While most Western leaders silently watched the conversion of Hagia Sophia, one of Christianity's holiest churches, into a mosque, India's Hindus seem to have bucked the trend. Crowds cheered President Trump as he rode in the armored presidential limousine, "The Beast," along the 22-km route from the airport to the Motera stadium, venue for the "Namaste Trump" rally.

India is gearing up to welcome President Donald Trump on his first official visit to the country. The U.S. President and First Lady Melania Trump will arrive on February 24 on a two day tour of the country. "India will accord a memorable welcome to our esteemed guests," Indian Prime Minister Modi vowed ahead of the visit.
