Iranian President Hassan Rouhani confirmed what we all, ahem, knew, that when hundreds of thousands of Iranians led by the Iranian leadership chant “Death to America,” they don’t really mean it.

He didn’t say “I’d really like to visit Disneyland,” but he did downplay the significance.

What they mean is, well, here’s the...

Aside from the specific problems with the potential deal between the so-called P5+1 and Iran (and the way it’s reported), there’s a historical precedent that’s troubling.

One of the reasons many in the West saw Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s election as a harbinger for rapprochement with Iran was because when Rouhani was...

As an antidote for all of the happy talk to emerge from the first round of P5 + 1 talks with Iran about its nuclear program, Anne Applebaum’s column this week provides ample documentation that President Hassan Rouhani isn’t such a reformer.

One of the problems with President Hassan Rouhani’s charm offensive is that he has a record.

It’s a record that shows that he excuses the death penalty for protesters, defends Iran for its sponsorship of terror and boasts that he duped the West ten years ago.

All of this is a matter of...
