn’t get more that half a room at a $51/head fundraiser in deep blue Chicago.

But…But…But… the polls are tied and/or Obama has a slight lead.

What am I to believe: The elite media, or my own lying eyes???

The eeyores can crow all they want about how Romney isn’t conservative enough.
Average Americans understand that Obama is the most destructive, anti-American President in history, and he and his ilk MUST BE STOPPED.
And Romney needs to fire the entire State Department, among other departments as soon as he takes office.

I would vote for a table cloth over Obama, and I would do phone banking for that cloth.

This is America. Awake. Fighting back.
Damn, I’m proud of ’em.
They get it.

BannedbytheGuardian | August 13, 2012 at 12:43 am

I read the $3.5 mill since announcing.

According a to a post on RS it is only 50% of 2008’s 24 hour haul.

-just reporting the fact.

Yeah, probably because people are BROKE in 2012, thanks to Obama.

BannedbytheGuardian in reply to Tamminator. | August 13, 2012 at 1:03 am

Yes could be. I also think this campaign might be very leaden.

I am doing my own little ‘enthusiasm’ survey.

I find RS to be a good place to go to catch full vids. I am fairly familiar with the posters & think posters are sympathetic to Palin.

However I note that 3 Palin posts over the last 48 hours have garnered 429 comments . 4 posts of R&R have totalled only 210. If you extract the 88 for Romney’s ousting of a heckler -always a hit – then 3 for 3 is 449 to 129.

I am a diehard Palinista, proudly and unashamedly so. But, you know what? She’s not running for POTUS this year. I don’t care right now if posts about her get more comments though I’m glad they do. I care that we beat Obama’s arse like a tennis ball in a Williams-Sharapova match. I care that Romney, the only thing I like about him is his sense of family, has chosen Paul Ryan who scares Obama as much as Palin does. I care enough to cool my anti-Romney jets and not make counter-productive comparisons. What say you do the same until November 7th?

BannedbytheGuardian in reply to Juba Doobai!. | August 13, 2012 at 2:52 am

I will continue to monitor comments & numbers if you don’t mind. Imo this is pointing to a low turnout election & I might go & bet on Intrade!

BannedbytheGuardian, its interesting you bring up Palin. I was just thinking how refreshing it is to have a VP candidate able to articulate a clear response to every question thrown his way tonight on 60 Minutes just over 36 hours since he had been announced as Romney’s running mate. A complete 180 from when Palin was hid in a closet for three weeks after she was announced and then proceeded to crash and burn in grand style.

      BannedbytheGuardian in reply to Jaydee77. | August 13, 2012 at 1:53 am

He ought to be able to answer questions about the USA given he has been a rep for 14 years & should have studied up on every bill he has ever voted on.

That is still his one & only job .

But bring back the Charlie & THe Perky One.

Juba Doobai! in reply to Jaydee77. | August 13, 2012 at 2:08 am

The short and polite answer to your comment starts with a F and ends with a U, you ignorant little twit rejoicing in regurgitating LSM trash.

Uh-oh, looks like Romney/Ryan turned the dial up to 11.

Tonight I’m going to find out who makes “Depends” adult diapers, and when the market opens up tomorrow I’m going to buy! buy! buy!

Thanks to the Ryan pick I figure Dems all over America will be incontinent from here to Election Day. Hell, Debbie CurlyFry-Schulz could be a market maker all by herself!

Good job Anne, you did get quite close.

The line of cars seemed to go on forever:

-Momentum

Americans want work, not welfare; unity, not racial divsion; equal opportunity, not equal outcomes; reasonable laws pro-growth laws, not growth-stifling regulation and rank lawlessness. We want transparency, not obfuscation, lies, spin, and demagoguery.

We want freedom, not Communism; Judaeo-Christianity, not Islam; freedom to worship and to follow the tenets of our faith, not government diktats that make the synagogue and the church subservient to government whilst the mosque remains exempt.

We can expect to see even bigger crowds for RR 2012.

[…] of the event are at Legal Insurrection and the full speeches are at The Right Scoop. Check ‘em […]

The top of the ticket is still a RINO. I will vote for ABO only because doing otherwise harms the country as a whole. Ryan may have a 93% conservative rating but I wonder what criteria is used to determine this rating. Ryan voted for the auto bailouts. He voted for No Child Left Behind and some other Bush RINO entitlements, gov’t expansion programs.

The money may be rolling in and the crowds expansive, but in the end, I doubt Romney will be much different than Bush was. Republicans aren’t conservatives anymore. They keep nominating RINO’s.

They keep “nominating RINOS”, because the districts and states, keep electing RINOS.

A whiz bang idea is have those RINOS (and dhimmicrates) run in a national election, just as a President and VP do..BUT total chaos would be the order of the day on that one.

One thing that many “AFRICAN”-American don’t understand and probably never will IS, YES Bush had faults but his programs that send U.S. dollars to Africa concerning education and fighting AIDS, have kept a God’s plenty of their heritage peoples alive.

That doesn’t bother those that decide that cult called islam, seeks to enslave and kill, as many other African’s as they can, is what a “fellow” called Phallah, tells them to do. That goes for Fairykhan and his followers too.

As you indicated, you will hold your nose and vote for R/R, which is one hell of a lot better then the Alinsky acolytes, such as 44, Hillary and the rest of this administration.

[…] our Democratic friends, Ryan will be in Florida later this week. The crowds will be […]

Over at the Daily Boast, a similar pic of long lines of cars trying to get into a Romney/Ryan rally had a seriously offered, non-sarc commenter complaining about all the carbon these racist Tea baggers were putting into the environment. That’s like complaining about a bristle tickling your nose when an elephant is sitting on your chest.
