Last month, Chelsea Clinton was among the many Democrats who condemned Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for her anti-Semitic ravings. Yesterday, Chelsea was surrounded by a mob of NYU students who berated her for these comments and blamed her and her comments for the New Zealand mosque attack that left 49 dead and another 48 injured.

Oh joy. Chelsea Clinton said in an interview that she wouldn't rule out a potential run for political office. From The Journal News/lohud:
"I think if someone were to step down or retire and I thought I could do a good job and it matched my talents, I’d have to think if it’s the right choice for me," Clinton said in an interview ahead of her upcoming book appearance in Eastchester.

Okay, this story made me giggle.  A lot.  The very idea of Chelsea Clinton relegating herself to the boonies of Arkansas, a state her parents disdained and couldn't leave quickly enough, is hilarious to me.  Not so to Politico, however. The idea of the Clinton dynasty just will not die, and poor Chelsea is going to be sacrificed on its altar.  Remember when the media and left was pushing the idea of a Chelsea run for the U. S. House of Representatives in New York?  That fizzled out quickly.

Writer Christopher Janes Kimberley of Albany, New York filed a complaint against Chelsea Clinton alleging Clinton committed copyright infringement by ripping off his book idea. Earlier this year, Clinton released a children's book entitled, "She Persisted", a phrase made famous when Sen. Elizabeth Warren was shut down by Senate Majority Leader McConnell for violating floor rules.

Democratic Party loyalists may tell you they still believe Hillary should have won the election but she didn't and at this point, most people feel done with her. It's not just Hillary either, it's Bill and Chelsea as well. How else can you explain a piece like this in Vanity Fair?
Please, God. Stop Chelsea Clinton From Whatever She is Doing The last thing the left needs is the third iteration of a failed political dynasty. Amid investigations into Russian election interference, perhaps we ought to consider whether the Kremlin, to hurt Democrats, helped put Chelsea Clinton on the cover of Variety. Or maybe superstition explains it. Like tribesmen laying out a sacrifice to placate King Kong, news outlets continue to make offerings to the Clinton gods.

We have covered the rollout of Chelsea Clinton. The fawning media coverage portrays Chelsea as an emerging (or already emerged) leader of #theresistance to Trump. Her every tweet is promoted by outlets such as The Hill. This has a very professional ring to it -- there must be a team working for Clinton World that has structured the building of Chelsea's public image with an eye towards public office. But it's too soon to run for something now. Mom is still making news, and Dad is just still wandering the land in search of *****.

In the span of just two weeks, we've been told that Chelsea Clinton is writing a children's book, has been named to the board of directors at Expedia, and that she's being given an achievement award for some reason. Are you seeing a pattern yet? Tell us she's not being groomed to run for office. There's more, too. Ann Friedman writes at the Los Angeles Times:
Just like her mother, Chelsea Clinton never gets a break This week, Variety magazine announced that it would honor former first daughter Chelsea Clinton at its Women in Power luncheon with a “Lifetime achievement award.” The news spread quickly among both Trump supporters and left-leaning Clinton detractors who believe that the family’s tone-deafness cost them the election. Chelsea accepting such an award at the tender age of 37 confirmed the “out-of-touch elite” narrative once and for all.

Has there ever been someone with so few real life accomplishments who got handed such great opportunities as Chelsea Clinton? You may recall her six-figure gig at NBC a few years ago. Now she's moving on to another green pasture, this time at Expedia. CNN reports:
Expedia names Chelsea Clinton to board of directors In a public filing posted Friday, the travel site said it named Clinton -- the daughter of Hillary Clinton -- as a member of its board on Thursday.

While the media obsesses over the Trump White House day after day, they are largely neglecting to report that a battle is still raging for the soul of the Democratic Party. Chelsea Clinton is gearing up for her turn at bat, but the progressive wing of the party isn't interested. The Washington Times reports:
