Jane Sanders, the wife of Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), announced the temporary shutdown of The Sanders Institute. The nonprofit think tank, founded by Jane and her son David Driscoll, has come under fire "amid criticism that the nonprofit has blurred the lines between family, fundraising and campaigning."

We've been arguing for almost a year and a half that the Democratic field, with its angry, socialist and unlikable candidates, will end with Democrats begging and pleading for Michelle Obama to run to save the nation from four more years of Trump. Most recently I wrote how Michelle Obama’s Grammys Buzz – A reminder of the mediocrity of Democrat presidential candidates:

It's time for Bernie 2.0! Self-proclaimed democratic socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) has officially entered a crowded Democrat 2020 presidential race. From Vermont Public Radio:
"I wanted to let the people of the state of Vermont know about this first," Sanders told VPR's Bob Kinzel. "And what I promise to do is, as I go around the country, is to take the values that all of us in Vermont are proud of — a belief in justice, in community, in grassroots politics, in town meetings — that's what I'm going to carry all over this country."

The surest sign that Beto is running is that a leader of "Draft Beto 2020" just shared a video of Bernie Sanders on his honeymoon in the Soviet Unino 1988:
"Recently discovered footage from 1988 reveals a shirtless Bernie Sanders with his wife, Jane, on their honeymoon in the USSR, drunkenly signing “This Land Is Your Land” with a group of presumed Soviets."

We all know how the DNC screwed over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in 2016 in favor of failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Now it looks like Sanders may run in 2020 after he added to his staff "the digital alumni who were key to his surprise performance in 2016" along with "the media production company that helped launch Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to prominence."

According to a new USA Today/Suffolk poll, Democrats and independents have little enthusiasm for the rising stars within the Democratic Party or a few of seasoned veterans except for former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). However, the poll didn't include former First Lady Michelle Obama. Professor Jacobson blogged yesterday that early polling shows Michelle dominating Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).

The only thing Bernie Sanders likes more than vilifying 'millionaires and billionaires' is talking about the imminent danger of climate change. He has frequently lambasted President Trump and Republicans for failing to take the issue seriously. But now we learn that like many people on the left, Bernie has a massive carbon footprint, especially when it comes to air travel.
