Shooting suspect expected to appear in court this afternoon

Floyd Lee Corkins II, the suspect in Wednesday’s shooting at the Family Research Council, is expected to appear in court Thursday afternoon after authorities filed a criminal complaint earlier this morning.

At approximately 11:35 a.m. eastern Casey Mattox of the Family Research Council tweeted that there had been a shooting at their headquarters in downtown DC. While few details are known, Mattox reports that a guard was shot.
