Gov. Deval Patrick runs interference for Elizabeth Warren on false Cherokee claim

This is beyond bizarre.  I had heard about Deval Patrick saying something about how the people of Massachusetts don’t care about Elizabeth Warren’s false claim of Cherokee heritage, but until I saw this video (via Michael Patrick Leahy), I didn’t realize just how bad the press conference was.

There is something seriously wrong here.  Why does the Governor feel the need to protect a Senate candidate from questions which seemingly would be so easy for Warren to answer?  Why does Warren launch into a robotic class warfare speech every time the subject comes up.

What is going on here?

Is “I’m sorry, I was wrong” so hard for Warren to say, does it so shatter her being that she prefers to become a laughingstock of the nation not because she falsely claimed Cherokee heritage based (supposedly) on family lore, but that she cannot admit to it in the face of a mountain of evidence?

There is something very wrong here.  I don’t know if it’s a personality condition or there is some secret out there which she is afraid will be found once she starts answering questions.

Rope-a-dope is a good political strategy, but not when it makes you look like a dope.

We have a tradition of imbecility here in Massachusetts. Kennedy, Kerry, Republican cross-dresser Scott Brown. “Spitting Bull” will most likely get elected here….

Don’t forget Ed Boland, my former Congressman (Im from the Springfield area originally) who was the guy who wrote the Boland Amendment, which made it illegal to give guns to anti-communist rebels in Nicaragua. I never understood how anyone in America could have written such a thing.

How is that hard to understand? The Democratic majority in the Congress supported the Sandinistas. A large number of them sent Ortega a “Dear Commandante” letter. This was much the same D majority that had only a few years earlier forbidden Ford from complying with the USA’s solemn treaty obligation to South Vietnam, deliberately condemning our ally to death and slavery because they supported the enemy.

“Why does Warren launch into a robotic class warfare speech every time the subject comes up.”

Judging by the commercials running on her behalf, that’s pretty much all she’s got.

You’ve answered the question as to why Deval Patrick is running interference.

Both of these individuals are spouting the Obama election rhetoric. This isn’t Democratic party so much as it is the Obama clique.

Richard Blumenthal can lie and be elected senator.
Obama can lie and be elected president.
Why is everyone so focused on lying?

The Democrat Party is infested with SOCIOPATHS! Every one of them could pass a lie detector test with flying colors because they BELIEVE their own lies.

Obviously, Obama’s made up history and Elizabeth Warren’s made up ancestry are of a piece. Admitting that Warren used a false narrative to get professorial jobs for which she would NEVER have been considered might cause some indiscriminate act of “journalism” on the part of the media that has, as its first priority, protecting the MYTH that is Barack Obama.

Being a liberal/socialist/collectivist/Democrat is a religion is the best explanation I can give it.

Because the left has abandoned the Lord of the Bible it has followed Voltaire’s observation – “If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.” Collectivism and utter faith in Big Government are the left/Democrats’ invention.

This to me explains Patrick’s defense of a co-religionist.

Ever heard Oblahblahblah admit even “an error”? Why would you expect such from a member of his tribe, blood sister, fellow world traveling elitist, in this case, Scandi Scammin’ Squaw?

I would cut to the chase here, and say that Warren is a sociopath, in addition to her being a pathological lair. An apology from her, while smart politically, would be otherwise meaningless.

There’s socipathy at the highest levels of the Democrat party, including on the part of our marijuana-addled president. Deval has sold his soul and has simply become part of that cabal.

“There is something seriously wrong here.”

With our entire morally-inverted, Progressive-infected world.

In personal terms, this is just a sick woman; at the same time, she is wholly representative of the Left (I’d like to say of the “tragic flaw” of the Left but neither she nor the Left is large enough to rate the distinction). Anyway, it’s a blinding arrogance.

After watching this again, I am even more strongly convinced there is something (and I mean seriously) wrong with Warren. People around her know it, as does Patrick. I’ve never seen the like of this.

There is a pathology at work here in this woman.

“This is beyond bizarre.”

Yep.

It’s a Bazaar of bizarre. So many delectable offerings.

To me, the bizarre tale of the crabs forced to walk sideways thousands of miles from the coastline to Oklahoma in the cruel “Trail of Briny Tears” was the worst part. I never learned that in my EuroBipedal-centric history classes.

They made Wasserman-Shultz look good at ignoring a question in order to spew talking points. That was pathetic. Good for the reporter for pressing the issue. How can any thinking person think that Patrick or Warren answered the question, laid the issue to rest, or won that exchange?

LukeHandCool | May 30, 2012 at 9:27 pm

If a group of the Cherokee people speaking out recently had been there and spoken up … with cameras rolling … her campaign would’ve turned into toast. Burnt toast.

Look how red she gets when the question comes up. Where’s the diversity in the news media? Aren’t there any reporters of Cherokee ancestry? I’d love to see one self-identify and put her on the spot and grill her.

I guess Twila Barnes and her group just got their answer. The governor and candidate do not care about this issue. If Warren shamelessly stole their heritage to advance her career, well too bad – they have a campaign to run right now.

I am just stunned that this press event appears to have been planned to allow the Governor to head off any Native American questions and still he handles it as bad or worse than she might have. That was the planned answer? Seriously, we don’t give a crap about the Native American ancestry issue.

I think I might have to drag out the DSM to see if there is a personality or other disorder to cover this. My gut reaction is she is delusional. Unless there is some legal problem that would arise from her admission, I am at a loss to explain this insanity.

1. From the link: “I love this candidate,” the Governor said of Warren. “I’m excited about this candidate.”

Deval Patrick loves Elizabeth Warren as much as Barack Obama loved Martha Coakley when he had to come to MA to try to salvage her candidacy.

2. Obviously the Democrat Establishment is worried that the convention will force Warren into a primary. There will be a lot of sprained arms among the delegates, but will it be enough?

3. If Warren is rammed through the convention, there will be some unhappy moonbats in this state. At some point Warren would be better off accepting a primary than alienating the True Believer vote.

4. It’s often noted here at LI that the Left lets us know what they fear. In Warren’s case the fear is palpable but the reason is not. Maybe it’s true that Warren is crazy; or maybe something instantly candidacy-destroying has not come to light.

5. Godspeed to the oppo researchers. No stone unturned!

Sorry, I hadn’t realized the second part of my #4 basically repeats material in the original post. (There is something very wrong here. I don’t know if it’s a personality condition or there is some secret out there which she is afraid will be found once she starts answering questions.)

Similar things have been stated in previous posts and comments. Nevertheless, my stream of consciousness would benefit from an editor. I sense my high school English teacher glaring at me from the Other Side.

Some Democrats in high places must be worried about Warren’s chances if they convinced Patrick to endorse her before she has even won the Dem nomination. I wonder if another high-profile Harvard Affirmative Action beneficiary (who is also a buddy of Deval Patrick) made a phone call on Lizzie’s behalf?

I have to agree with the good professor: something strange is going on here.

This just in … The Warren campaign has released a digital copy of the Hawaiian birth certificate of Elizabeth’s great-great-great grandmother, O.C. Sarah Smith. Warren’s spokesperson said that if such a certificate is good enough for the President, then it was good enough for any citizen. He asserted that the birth certificate should put to rest all questions regarding Warren’s character and immediately mocked those questioning Warren’s background as “pedigree-ers” and labeled them racist.

Seven Hawaiian state officials have confirmed that they do indeed have Smith’s birth certificate. When a reporter asked Warren about the large box on the certificate labeled “Projected Great-Great-Great Grand Children” that has “Elizabeth Warren” entered, Elizabeth said that family legend held that Sarah had great predictive powers in addition to high cheekbones.

She can’t bring herself to admit that she gamed the system, that the system was that easy to game and that the system is unfair in the first place.

It would also put her in the position of admitting that she lied to get favorable treatment when she tries to pretend how egalitarian she and her fellow dems are.

That she now won’t speak to the Cherokee delegation speaks volumes to the voters.

A lot of posts have been about Elizabeth Warren & Governor Scott Walker, so I found this to be rather ironic:

MoveOn warns ‘We might have to pull the plug’

Without a rush of new cash, MoveOn says it will have to give up efforts to elect Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts, help the recall fight against Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, and energize younger voters who’ve soured on Washington.

Seem to be a lot of Dems getting thrown under the Obama bus.

Why does Warren launch into a robotic class warfare speech every time the subject comes up.

What is going on here?
———————————–

Bidness as usual for the Collective. No more.

These people LIVE by the lie. They lie to themselves first.

Then, they lie to all the world. It is who they chose to be.

The Affirmative Action scheme and its associated economic and political projects are very profitable and empowering to these people. Warren’s deception has brought unwanted scrutiny of this perpetual form of institutional discrimination. As with the public unions in Wisconsin, they have no choice but to, ironically, stand their ground.

“I know why I got in this race.”

Did she mean she knows why she decided to become a Native American?

Looking at the video again, I am wondering if she is Native American, African-American or Asian-American. It is so hard to say with those “high cheekbones.”

Have the polls reflected any backsliding of support for her? If not, then we should move on. The Democratic machine is consolidating their support for her and soon the media will drop the subject completely.

She’s not a sociopath. That’s silly. She’s just a liar who is running for office in Massachusetts. That state probably won’t care.

My dad told me that he had some tall uncles. Does that mean I can play center for the Spurs. Seems to me that these folks never go back and “look at the tape” for a little critique. Orrrrrr, they could just be that arogant. I know where I’m laying my money.

All she had to do was say she’s sorry.

In fact, I’m pretty sure she could still admit fault and walk away with a shot at winning. She doesn’t understand that the longer she holds out out, the less integrity she appears to have

They both have to pretend nothing’s wrong. The modern Democrat coalition depends upon it. If the average black voter figures out all these afprograms that are supposed to help them actually benefit well-to-do liberal white women and a handful of well connected black politicians it’s game over for maybe a generation.

Crunch a few numbers. If blacks voted 70-30 instead of 90-10 several solid Democrat states would trend Republican. A 60-40 split and the Democrat party stops being a relevant at the national level.

Patrick: “Let me say on behalf of the people of the Commonwealth, we don’t care about that subject”.

You do NOT speak for me, Governor.

Interesting to watch the Democrats destroy the one person left who might actually be able to save them at this point:

“A top Democratic operative told the Herald the endorsement is aimed at keeping the feisty DeFranco “on the mat. He endorsed Warren simply because they’re worried. They don’t want to allow (DeFranco) to catch fire.”
